Product Feature- Wrinkle Ribbon

If you are one to blog hop, you know that wrinkle ribbon is all the rage these days. There are so many fabulous colors, and it’s quite inexpensive. I have purchased from a few sellers, but there is one that truly stands out from all the rest. I happened upon PrairieBirdBoutique through Etsy and have had nothing but praise for this sweet seller.
This was my first purchase. These colors are PERFECT for the cards I have planned for the Autumn months. Love each and every one of these!
I have been playing with blues lately, so I couldn’t resist purchasing this bundle. These ribbons are truly irresistible, and they are so easy to use!
I couldn’t help but purchase this last bundle. Seriously, I love this pink one- it’s so luscious! Also love the dark chocolate brown- it matches so many things!
I don’t often post features on products, but when I do, you know that I truly love the product. Please know, I am in no way getting reimbursed for writing this post- it all just comes from the heart. :) Be sure to stop by PrairieBirdBoutique and look at all her fabulous ribbons. If you purchase any, please let her know that Paulina from PrettyPinkPosh sent you!
Happy Shopping! :)

Polka Dots Galore

It’s no secret, I love polka dots. They can almost always be found on my cards, but they also appear on my clothes, nails and accessories. What can I say, they add character and personality to everything! This card is no exception….

It’s been quite a while since I pulled out this adorable Dotty Tree Birds stamp. Did you notice that even the trunk on the tree has polka dots? I think that’s what I love most about this stamp. However, I love those little birds too! I brought out my newly purchased die from Taylored Expressions (love it!) and went to town. Oh yes, and I couldn’t resist using more of my wrinkled ribbon!

Lately I’ve been getting better about using some of my “older” stamps. I recently cleared out some items that I haven’t been using. (See “items for sale” section at the top of my blog.) There is still a lot that I need to sort through, but I’m definitely making progress! :)

It’s been so nice to post regularly to the blog, and also have time to blog hop! Somehow lots of the blogs I used to follow have disappeared….must find some new ones! If you have any crafty blogs that you really love, I’d love to check them out!

Hope you all have a great Sunday! Big hugs!

Friend Blend

I have been blessed with many wonderful friends- both ones I interact with often and others that I have come to know via blogging. I want to dedicate this post (and card) to all of my friends, however; I’m going to highlight a certain few on this post.

Kalyn-
You have been my friend since for quite a long time- my whole life! :) We have shared so many memories together over the years: blueberry picking, SPUD, doing crazy things after midnight, having late night therapy sessions…. I’m so glad that we have remained friends, and I truly value our sweet and unique friendship.
Ginny
You are truly one of a kind. I love that I got you into blogging and made crafting a huge part of your life. (Yes, I will take the blame.) It’s been so neat to see your creativity blossom, and also your blog following. You are so creative and I know lots more exciting things are in store for you!

Dawn
You have inspired me beyond words ever since I learned of your company. I have loved the small email interactions we have shared, but I truly treasure the dinner we had before the CHA show. You, my dear friend, are so very talented and I want to wish you all the success in the world with your stamp line.

Lindsay
I am so happy that we were able to meet in real life. You are such a doll! Each and every one of your blog comments put a smile on my face. I don’t know how our paths crossed in blog world, but I’m so glad that they did! Keep on being your smiley, creative self!

Those are the people I wanted to highlight in this post. If I had the time, I would write about so many more friends….perhaps I’ll do that in another post in the future. :)

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! For those who missed my post yesterday, I did one with my CHA pictures! Be sure to check those out!

