Polka Dot Banner

Hello there!

Today I’m writing to you from beautiful Colorado. I arrived yesterday and was able to spend the day with sweet Michele. She is just as sweet as she is in her blog and comments. We had the best time going to a Mexican restaurant, Simple Pleasures and Archivers. This was my very first time going to Archivers- oh my word, the store was amazing. I was in complete awe of all the products and how beautifully they were merchandised. I haven’t seen anything like this in Washington before. I bought a few goodies at both places- I’ll post a haul photo after I do some shopping at the show tomorrow!

Speaking of the show, I’m going to be working at the DeNami Design booth at the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Expo this Saturday and Sunday. There are some really great vendors here and lots of fun products! In our booth, we have the brand new boards we premiered at CHA, a large array of stamps and accessories AND hundreds of sample cards. You’ll want to be sure you bring your camera- there’s lots and lots to see!

Today’s card features the fabulous Look Up set- love these banners so much! I added lots of my favorite things to this card: polka dots, wrinkle ribbon, buttons and stamps! I had so much fun creating this card. :)

I’m sorry that this post is quite late….My body is not used to this high altitude and I’ve been dealing with some headaches and tiredness. Yuck! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

DeNami Theme Challenge #3

Hello sweet blog friends!

Today is the start of the next DeNami Design blog challenge. This time, we’re doing a theme challenge and it’s a fun one- BIRTHDAYS! I personally love giving birthday cards any chance that I can. There’s something about letting a person know they are treasured and being thought of on their special day.

For this card I wanted to use the Birthday Cake stamp. This image is so whimsical and it’s so fun to color! I decided to go with a girlie theme- I have lots of girlfriends and it’s good to keep these kinds of cards on hand!

I wanted to include a close-up of the card. I just love the glittery diamonds- they add so much to the card. It’s super easy to create this look….I’ll have to do a video on it in the future! Speaking of videos, I have a few coming soon! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope that you’ll join us in this super fun birthday challenge on the DeNami blog!
Paper: White, Brown Kraft, Berry Sorbet (PTI)
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Sweet Blush, Tea Dye Duo (PTI)

Shiny Apples

It’s the third Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time for the Product Spotlight on the DeNami Design blog! This is one of my favorite posts of the month; it’s awesome to see so many different cards using the same stamp! Each and every one of us design team members have such a unique style. :)

This month we are featuring the delicious Apple Basket. This stamp is the one I was most excited about when we released our new collection. I could color these baskets for days! After I colored all my apples, I added Crystal Lacquer, which made them shiny. It reminds me of the Red Delicious apples at the store!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Be sure to stop by the DeNami blog and check out all the great cards by the other DeNami DT girls.

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll see you with another post tomorrow!

August Ramblings

Hello sweet blog friends!
I was so sad that last month I wasn’t able to do my ramblings post. With all the craziness of CHA, I wasn’t able to find the time to do this monthly tradition. It makes me SO happy to see so many of my blog friends take on this tradition. I hope to see more! *hint hint* Well, enough of this intro, I’m ready to start rambling. ;)
  • My favorite flowers are pink roses. They are so pretty and elegant! If I were to get married tomorrow, these would be my wedding flowers.
  • I am far from athletic. I used to be good at basketball and enjoyed playing volleyball, but now I just make a fool out of myself.
  • Music is a huge part of my life. Rarely does a day go by where I don’t listen to some sort of music.
  • I’m not a huge fan of seafood. The only things I like are shrimp and salmon.
  • I am starting to become a professional traveler. However, I hate traveling. I love seeing the people when I get there, but the flight there is far from fun for me.
  • The past 3 months I have met over 20 blog friends. I’m extremely blessed to have a job where I can meet friends and chose the places I travel to.
  • I took my first Copic class this weekend. Hoping to take an advanced one in the near future. :)
  • Red Mango is becoming a weakness for me. I love their Key Lime flavor!
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting massages.
  • I’m starting to like the family cat. After he was attacked by a coyote, he has mellowed out and having to give him medicine (and seeing him helpless) has made me rather fond of him. Granted, I’m still allergic to him, but I don’t find him to be such a pest.
  • If I had the money, I would get lipo in a heartbeat. Yes, it’s the easy way out, but I’m getting tired of seeing things jiggle. (TMI?)
  • I’m trying to expand my circle of friends, and it is far from easy. Need to make a conscience effort to attend the college/ career group at my church so I can meet others my age. Blog friends are great, but I need more actual people I can see on a regular basis in my life.
  • This month I encountered a mouse twice. It was the same mouse, just in different states of being (ie alive and dead). Let’s just say, I hadn’t screamed like that in a LOOONG time.
Hope you found this semi-amusing or interesting. Thanks for stopping by and reading my ramblings! If you happen to post one, be sure to let me know so I can check it out!

