Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #16

Hi there!

Boy, oh boy, do I have lots of goodies to show you in the next few weeks! Today I made a TON of fun cards and projects that I cannot wait to show you! However, some are DT projects so they’ll have to wait to be shared. How’s that for a tease? ;)

I’ve admired the Waltzingmouse sketches for quite sometime, but didn’t feel like I should play until I actually owned some of their stamps. I recently purchased 4 sets, so now I can join in without feeling guilty! I simply adore their stamps that match the Spellbinder dies; can’t believe I waited this long to buy them!

I hope your weekend has been going well. Gonna do some blog hopping tonight- I miss seeing everyone’s creations and leaving some love! (We all love receiving blog comments!)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you were inspired!

Embellish Background Stamping Color Challenge

Hello there, sweet friends!
You know what time it is? Embellish Color Challenge time! I wasn’t planning on stamping tonight, but I just couldn’t resist Ashley’s amazingly beautiful challenge- Embellish Background Stamping. I’m amazed at how she consistently comes up with new ideas and amazing color combos! This time around was no exception….
I recently went on a shopping spree- MAJOR shopping spree. Got a ton of PTI goodies, Practicing Creativity ribbons and then I purchased my first Waltzingmouse stamps! I was so amazed at how quickly they got to me.  As you can see, I got Musical Backgrounds and Very Vintage Labels No. 5. Oh no, I didn’t stop there….I also got two other sets. Yup, gonna be holding off on crafting buys for a little while. ;)
Onto the card….. I couldn’t resist pulling out the musical note border- it’s so different than anything I have. I was trying to figure out what color ribbon I should use when I remembered I had some fabulous gray ribbon from the dollar store! Gotta love using some items from the crafting stash!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I would love for you to leave a comment- I miss hearing from you all!

Shopping Gals

Wednesday greetings!
I hope your week has been going well. It’s been another crazy week for me, but what’s new, right? ;) I’ve been keeping busy with work, spending time with the family, crafting and then trying to keep some sort of social life. It just amazes me how time gets filled so quickly!
Today I have some super fun and bright cards to share. Both of these cards feature the Shopping Gals by DeNami Design. Seriously, how funny are these gals? They look like they are having such a ball shopping together- reminds me of me and my girlfriends! What I REALLY love about this stamp- it’s SUPER easy to color with Copics!
This next card has the same layout, I just changed out the Spellbinder die and used different colors. I had the hardest time deciding what card I liked better, but I think I decided on the first one. I just love the Celery Grosgrain w/ Satin Edge! Super happy that I was able to mix the two companies I design for into one card!
I hope you had as much fun looking at these cards as I had making them! Until next time, have a good one and thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Happy Birthday Mom

Hi there, blog friends!
Today is a very special day…..it’s my momma’s birthday! If you have followed my blog for a while, you know that I get all of my creativity from her. She is the owner/ designer of DeNami Design– the company that I work for. She has encouraged me in my creative endeavors so very much. I am SO thankful that I got her creative genes! ;) I went a dedicated a blog post to her over on the DeNami blog- I know she’d love it if you left her a note!
That’s all for me today- I really just wanted to dedicate this day (and post) to my mom. She has touched my life and the lives of so many crafters nationwide. Someday, hopefully I can have the same impact!
Have a lovely Tuesday! I’ll see you tomorrow for some super fun cards!

Mimi’s Pajama Party

Happy Monday!
It’s the 20th, which means it’s time for a new DeNami Design challenge! This time around, we are bringing you a sketch by DeNami DT member, Sherri Thompson. I must say, this sketch was very intimidating to me- I wasn’t sure about the extra elements on the side. I knew that most people would do buttons so I wanted to go outside the box and added rhinestones. :)
I’ve been on a kick of using my Copics, so I thought I’d bring out a super fun Mimi stamp. I chose the Mimi’s Pajama Party stamp, along with the Let’s Get Together stamp set. How fun are these stamps?! DeNami Design has an AWESOME selection of the Mimi images- click here to view them all!
If you have a DeNami stamp, we would LOVE for you to join us in this challenge! It’s always so fun to see your creations and we always love having “newbies”!
Thanks for stopping by, sweet blog friends! I have lots of new cards coming to the blog this week- be sure to check by often!!

