Hello friends! It’s Channin here and I’m so thrilled to be guesting here at Pretty Pink Posh! Today I have a video and a watercolored card to share! I used the adorableJungle Friends and Jungle Additions stamp sets to create a patterned panel and then colored the images in with my favorite coloring technique.

To create this card I first stamped several critters from theJungle Friends and Jungle Additions stamp sets as well as a sentiment from the Simple Sayings: Brave stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto an A2 panel of Bristol paper. After I stamped the critters and sentiment I then filled in most of the negative spaces by stamping leaves and flowers from the two sets. Next, I watercolored the images in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. When I had finished coloring the images I then added a shadow with a light gray pen. Next, I trimmed the panel down 1/16” on all sides and then adhered the panel down onto an A2 top-folding black card base.

Hello, Gemma here. Today I’m excited to share the first card in a new series here on the Pretty Pink Posh blog called “Create A Scene”. I’ll be sharing how to create different scenes using a mix of older and newer sets from Pretty Pink Posh. For my first scene card, I’m heading to the beach!
I began by stamping images from Summer Friends,Summer Surfboards andTropical Birds stamp sets. I coloured the images with copic markers, choosing a colour palette of pink, blue, orange and turquoise. Having a limited colour palette to work with really helps me when creating scenes as I know all the images will look great together.
Once all the images were die cut with the coordinating dies, I started working on my background.
On a slimline card base, I added some tumbled glass and speckled egg distress oxide inks to the top portion. I also stamped a sentiment from the Tropical Birds stamp set. The slimline card format gives me lots of room to build my scene.
For the sand, I blended antique linen and frayed burlap distress oxide inks onto white card. I flicked the panel with water and some of the frayed burlap ink to add lots of sandy looking texture. Once the panel was dry, I used a die from the Stacked Edges 1 die set to cut 6 borders, layering them on my card for the sand dunes.
I used a similar method to create the waves. I used distress oxide inks in blueprint sketch, peacock feathers and mermaid lagoon. I added lots of water droplets too. Using another die from the Stacked Edges 1 die set, I cut out 3 waves and adhered them to my card with liquid glue. I made sure to leave space to tuck in some images between the waves.
I added my images to the card, some flat on the card base with liquid glue, and others with foam tape for dimension. As a finishing touch, I added some white and black gel pen details.

Hello friends – Suzy here and I’m so happy to be guest blogging for Pretty Pink Posh today. I absolutely LOVED the June release and I went “monkey’s” over the Monkey Friends stamp set. I have a card to share with you today using this set as well as some of the foliage from the Jungle Additions and Jungle Friends stamp sets.
My favorite part of this card is the background. I used some Tonic Shimmer Powder in Catherine Wheel on watercolor paper to get that cool multicolored swirled look. I then used the Medium Polka Dot Stencil with some Texture Paste colored with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I just rubbed some over different parts of the stencil to give the background a messy textured look. I used a frame over the background using the Nature Essentials Dies(and they are essential as I will be using that frame on every card here forward!).
Next, I stamped the monkey and all of the foliage from the Monkey Friends stamp set and the Jungle Additions and Jungle Friends stamp sets. They all 3 work so well together to create cute jungle scenes! I used a light color of ink for a no-line coloring look with colored pencils. I die-cut all of the pieces out and arranged them inside the frame over the background. I added a greeting on one of the Stitched Label 1 Dies and tucked it under the baby monkey.

Today I’m in a magical place where the sun is shining and a family of hedgehogs are enjoying the day!
My scene starts with a background of rolling grassy hills made by die cutting shades of green card stock with the Stitched Borders 4 triple curve die and Stitched Borders 1 large curve die.
Now for the fun part .. adding the Hedgehog Friends, butterflies and foliage. I use a clear plastic sheet the size of my card front to arrange them before I adhere them in place.
Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather Hoffman here today to share this bright, happy, and tropical theme card with a fun stenciling technique, some simple Copic coloring, and of course, a bit of bling!
Here is a video showing how I created this card so you can see all the details.
I used two different colors of distress inks to blend my background – Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean – over the fun Jungle Background Stencil. I masked off the bottom with Purple Tape, and blended on watercolor paper before lightly misting with water to slightly blend the colors. If you watch the video, you will see that it is best to go easy on the water – too much will wipe out your design, but a little gives it a nice soft watercolor effect!
Next, I stamped the fun palm tree and flamingo from Tropical Birds stamp set and die cut with the coordinating dies. I did some simple coloring with Copic markers – using just two shades for each color for blending. I also used some simple warm gray Copics under the bird and palm tree to add some grounding to the images for a touch of realism. I then adhered them over the top with foam adhesive for a touch of dimension.
Finally, I added the sentiment at the bottom using both Tropical Birds and Simple Sentiments to create a custom sentiment, then finished off with a sprinkling of Luau Jewels Mix placed with my Crystal Katana and mounted on a coordinating blue card base.

Anemones come is several colors, white anemones are probably the most beautiful of all. While white seems a very easy color to work with, it’s actually the hardest one to color on paper, especially if everything else you have happening on your project is white. In this video I’ll show you how use can use a dark background to help these white flowers come to life with minimum effort and very quick coloring.

