Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Celebration- Day 3

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE //  If you missed Day 2 CLICK HERE

Hello and welcome to the last day of the birthday celebration!

Before I start with today’s post, I just have to say a truly heartfelt thank you to every single person who has ordered during this release, left comments on the blog hop/ social media and been supportive during the last four years of Pretty Pink Posh. As many of you know, I’m a one woman business, so I’m working as quickly as I can to get all of your orders sent off. Please be patient as the order volume is far greater than it usually is so I’m struggling to keep up but I’ll be working through the weekend to try to get caught up!

This is Yana and today I am sharing video tutorial showing how to color petunias from the Pretty Petunias stamp set for a no-line look!

Since violet is the color of this year and because I happen to love this color quite a bit I decided to color my petunias violet. I started working on my card by stamping images I wanted to use in watermark ink onto light gray cardstock panel. I knew I wanted to use the large flower duo and also add additional flowers and leaves to make this cluster a bit fuller. I am very lazy when it comes to masking, I was planning to use masking for today’s stamping, but later ended up not making them and I simply stamped my images in watermark ink overlapping previously stamped layers.

Watch my video tutorial below to learn how I made this card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I picked embossing watermark ink, but any pale ink color will do for this technique – just make sure to pick the color of ink you’ll be able to color over with the pencils you plan to use – and you can always test this on the back side of your paper. Use it as your palette, I always do so.

As I was stamping I made notes in my head which flowers and leaves were going to be in the front and which would be in the back. If you struggle with this – you can either mask your images so that you don’t have confusing stamped lines on your panel or test stamp your cluster onto a piece of scrap paper and label everything – then when you go to color your image you can use that as a cheat sheet.

The pretty Petunias stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh has very little detail to it and this is a good thing, because as you color, regardless of what coloring method you chose, you can add those details in yourself.

I used Polychromos colored pencils to color this images and I went with just a handful of pencils. I sharpened my pencils prior to starting an first used the blue violet color and outlined the base of the petal, added vines and slight details on the tip of the petal.

It is very helpful to look up the image you are coloring online. I simply go to Pinterest and type in Petunias. I look at photos, sometimes I search for illustrations, I can also add the name of the coloring medium I plan to use to look up examples. For instance petunias watercolor, or petunias pencils – it is very helpful to see how others have colored it – this will give you color combo ideas, detail ideas.

I added my pencil strokes going in one direction – I followed the imaginary vines of the petal. I don’t color in circles or horizontal and vertical lines. To blend out the violet color and color the rest of the petal I used a white pencil. I went over the violet coloring and extended it further into the petal. Next, I came in with the violet pencil again and added more details to the particular element.

I don’t use any blending solutions when I color, I only blend the using my pencils and as I get to the end of the blending I use a very heavy hand.

Once my coloring was complete I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″. To create a sentiment I white heat embossed Hello Gorgeous from the Love Sentiment stamp set onto vellum. I trimmed it into a skinny strip, wrapped one end around the panel and cut the other end at and angle. I foam mounted the panel onto an A2 card base and added sequins from the Spring Blooms Mix to embellish this card.

Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Celebration- Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh 2nd birthday celebration! If you missed Day 1, click here.

Have you seen the new Love Shaker die?  I think this die is so versatile.  It’s more than a shaker die – it’s a gorgeous frame too! I can envision lots of pretties (sparkling sequins) peeking through the open frame design – but I can see this pretty die layered over photographs on a layout too.

I created an ombre background with the scalloped border from the Stacked Edges 1 die set.  I wanted to repeat the scallops on the Love Shaker die. I love the colorful stripes of red and pink card stock peeking through!

To accent the heart I added Cupid Friends that were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers. I’m smitten with these little guys! They’re easy to color, and the coordinating die cut makes them a breeze to cut too!

I love the stitching, scallop outline, and gorgeous hand written font on the Love Shaker die – the perfect details I expect from Pretty Pink Posh! Paulina never disappoints!

Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Celebration- Day 1

Hello, everyone ! Marge here today with you. I’m so pleased to share my two cards using the New Release Products from Pretty Pink Posh. All the new release products are amazing as always, and I’m featuring Birthday Friends Stamp Set and Coordinating dies today.

To begin, I stamped images from Birthday Friends Stamp Set and colored them using copic markers, then die cut them using Coordinating dies.

Then I cut a piece of A2 sized bristol paper, blended it using distress oxide inks (Picked RaspberryWorn LipstickFossilized AmberCracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers), then splattered water onto it.

Then I die cut it using Storybook 6 Die, which is also one of a new release products, to make four shaker windows. I used the negative cut pieces as background panel for each shaker. I put mixture of Spring Blooms Sequins MixDaffodil Seed Beads, and Lilac Seed Beads into each rectangles .

Then I adhered Birthday Friends Images on the front using foam tapes. I also put a small star tag on the left upper corner of the card using Stitched Stars Dies to give it more cuteness .

Final touch was adding some Sparkling Clear Snowflakes Sequins Mix with 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins onto them.

Here goes my second card. To make it, I used Scallop Borders 2 Dies and some fun pattern papers to make festive look.