CHA Pics

It’s hard to believe that the CHA SuperShow was already a week ago! I was hoping to get these pictures up a lot sooner, but life and work got super hectic. I must start of this post by saying the highlight of the weekend was meeting crafty blog friends. Upon looking at my pictures, I realized I really didn’t take many. :( I was so busy enjoying my time with everyone, I didn’t want to stop talking to take a picture!
On Thursday, the day of set-up, we woke up early so we could be one of the first ones there. It’s always nice to bring your things to your booth without all the machinery and people around. Since we are pros at setting up our booth, we got it done in a few hours. However, we had to wait for quite a while since some of our merchandise got delayed due to weather. Oh goodness, I was so tempted to go find these boxes myself….we finally got them (two days later than scheduled) and were able to stock up our merchandise. :)
Do you see all the boards hanging up with cards on them? I created every single one of those cards! It was so neat to see all my hard work displayed. Thank you to all who complimented them- I really appreciated those sweet words! :)
After set-up, I had the great privilege of having dinner with Courtney, Dawn and Kerrianne. We went to a cute Italian restaurant, Harry Caray’s. These ladies are so much fun- we talked for hours, but we could have spent so much more time there! It was awesome talking blogging, crafting and getting to know them on a personal basis. (Kerrianne & Dawn have more pics- be sure to visit their blogs!)
Here is the picture I took with Dawn McVey right before the doors opened on Friday. This girlie is just as sweet as she seems on her blog!
I couldn’t pass up a picture with Nichole from Papertrey. She was very, very sweet. It was so neat to talk with her!
Here is a picture with fellow DeNami DT member, Laurie. After corresponding for months, it was so nice to meet her! She is such a doll, and her daughter, Beth was super nice too! I had such a great time getting to know both of them.
It was so lovely to see Ashley Cannon Newell again. I have to say, she is one of the most fashionable people I know. Every single time I see her, she is wearing the cutest clothes! She brought along her husband, Mac, who is super nice. They make the cutest couple ever!
For those who follow my blog, you know that I love my WPlus9 stamps. Here’s a picture with Dawn, owner and designer, of this great line. She is so down to earth (and funny!), I connected with her really well via emails, but in person, we connected even more! Love this girl!
Here is a picture with the sweet Kerrianne. This girl made me laugh constantly- dinner the night before, was FILLED with lots of laughter. Side note: this girl knows how to do make-up! I need her to come teach me some tricks…..
It was so great to see Kelly Marie again! I was able to meet her at the CHA Winter show, so it was neat to reconnect with her again. Kelly is so very sweet- her blog posts are just a small reflection of her sunshine personality. :)
Lastly, here is a picture with Lindsay. This girlie always leaves me the SWEETEST comments- her comments always brighten my day! It was so exciting when she came up to me- she is so bubbly and adorable!
I hope you didn’t fall asleep…this was a long blog post! I hope that I get to see these girlies again- maybe the CHA Winter Supershow? ;) If you ever have the chance to attend one of these shows, it’s such a blast. You’ll love meeting blog friends, and of course, there’s lots of shopping too!
Have a great Friday! I’ll be back soon with a new card- boy, was it nice to get back to stamping!

DeNami Product Challenge #3

Hello, sweet blog friends!

It’s the 5th of the month, which means it’s time for a new DeNami Design challenge! This time around the challenge is to use GLITTER. If you know me, you know I love bling- can’t get enough rhinestones, glitter or shimmer paper!

For this card, I wanted to showcase the beautiful new Elegant Floral stamp set. I love how easy it is to create backgrounds with these images! In real life, this card is very, very sparkly. I added Blue Ice glitter to all of the blossoms- super pretty! To top of the card I did my fancy bow (video tutorial can be found here), then added a Lime Boutique Button. Did you notice the fun color combination? I’m so lovin’ blues and green together recently!

I hope you’ll be able to join along in this challenge! You have 10 days to play along, and there is a fun prize to be won! Head on over to the DeNami Design blog for all the details!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you were inspired!

Practicing Creativity Fun

Hello there!

Today I wanted to showcase Chatterbox and The Whole Cycle, along with an “older” Practicing Creativity set, Look Up. I’ve been seeing banners everywhere lately, but my favorite is by far Courtney’s. (That’s actually the only one I own, but why look for another one when I have the best?!) I love the versatility of this set!
I chose really neutral colors for this card- I purposely had to avoid looking at my pink cardstocks! It’s so funny how I gravitate to that color! Even now, I have on a pink sweatshirt, pink pajama pants and pink nail polish! :) Back to the card….I colored my banner with my Copics and added some beautiful Bronze rhinestones to the spook of the wheel. Quick, easy, but super fun!
I’ll be back in a few hours with my card for the new DeNami Design challenge- see you soon!

