Summer Seashell Bucket

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I’m super happy to be back on the blog with this extra cute and colorful summer shaker card showcasing items from the June 2025 Release. What an amazing release it is, with all the beautiful summer themed products! I’m really enjoying working with all those new goodies!

For today’s card, I started off by cutting a large Stitched Torn Rectangle panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I covered it with salvaged patina oxide ink, and then added seashells all over it using the Seashell Background stencil along with peacock feathers oxide ink. As always I added texture to my panel, starting with water splatters that I dried with a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over the panel, I did the same with peacock feathers and prize ribbon oxide inks, and also added sparkling droplets using liquid stardust. When my panel was totally dry, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel using 1mm foam tape, and then the whole thing to a white card base.

Next I cut two more Stitched Torn Rectangle panels out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and used Shoreline Border dies to cut a border out of each panel: a small one and a bigger one. I blended antique linen and vintage photo oxide inks on both panels, and added water splatters, white ink splatters and brown splatters to create a sandy texture.

I cut five different Stitched Seashells and the shovel, which is part of the Sand Bucket Shaker die set, out of colored cardstock, applied matching distress inks to the edges of each element, mixed the same inks with water and added splatters to them, and did the same with copic opaque white ink. Set them all aside to dry, and built my Sand Bucket Shaker, following those steps:

1. Cut a Sand Bucket Shaker frame out of blue cardstock using the main die and the die that cut the bottom part off (added texture, which is totally optional)
2. Cut a whole bucket out of acetate, and stuck the bucket frame on top using liquid glue
3. Flipped the bucket over, and added foam strips all along the edges of the bucket and on the upper section as well
4. Poured a bunch of Beach Town mix and Spring Breeze shaker beads inside the bucket
5. Cut a whole Sand Bucket Shaker out of a light green pattern paper (added texture)
6. Peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and attached that green bucket to the foam strips to close the Sand Bucket Shaker

To decorate the front of the bucket, I cut a whole Sand Bucket Shaker out of a blue gingham pattern paper, trimmed the upper part off, added white splatters to it, and then attached it to the bucket using 1mm foam squares. I also cut the bucket handle out of white cardstock, added texture to it using pumice stone oxide ink and white ink, and once dry, stuck it to the bucket using foam squares again.

Next I assembled everything on my card, starting with the largest Shoreline Border that I attached using 1mm foam squares. I stuck my Sand Bucket Shaker, tilting it a little bit to the left, and tucked three Stitched Seashells inside of it. I attached the starfish outside of the bucket for more interest, added the small Shoreline Border to give the illusion that the bucket is tucked in the sand, and added the shovel and one more Stitched Seashells to decorate the bottom of my card.

I went for three greetings, white heat embossing them all on colored cardstock: “You are spe-shell” is from Seashells and I cut it using the matching die, “Happy summer” and “Wishing you sunny days” are from Sentiment Strips: Summer and I trimmed them using Sentiment Strips dies. I attached each sentiment on my card using foam squares, and to finish it, I added sparkles to the Stitched Seashells using white blizzard nuvo drops.

And that’s it! Thank you so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Vibrant Good Vibes

Hey friends! Justin here, and I am SO excited to be sharing one of my very first blog posts as an official Pretty Pink Posh Design Team Member! For my first month of my first term, I wanted to create a card that was full of color and just all around good vibes! I pulled in some new and older product to make this card come together, so let’s get into the details!

Below is a list of Pretty Pink Posh Products used to create this card:
Good Vibes Shadow Dies
Circle Grid Stencil

Other Key Products Used:
Picket Raspberry Distress Ink, Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink, Mustard Seed Distress Ink, Twisted Citrón Distress Ink, Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, Wilted Violet Distress Ink, Black Paper Splatter, Liquid Snowflake Paper Splatter, Black Cardstock, White Cardstock, Metallic Cardstock

For my colorful circle panel, I placed the Circle Grid stencil on top of a piece of white cardstock that is good for blending Dye Inks. Then, I used a low-tack tape to only expose one circle at a time (masking the surrounding circles) and I ink blended 2 different Distress Inks in each circle. I tried my best to use colors adjacent to one another on the color wheel. When I was done, I trimmed this panel down to 3.875” x 5.185” and then splattered both Black and Snowflake Paper Splatter to give it some detail.

To create my good vibes sentiment, I decided to die cut the shadow from white cardstock, and the letters from black cardstock, because I didn’t want to detract too much from the overly colorful background! However, once my sentiments were assembled, I did adhere them to my panel using foam tape so that they had some nice lift off of the paper.

I adhered my circle panel to a 4” x 5.25” panel of iridescent metallic cardstock, and then adhered that full unit to a 4.25” x 5.5” panel of black cardstock. I think this layering helps give the card nice clean edges, and a slight bit of a professional look.

When it came to finishing up this card, I adhered it to an A2-size card base, and also adhered some sparkle embellishments as well for extra glitz. I always like to add my embellishments as the very last step as I think it helps in not disturbing them!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Pretty Pink Posh blog today for some bright and colorful inspiration! I can’t wait to see what stencils you decide to try this  “mask and blend” technique on!

