Hello, Gemma here today to share a card for the Halloween Theme Week here on the blog. My card features some great products from the September release – Halloween Pals and Fall Tags.

As an early Halloween treat during theme week, we’re having a 15% sale on all items in the Halloween category. No coupon necessary. 

I began by working on the background. I cut a piece of dark grey card, then used the jack o’lantern face die from the Fall Tags set to die cut some faces from it.

On a card base, I layered some orange patterned paper, leaving a thin white border. I heat embossed in silver the sentiment and some stars from the Halloween Pals stamp set onto the grey card panel. Then I used lots of foam tape to adhere it over the top of the orange background. This thin layer of foam helps to create some fun shadows from the die cut faces.

Next, I stamped some images from Halloween Pals, and used copics to colour them in. After die cutting them out with the coordinating dies, I used paper piecing to add some patterned paper details to their outfits, bringing everything together in the design. To do this technique, stamp the portion of the image you want onto patterned paper, then fussy cut them out. Go around the edges with a black pen, to get rid of any white edges from the fussy cutting, then adhere them on your die cut images.

I added the pumpkins and critters to my card to finish this fun Halloween project.

I began by stamping the images in black, then colouring them with my copic markers. I looked online for some colour combinations – pansies come in so many lovely colours! I decided to go with a bright colour scheme of purple and yellow, and used the following copic markers: BV02, V15, V17, Y00, Y11, Y15, Y17. One tip, if using these colours, is to be careful not to blend them together as the purple and yellow colours can get a bit muddy if you do.

For the background, I chose a piece of patterned paper to complement the yellow in my flowers. From a piece of white card, I die cut one of the the Window Frames die, then layered the panel on the card base with foam tape.

To bring in some more purple to the background, I used the Twine and Bows die set to cut some purple glitter paper, adding them underneath the window frame for a pretty accent on the card.

I layered the flowers and leaves onto the card with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape, where they overlapped the window. The floral cluster image included in this set made arranging the flowers on the left side so quick and easy as it’s already done for you!

I added a die cut sentiment from black card, using the ‘for you’ from the newly released Thankful For You Script. I stacked three layers of the sentiment so it had some dimension. To finish, I added some jewels in marigold and pansy purple – the perfect embellishments for this bright happy card!

Hi, Friends! This is Caly and I’m here today to share a project using the new, limited edition stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh for Stamptember!  We are so excited about this set and hope that it will inspire you to create wonderful projects! Paulina asked me to make something bold for today and here’s my take on that!

I stamped and colored these blue pansies using Copic markers.  The colors used are Y13, Y17 (flower centers), B21, B24, B26, B29 (pansies), and YG07, YG09 (leaves).  Once I was done coloring, I fussy-cut the images and added white gel highlights using my Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  I also added Nuvo glitter drops in Honey Gold in the center of the flowers for added interest.

For the pack panel, I ink blended Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink, concentrating from the center and blended out for a softer edge.  To give it more interest, I added some water splatters to remove color and give the panel some texture. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment in white, over black cardstock, using a sentiment from the Birdie Friends stamp set.  To complete the look, I added Pearl White Jewels to give the card a more elegant and refined look.

The other designers have been creating with this stamp set and will be sharing them in blog posts and/ or on social media.

These pansies were so fun for me to color because it really challenged me to shade in different areas to make it look more realistic.  In another life, I would love to be a florist – I have a weakness for flowers and am so excited that this year’s Stamptember set is a floral set!  Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed this project!

Hello, Gemma here to share a card featuring the adorable new Cuddly Cats stamp set and coordinating dies. I’m most definitely a cat person so was very excited to see this set in the September release.

My idea for this card came from the love of boxes that all cats seem to share. Whenever I have a box in the house, my cats have to sit in it! I thought it would be fun to create a tower of cats, all wanting to sit in the same box.

I began by stamping the images with a copic friendly black ink, then colouring them with my copic markers. I think cat images are always fun to colour as there are so many possibilities and I love to colour them to look like my own cats. Once coloured, I die cut them with the coordinating dies, then added some white gel pen accents.

For the background, I die cut the Storybook 2 die from white card. I blended some pastel ink colours on to the die cut pieces, then adhered the panel and the pieces onto my card base.

Next, I added the images to the card with foam tape, along with a sentiment from the Cuddly Cats stamp set, which I stamped onto a Stitched Speech Bubble die. I offset the white speech bubble on to another speech bubble inked with purple, to help it stand out.

To finish my card, I added some Pearl White Jewels for sparkle.