Stamps: Chatterbox, The Whole Cycle, Look Up, Polka Dot Basics (PTI)
Paper: White, Brown Kraft, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Ink: Vintage Sepia, blue

Other: Bronze rhinestones, Copics

Wishing You Notebook

Good morning!

I am so excited about today’s post- I’m featuring Chatterbox AND The Whole Cycle (both from Practicing Creativity-available on August 5th). When Courtney first asked us to create something other than a card, I was extremely nervous. I’m not a huge scrapbooker, and it’s hard for me to be creative outside of cards. Then it hit me, I could create a fun notebook! I created ones similar to this last year for my craft fair and had lots of supplies leftover. (Glad I don’t throw away too much!) ;)

I first started by creating a fun wheelbarrow background. Seriously, how cute is this stamp?! I added the pretty flowers for my front panel and pulled out some of my Copics. I was originally just going to stop there, but then I had this genius idea of stamping on the inside of the notebook. It took a bit of work, but I think it adds lots to this project. Gotta have a complete package, right?

I hope you’ve been enjoying these sneak peeks of Chatterbox and The Whole Cycle. Be sure to visit Dana, Karen and Courtney’s blogs for even more inspiration with these sets! These amazing sets will be available on August 5th- just a few hours away! You’ll want to be sure to snag them as soon as you can- they’re gonna go like hotcakes!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card featuring these sets AND a post with the newest DeNami Design challenge! Lots of fun coming your way!

Paper: White, Dark Chocolate, Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse (PTI)

Other: Chocolate Brown grosgrain, SU! scallop border, Copics

Practicing Creativity- Chatterbox

Hi there!

Wasn’t yesterday’s stamp set fun? I hope that you stopped by all of the Practicing Creativity DT blogs- they all had some great cards to share! Today we are featuring stamps from the new sentiment set, Chatterbox. Lots of fun ones are included in this one!

For this particular card, I chose the “wishing you” and “a happy birthday”- I thought they would go along perfectly with this little tricycle. I cut circles with my Cricut, then paper pierced them. Even though the paper piercing takes a little bit of time, I just love the look. I added a fun border punch and some Black rhinestones to dress up the card. Did you notice the yummy ribbon? That’s the Teal twill from Courtney’s store!

Are you getting excited for the release? Both Chatterbox and The Whole Cycle will release on August 5th, just a few days away! Tomorrow I’ll be bringing you a project featuring both of the sets- be sure to stop by for that!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!

Stamps: Chatterbox, The Whole Cycle, Polka Dot Basics (PTI)
Paper: White, Black, Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Hawaiian Shores (PTI)
Ink: Onyx Black, Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise (PTI)

Practicing Creativity- The Whole Cycle

Hello, sweet blog friends!

I’m here back in Washington- it is so wonderful to be back home. I had a fabulous time in Chicago meeting blog friends and doing some shopping. I have pictures lots of pictures to share soon! You’ll have to wait a few days….I got right back to work after I returned, and I will be going non-stop until the weekend. Lots of stories to share- be sure to keep checking back for those. ;)

Today’s card features one of my favorite Practicing Creativity sets- The Whole Cycle. This set is so unique- completely unlike anything I have bought (or seen) before. I honestly could not get enough of this set- it’s so easy to use and the possibilities are endless! For this card, I chose to use one of my favorite new color combinations- Aqua Mist, Black and Simply Chartreuse. It’s so fresh and fun! This card is pretty simple, but I think it makes a great statement. To add a tiny bit of sparkle, I used some Black rhinestones next to the sentiment. (Gotta have a little bling!)

Stop by the following blogs for even more looks of The Whole Cycle:

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow with a card featuring more images from the new sets!