Polka Dot Blog Hop

Hello and welcome!
I am beyond excited to announce that this is the VERY FIRST DeNami Design blog hop! We have played with the idea of having a blog hop for quite some time, but the timing was never right. After our latest release and CHA behind us, we thought it’d be the perfect time to do our first blog hop. Since I’m the DeNami DT coordinator, I had the privilege of choosing the theme. It wasn’t hard….who could resist some polka dots?? :)
My card showcases lots of the new designs, along with some fun colors. (Be sure to look below for the complete supply list.) I couldn’t resist bringing out TWO polka dot stamps- the Small Solid Circle and Polka Dot Background. Let me tell you, these stamps are so versatile, I could use them on all my cards! I added the Stitched Border then put a row of Aqua pearls in the middle. Before I didn’t care for colored pearls, but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these ones! :)
Now for the deets of the hop:
There are THREE $20 gift certificates up for grabs! We have one “hidden” on three different blogs on the hop. (Only I know where they are hidden!) For the highest chance of winning a prize, be sure to leave a comment on each blog. One of the people who comment on a blog hidden with a prize, will win one of the gift certificates!
The next stop on the Polka Dot Blog Hop is Rebeka’s blog! Just in case you get lost along the way, or missed any of the previous stops, be sure to visit the DeNami Design blog!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you were inspired! Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog on the hop for the highest chance of winning a $20 DeNami Design gift certificate!

Whimsical Flags

Hello there!
Do any of you ever get to craft with your friends? Yesterday (for almost 10 hours!), I got to craft with my friend, Ginny. It’s been months since we did this and I’m so glad we both found time to do it again! There was many movies, laughs and lots of candy. :) Today’s card is one of many that I created.
For this card, I wanted to bring out My Beach House. This set is truly a lot of fun! I really love the little flags and the small rope border is just too cute. Since I have SOOOO many stamps, it’s hard to give them all the love that they need and deserve. However, I’ve been doing a lot better about using the stamps I have. It’s always so fun to bring out a set that you haven’t used for a while- the creativity really starts to flow again!
Just in case you missed the news, I have a brand new blog candy giveaway up! Be sure to check that out!
In other exciting news, tomorrow we have the first DeNami Design blog hop! You’ll want to be sure to visit my blog (and all the others) to see some beauties, but also for the chance to win a mini shopping spree!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Enjoy the start of your weekend!

Embellish Quirky Cutesty Clean Challenge

Hi there!

I was about to call it quits in the craft room when I saw the latest Embellish Color Challenge. Oh my word, how cute is this challenge? I love these colors together- they totally remind me of Sarah Martina! :) There’s something shabby chic/ vintage about these colors, which is probably why I wanted to try out this challenge so badly.
Since Lawn Fawn is featuring this challenge, I thought it would be a good time to pull out Sew Lovely stamp set. I got out the spool of thread stamp and went to town. I wanted to add something special so I faux spooled twine onto the spools. It took a little bit of time, but I think it looks so cute! Since I didn’t have any embroidery thread, I used some twine and used my Copics to match it to the challenge colors.
Did you see that I once again pulled out my PrairieBirdBoutique ribbon? Yup, really can’t get enough of Patsy’s ribbons! I actually created three cards using all different colored ribbons- I can’t wait to show them to you in future posts! Speaking of these ribbons, I’ll be hosting a giveaway starting tomorrow (if I can get the picture uploaded) for some of these amazing ribbons. Be sure to check back so you can enter!
Hope you all have a great night!

This & That Notepad

Bright Colors. check
Scallops. check
Pleats. check
Useful. check

This notepad just makes me happy. I love these cheery colors and all those polka dots! :) It had been quite a while since I used these notepads, so I thought I’d bring them out again. I have so many of them, it’s not even funny. I really love doing these pleats with my ribbons (Click here to see my video tutorial). I wanted to try a new idea out for this project. I added twine on top of my ribbon- I really like this look! It kinda looks like I did stitching, but I really didn’t. Would you believe I still haven’t had the courage to try sewing on my cards?

Thank you to all who left a comment on my last post! It’s nice to know that you all like my chit chat. ;) Since you all requested I leave my blog the way it is, I’ll do so. Oh yes, I must also say that I enjoyed seeing comments from people who don’t comment often. I’d love for that to continue! Seriously, comments make me want to post more often, so the more you comment, the more I’ll post. *wink*

In closing, I want to mention that tomorrow I’ll be bringing you a new giveaway! You know that FABULOUS wrinkle ribbon I’ve been using? I’ll be giving some away! Be sure to check back tomorrow for all the details.

Thanks for stopping by Pretty Pink Posh today! I love that you took some time out of your day to spend it with me.

You Are My Sunshine

Good morning!

You all are FABULOUS! I talked with the owner of PrairieBirdBoutique and she said that lots of you purchased items from her store yesterday! It makes me so happy to support a great seller, but also that you all will be getting high quality items. I’m so anxious to see what you all create with her beautiful ribbons. Be sure to send me a comment or email with your blog links!!

Today’s card features stamps by WPlus9 Design Studio. My girl, Dawn, never ceases to amaze me with her fabulous new collections. She just released 4 new sets and boy are they all amazing. I wanted to get them all, but I had *some* self control. :) This card features Background Builders: Hearts and The Birds & The Bees. Super fun images in both of these set- be sure to check them out.

On a personal note, I’m going back to the gym today. It’s been at least two months since I had my last training session. These last few months I had to put personal life on hold, so now I’m getting back to my “normal” routine. I’m so scared to see my trainer! I will most likely have extremely sore muscles tomorrow….hopefully getting back to the gym will get me motivated to eat better and give me some more energy.

Before I leave, I have question: do you all like when I write lots in my posts? Do you read it? Sometimes I wonder if I should cut the chit chat and post that to a personal blog. I feel like I know you all so I like to post tidbits of my life, but I don’t want to bore you all! ;) Let me know…seriously….