Happy Crafting!
Justin

Beachy Good Vibes

Hello and happy summer! Christina here. Looking to send someone some good vibes? I have the perfect card for you using products from the latest summer and beach-themed collection. I paired the new Good Vibes Shadow die with the incredible new Layered Seashells Stencils. No one does layered stencils as well as Pretty Pink Posh, and this one is no exception! I love building the layers on a darker cardstock like kraft, but for today’s beach-inspired card, I’m using an aqua blue cardstock. Let’s get started!

Good Vibes Shadow Dies
Layered Seashells Stencils
Seashell Border Dies
Stitched Torn Rectangles
Espresso Pearls

I started by die cutting the largest Stitched Torn Rectangle from aqua blue cardstock for my background and then stenciled it using the Layered Seashells. For stenciling, I used white pigment ink for the first shell layer, and for the second detail layer, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Salvaged Patina, Antique Linen, and Ground Espresso. I finished the background panel by splattering it with a glittery white liquid watercolor.

Next, I die cut the Good Vibes text from a slightly darker aqua cardstock three times, stacked them for dimension, and then added one last die cut in white, slightly offset, for a highlight to the text. I also die cut the shells from the Seashell Border dies and inked them in the same Oxide colors I used for stenciling. The last step for the text and the shell die cuts was to spritz them with a translucent shimmer spray.

Now it’s time to assemble everything into a card! First, I wrapped some twine around the bottom of the background panel a few times and secured it on the reverse side with scotch tape. Then I added foam tape to the rest of the panel on the reverse side, leaving a channel for where the twine is secured, before mounting it to a card base. Finally, I attached the Good Vibes text across the panel with glue and the seashells with foam squares in a small cluster over the twine. A scattering of Espresso Pearls was the finishing detail to this beach-inspired card design featuring products from the latest summertime collection.

Thanks for reading and see you again soon!

Daffodil Vase Shaker

Hi friends! Sophie here and today I am sharing a fun shaker card featuring a variety of products. Let’s take a look!

For my card I wanted to combine several of the May products together to create something bold. I used the Layered Teacups stencil set to create a tone-on-tone background. I started off stenciling on a light blue cardstock. Then I just used one color of blue ink to put in all of the layers to this stencil. I gradually built up the intensity to have the look of several different shades of ink.

I set the background piece aside and then worked on the shaker element for my card. I used the Vase Shaker dies and the Serene Shaker Beads to create a fun little centerpiece for my card.

For the sentiment I used the Friend Greetings stamps and coordinating dies. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again – these sentiments that PPP does with the combo script/block font and coordinating dies are my absolute FAVORITE! I think that the variety of sentiments included really lend themselves to many different types of occasions and I reach for these sets consistently.

For the flowers peeking out of the vase I built some daffodils using the Spring Floral dies. Then, to top it all off I used the bow die from the Floral Wreath die set

I hope you enjoyed this card! I hope it inspires you to mix and match elements from various different sets to create something fun and unique.

Monochromatic Beach Card + Video

Hey friends, it’s Mindy! If you’re a fan of beachy vibes and serene color palettes, this project is right up your alley! Using a (mostly) monochromatic color scheme, I created a calming ocean-inspired card that captures the beauty of the shore with just one color family — beautiful shades of teal.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

For this card, I worked with the delightful Beach Fun stamp set, stamping images onto smooth 80lb white cardstock and coloring them with alcohol markers for rich, blendable shading. To complement the stamped elements, I used the Layered Seashells stencil on a base of Seaside cardstock, blending Sea Glass and Turquoise Sea ink pads with a soft brush to create a textured, layered seashell background.

This limited color palette really helps unify the design while evoking the peaceful feeling of the ocean. The soft layering through the stencil combined with the detailed coloring on the stamped images brings dimension and interest without overwhelming the senses.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced card maker, I hope this inspires you to experiment with monochromatic schemes in your own beach-themed projects.

Happy crafting and may your creativity always feel as refreshing as a day at the beach!

Wishing You Sunny Days

Surf’s Up, Crafty Friends! Jill here and I am stoked to be here today and share this sweet little summer card, using the recently released Beach Fun set! This set is full of sweet images to celebrate summer and make all the cards and tags. So many of these images would be perfect for many occasions we make cards for–I always love versatility!

To create these fun surfboards, I first pulled out my scrap bin and cut a few strips of different colors. I adhered those to a sheet of paper and then stamped and embossed the surf boards on top. I didn’t measure the strips, but looking at them now, they are all pretty close to being the same, capturing the center lines of the board. Complete happenstance and I’m here for it! If you don’t like to wing things, like I do, you can easily measure strips to be all the same.

Of course, the boards needed to sit upright in the sand. The new Shoreline Borders dies were perfect for this. (And for many of the cards I made for this release ) I layered up three layers of sand dunes and blended some ink to the edges. I stood up each board vertically in the sand and added this sunny sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Summer set, which I white heat embossed on black cardstock.