I have 2 cards and 2 similar, yet different techniques – first one featuring a one layer layer card with masking and another one, in case you are not into masking, featuring die cutting and layering.
One Layer Card – Coloring The Background with Copics
To create my first project, Sending Happy Mail, I stamped anemones around the edges of a 4 1⁄4 x 5 1⁄2” white cardstock panel. Next, I created masks for flowers, masked them and stamped leaves in between the open spaces. I removed masks and ended up having a beautiful floral frame for my card.
To color these, I used the following Copic Markers:
● G94, YG63 and G21 to color leaves;
● B99 and B21 to color flower centers;
● W1 and B000 to add hints of shadows where the petals overlap and meet.
Coloring white is very hard to do, this is something I am yet to master. Here you don’t have to be a pro at coloring white objects as we’ll add a blue background and our white images will come to life with very little effort and just minimal shading.
Once my coloring was done I used B99 marker and colored the entire background. Think of this as coloring the negative space. It does take time to apply all of the color, especially next to the stamped images as you need to go slow and be patient, but it really does look phenomenal in the end.
Once my background coloring was finished I left my panel to dry for about 10 minutes. Next, I white heat embossed a sentiment – Sending You Happy Mail from the Happy Mail stamp set.
I adhered my background on to an A2 white top folding card base; to dress this card up I used metallic gold confetti and sparkling clear jewels. I couldn’t decide which of those embellishments I wanted to use, so I used both by first adhering the confetti piece and topping it with a jewel of the same size.
Layered Card – Using Colored Cardstock
Not everyone wants to use their Copic markers to color background around the images as that takes a ton of ink and that is also time consuming. Another way to go about this is to add your die cut images onto a background made out of colored cardstock.
I stamped several images I wanted to use for my 2nd card and once again colored using same marker colors as before. Using the Anemones coordinating dies I cut these out in my die cutting machine. This gave me beautiful stamped, colored and die cuts pieces for my card. This also gave a white outline to each of my die cuts. Having a white outline can be very discarding for this project, so to eliminate it, I used a Copic marker once again and color matched white outline to my background color.
So here instead of coloring the entire background, I’m replacing the marker colored background with colored cardstock and only coloring the white die cut outlines on my stamped images.
This way your images and the background become one, they look as if they were done on the background directly and don’t have that white border that separates them from the base. This is not a trick that will work for every card design, or every image, but this is very fitting for these gorgeous white anemones.
Hello, friends! Leica here and today I am sharing a slimline card, featuring some adorable PPP lions from the Party Friends set and the new Jungle Friends set.
Let’s start with the panel, which is 3.5 x 8.5 inches. From top to bottom, I ink blended with Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon, Crushed Olive, and Peeled Paint distress oxides. I’ve been enjoying the paint splatters look lately, so I used white and gold acrylic paint for that. I then stitched around the card with linen thread.
Next, I stamped the lion, leaves, and vine from the new Jungle Friends Stamp Set and the lion, party hats, and cake from the Party Friends Stamp Set. I cut the koala behind the cake and replaced it with a lion image. It is just so fun and easy to mix and match Pretty Pink Posh stamps and dies, old and new.
I colored with Copic markers and cut with their coordinating die cuts.
I really love the new Simple Sentiments Stamp Set as it covers any occasion and fits perfectly onto one of the Simple Strips Dies. I chose 3 birthday-related sentiments for this card.
To assemble, I first glued down the vines and the leaves onto the panel. For dimension, I foam mounted the lions on top of the greenery. Lastly, I adhered the sentiments to complete this adorable lion birthday card.

All of the images are from theJungle Friends and Jungle Additions stamp sets. I colored them all with Copic markers, cut them out with the coordinating dies and added them to my background with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Simple Sayings: Brave stamp set and it was stamped with black ink.
So after I made this card, I wondered if it looked weird with the brave sentiment and a giraffe, because I wasn’t sure if giraffes were brave, and that maybe I should have used the lion instead? Well, after a bit of thought, I decided that this was indeed a very brave giraffe because there was a lion lurking right behind some of those leafy plants! ;)

To start, I cut a white card panel to 3.25 x 8.5 inches. I then used the Medium Polka Dot Stencil to create a background. I wanted to make a mixed media background, which is not my usual style. However, the new Simple Sayings: Brave stamp set inspired me to be brave and try something new. With a sponge, I used distress oxides in Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass, and Iced Spruce. For an effortless look, I intentionally did not line up the stencil perfectly and then splattered with black and gold acrylic paint.
I chose to feature the adorable hippo and the leaves from Jungle Additions stamp set for this card. The stitched square that I used to stamp the sentiment onto is from Storybook 5 Dies.
Dots and lines go together in design, so I added black strips using the new Simple Strips Dies. The strips are not long enough for a slimline, so I hid the edges behind the white square and other elements.
Next, I arranged the stamped images and adhered onto the card. Some are foam mounted for dimension. I wanted to create a scene to show a little hippo hiding behind the bushes, afraid to come out because of a powerful wind gust, blowing the leaves in different directions. I just love the sentiments from the Simple Sayings: Brave. They are great to use for encouragement cards.
For added texture, I stitched around the card with linen quilt thread. I realized that my panel was a quarter inch shorter than it’s supposed to be, so I adhered it onto a black cardstock before gluing it onto the card base.
