Valentine Theme Week- Day 6
Hello Everyone, it is Zsofia here, and I am super excited to participate in the Valentine Theme Week with Pretty Pink Posh! I love to mix and match stamp sets and create new scenes. This time my matchmaking turned out romantic as I found the right pal for the cute koala from Heart Critters in the Crafty Critters stamp set. I gave it a heart shaped lock which matches the key for a Valentine scene. Isn’t it sweet?
**All items in the Valentine section are 15% off during theme week**
I started with stamping and colouring the images from Heart Critters and Crafty Critters. I used Copic markers and cut everything out with their coordinating dies. The colours I used are the following: E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, E00, R20, W9, W3, W1.
Then I created a stenciled background with the new Layered XOXO stencils: I used Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink for the X layer and Kitch Flamingo for the Hearts Layer. Before removing the stencil, I spritzed the hearts with a Clear Shimmer Mist for a subtle sparkle. When it was dry, I cut the panel down to be 4×5,25 inches and gave it a slightly bigger dark brown mat.
For the sentiment I used the Love Shaker die set: I cut it once from dark brown cardstock and once from pink shimmer cardstock and paper pieced them together. I used 3D foam tape to hold the pieces together on the back side and adhered it to the background. I had to double up the foam tape behind the koalas to be in front of the heart. I just love the dimension!
As a finishing touch I used some clay confetti from the Valentine’s Day Mix, just scattered a few across the card. I also used glossy accents on the word Love and the noses of the koalas. The eyes I made shiny with a black glaze pen.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and got inspired. Make sure to check back tomorrow for more fun!
See you soon, Zsofia