The background of this card is created with the Scallops Pierced Plate and the Eyelet Rectangles die set. I decided to cut out the center part and adhere that down to a full Eyelet Rectangle die cut, keeping the texture solely in the main panel.

I think this card turned out swimmingly and I love the crisp simplicity of it. By changing the colors of your cardstocks, you can easily customize this for your recipient in a quick jiff! I am definitely going to be doing that for a few birthday cards!

Thanks for stopping by and riding the waves a bit with me today. Hang Ten!

Mouse Tea Party

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today. I’m back with this extra cute little scene showcasing a mix of previously released products: a lovely tea party for two mousy friends.

I started off with the background and cut a 4,5 x 3,25 inches panel out of kraft cardstock. I first added a fun dotted heart texture to this panel using the Pierced Hearts plate, and then I used the Layered Teacups stencil set, along with oxide inks, to create a teacup pattern. For the blue cups: tumbled glass + broken china, for the pink cups: saltwater taffy + worn lipstick, for the yellow cups: fossilized amber + spiced marmalade, and for the orange cups: spiced marmalade + ripe persimmon. I splattered water on my panel and dried it with a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters all over the panel to bring brightness, and then I did the same with vintage photo distress ink for a bit of contrast.

Next I cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of the same kraft cardstock as before, applied vintage photo distress ink to the edges to darken them a little bit, and then added white splatters and brown splatters to the scalloped edges of my panel. I also cut a large Eyelet Oval panel out of vellum, added the same splatters to it, and then set all my panels aside to dry.

I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches pink gingham panel, attached it to a white card base using liquid glue, and assembled a few things: I stuck my Eyelet Rectangle panel on the card base using 1mm foam tape, next the small Layered Teacups panel on top using liquid glue, and I kept the Eyelet Oval vellum panel aside for later.

I stamped my images on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the matching dies to cut them, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers.

As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Tea Time – teapot, teacups, plate, piece of cake, spoons • Friend Greetings – greenery • Mouse Friends – mice, strawberries • Valentine Train – steam.

I temporarily taped the Eyelet Oval vellum panel right in the middle of the card base using washi tape, and then I attached the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, making sure to put the squares only on the vellum panel. I started with the teapot and teacups, next the plate with the piece of cake, and then the mice. I removed the washi tape, flipped my vellum panel over, added liquid glue at the back of the panel, right behind the images, and finally attached the vellum panel to the card. At the top and bottom, I stuck strawberries and greenery using foam squares again, and added steam above the teacups.

I white heat embossed “You’re my cup of tea” from Tea Time on dark brown cardstock, trimmed my greeting into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and then attached the banner right below the mice using foam squares. And to finish my card, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

And that’s it! I hope that you like this cute and sweet Tea Time scene. Now, who wants to join the party? I think there is still some cake left! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time.

Quick & Easy Card with Stencils

Are you looking for a quick card design using stencils? Carly here and I think I can help!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I’ll tell you a secret…as a clean & simple cardmaker, I used to struggle with actually using my stencils. I loved them so much but I also loved white space and plain backgrounds. What was I do to?!

One solution was for me to make the stencil the primary star of the card instead of a background and this design is one of my favorites!

You need a little masking tape, your favorite inks to blend with, sentiment strips stamps and any of their gorgeous stencils (but don’t sleep on the Seashell Background for summer!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good Vibes Shaker

Happy Summer, Crafty Friends! Jill here to share a bit of summertastic fun today!

I’m excited to share a bucket that is definitely more than half full. I had so much fun making this card with the recently released Sand Bucket Shaker. The only problem I had was choosing which shaker bits I wanted to use.

I started by die cutting the Sand Bucket from cardstock and adhering the acetate for the shaker. I stamped the little star from the Beach Fun set, tone on tone, to jazz up the bucket a bit. This little shovel is the cutest! As mentioned,  the hardest part was selecting which shaker bits to use. In the end, I decided to go with both the Beach Town Mix and the Summer Fun Shaker Beads. After all, they go swimmingly together!

For the background of this card, I used the Wave Edges stencil. I decided to go ahead and use all the different waves. After I had completed blending all the waves, I used the reverse of the stencil and blended in the sand. I added a little bit of splatter for texture and then adhered my Sand Bucket Shaker down.

The Good Vibes Shadow die set is perfect for this card. I die cut each word a couple times and glued them together to give the words some thickness. Once they were set and dry, I blended on a very light layer of teal ink, just to the bottom of the words. I wanted to make sure they were mostly white, so they would visually pop from the colorful background pieces.

Voila–Card complete! It would also be fun to consider adding a few of the pieces from the Stitched Seashells set, but in the end, I decided I definitely liked the simpler look.

I don’t know about you, but I could definitely head straight to the beach with a sandbucket right now!

Thanks for spending a few minutes with me here today and Happy Summer Crafting to you! Enjoy the season!