September Ramblings

  • I greatly despise gardening. All the weeding, watering and harvesting makes have a garden not attractive. I would much rather spend a little extra money and buy items at the store.
  • This year I am truly addicted to Toffee Mochas. They have just enough coffee to wake me up in the morning, plus it tastes delicious!
  • At one point in time, I was considering becoming a vegetarian. Then…. I realized how much meat I really eat and decided it was ridiculous to even think I could do it.
  • I had never created Halloween cards before this year. Not into scary things, but the new Halloween DeNami Design images pushed me over the edge.
  • I’ve temporarily given up on submitting to magazines. I hate being disappointed.
  • Rarely do I ever take my make-up off at night. It’s such a bad habit, but I’m usually too lazy and tired to do anything about it.
  • I admire people who can sew on their cards. I *tried* for the first time recently and my card ripped. Not going to attempt this anytime again soon…..
  • Excited to go shopping for Fall and Winter clothes. Anyone have suggestions on where to buy cute boots that aren’t too terribly expensive?
I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love! If you happen to do a ramblings post, be sure to let me know ! I’d love to stop by your blog and get to know you better!

Hot Air Balloon Love

Hello there!
Remember how I mentioned I may post more than one card at a time? Well, today I have THREE brand new ones to show you. Unfortunately these were all rejects from a recent publication call….I thought they had potential, but I guess it just didn’t work this time around.

This first card showcases one of my favorite dies at the moment; Ornamental by Tim Holtz. I just love this shape! I was eyeing the SU! one for quite some time, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of buying through a rep. When I went to a recent show, I saw that Maria from It’s Cheaper Than Therapy carried it. PERFECT! I was able to support my girl, plus I got a really awesome product. ;)
This next card features softer colors, which also just happens to be my favorite from the bunch. There’s something so fresh and inviting about this card. Oh yes and I can’t forgot to mention this scrumptious Celery grosgrain w/ satin edge! Seriously love this style of ribbon! I bought a lot and have already used it all! :)
This last card features more bold and rich colors. You’ll notice that I used the delicious Red grosgrain w/ satin edge on this one. Isn’t that bow awesome? Love how easy it is to create such nice big bows!

So, which of the three cards was your favorite? Since there’s so many cards, I’m not going to type out all of the supplies used, but I DID want to point out that these fabulous hot air balloons are from the Look Up set. This set has sold out so many times…..be sure to get it while there’s still some in stock! ;)

Thanks for stopping by! I’d love for you to leave me a comment- I miss hearing from my blog readers!

Cuddly Critters Blog Hop

Who else is super thrilled about the Cuddly Critters blog hop?
If you have started from the beinning, you should have come from Rebeka’s blog. (It’s always nice to know you’re on the right track!) Okay, back ot the post….. If you can see me right now, I’m just about jumping for excitement- I am thrilled that today has come! When I first came up with the idea for the Cuddly Critters theme, I knew that I would have a tough time deciding which stamp to use. If you know DeNami, you know we have a BUNCH of adorable critters…. everything from dogs to owl to the adorable chickies! Since it’s been a while since I used the chickies, I thought I’d chose one of those designs. :)

For this card, I pulled out the super cute Chickie Tree. Since they look like they are in a choir, I thought I’d add some of the Mini Music Notes. Love how they are the perfect size to go with the chickies! At the bottom of the card, I create a border with the Olive rhinestones. LOVE this color!
If you have done “the hop”, this is your last stop. However, if you’ve just joined in the fun, be sure to head over to the DeNami Design blog to start from the beginning! There’s two DeNami gift certificates up for grabs to those who are hopping along- all you have to do is leave comments! Super easy, right?
**Be sure to leave your comments before Sept. 16, 11:59pm, PST to be eligible for a prize.**

Product Spotlight- Halloween stamp set

Yippee! It’s the third Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time for the product spotlight on the DeNami Design blog! I was really excited about this spotlight because I just LOVE this particular set.
The product spotlight this month is the Halloween stamp set. Each of these stamps are great, but I just love the little spider. He is so happy looking! On this card, I colored him in a light shade of purple then added Lavender Frost glitter– seriously, how cute are the SPARKLY spiders?! :) Did you happen to notice the twine detailing I added in between the different color papers? It adds some extra texture and character to this sweet card. *wink*
Be sure to stop by the other DeNami DT member blogs- there are so many creative ideas using this set!

Hello, sweet friends!

Lately I have been super motivated to do challenges and the like. After I finished my blog hop & DT projects, I felt like searching for my next challenge. The target this time: Kazan’s Sketch #61. I miss not playing with the 2S4Y challenges- they are always so fun and inspiring! This one was no exception…..

For this card, I pulled out Critters in the Sea. Seriously, how adorable are those little turtles? I pulled out my Copics and went to town. After I finished the card, I felt like the card was lacking; hence the Baby Blue rhinestones! :)