For the background color, I blended it using Distress oxide ink (Fossilized Amber).

I also stamped heart images from Love Sentiments Stamp Set, sentiment from Birthday Friends Stamp Set. Then I finished it off by putting Party Time Sequins Mix and Northwest Sequins Mix from the new release.

Now I finished two birthday cards.

I’m also sharing some tips below :
1) For brown hair colors , my favorite copic color combination is : E13-E15-E18- any dark E (from light to dark shades)
2) When you put sequins to make shaker cards, try to mix the sequins with some seed beads like I did today. That will make your shakers look prettier.
3) Although this is not the Christmas season, I found that our snowflake sequins look so well on the soft color-distressed background.
No party would be complete without guests, gifts and a party favor, right? During the celebration, save 10% off your order using the coupon code provided below.

For the celebration, I brought along some very special guests to celebrate with me and I cannot wait for you to see what they made. Be sure to leave them lots of love- I’ll be giving away prizes to some comments left on their blogs!

Sneak Peek: Free Gift(s) In January!

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather here this morning with a look at the newest free-with-purchase stamp set at Pretty Pink Posh called Butterfly Friends – as well as a couple of the dies and sequin mixes that are part of the new release! This new stamp set and coordinating dies will be free with a qualifying purchases in January 2018, while supplies last! I’m showing one card layout two ways – a shaker card, and what I call a “faux shaker”!

The Butterfly Friends stamp set is kind of fun and unique because a couple of the butterflies have a solid image that can be stamped with colored ink to “color” the butterfly without markers or pencils – although you can also do that if you prefer. The others are perfect for coloring and shading. I used all the butterflies in the set for my cards – it’s fun how well they work together too!

I also adhered the butterflies for lots of dimension. I folded up the wings, then applied adhesive just to the centers. That way the butterflies pop up in such a realistic way – so fun!

For both cards, I also used the new Storybook 6 dies – for the first one I die cut it then trimmed the edges down to form a shaker. I did a bit of watercoloring with distress inks to create a background, and filled my shaker with the new Spring Blooms Mix. I stamped the solid butterflies with Distress Oxide ink in Seedless Preserves, then used coordinating Copics to color the remaining butterflies. I die cut just the word “hello” from the new Hello Friend Script die (love that those two words work together or on their own!).

My second card, I again used the Storybook 6 die, only this time I cut it out of a panel of white cardstock that I had inked with distress in, then again from white cardstock – fitting in the white pieces with foam adhesive to pop them up a bit. Then, to create the “faux” shaker on this card, I smeared a good bit of Ranger Multi-matte Medium on the bottoms of each panel, sprinkled on some of the new Party Time Mix (pressing it down to adhere it well), then shook off the excess. Once that dried, I adhered the die cut “hello” and the butterflies – this time the solid ones were stamped with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink and the rest again colored with coordinating Copics.

Don’t all these butterflies have you longing for spring? I know they are making me look forward to it soon!

The free Butterfly Friends stamp set will be automatically sent with orders over $60 once the new release goes live. In addition, if your order totals over $75, you’ll get the coordinating dies too! This stamp set will be available for purchase in May 2018, but for those who qualify, you’ll get these items four months before anyone else!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Sneak Peek: January Die Cuts

Well hello friend!  It’s a great day because there’s more new to share from the upcoming Pretty Pink Posh January 10th release! Today I’m playing with the new Pretty Petunias stamp set and Hello Friend Script die.

I started by stamping the Pretty Petunias in Memento Ink and coloring them with Copic Markers.  The coordinating die set makes cutting them out a breeze!

I experiment with different arrangements using a piece of clear plastic the size of a card base.  I can arrange the flowers without committing and adhering them to the card base.  Because the sheet is clear I can also place my floral arrangement over different colored backgrounds seeing what the completed project will look like.

This card has a simple distress background of Milled Lavender.  I splashed the inked background with water, and then again with watered down Seedless Preserves.  Lastly I gave it a splash of white ink.

If you look close you’ll see some of the flowers and leaves are adhered to the card base while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.  I topped the flowers with the Hello Friend Script die cut from gold foil, and gold glitter paper adhered together.

Do you love the Pretty Pink Posh Storybook dies? If you said yes, then you’re going to love the new Storybook 6 die!

Storybook dies are a fun and easy way to set the scene for your stamped images.  You can insert figures into the die cut windows to tell a story, or use the die cut lines to define spaces like I did .

I stamped images from Birthday Friends with Memento Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. The coordinating die cuts make these easy to cut and create with. I left each of the die cut boxes white so they didn’t have to compete with the bright colors of the stamped images.

The Birthday Friends stamp set has several different characters complete with lots of accessories!!! Like what? Well… A birthday cake, cupcake, presents and balloons so there’s lots of ways to arrange these!

We hope you’ve enjoyed the sneak peeks these last few days. Be sure to visit the blog tomorrow as we reveal the free stamp set that will be included with qualifying orders this month, while supplies last. It’s a fun set that we know you’re going to love!

Sneak Peek: Birthday Scene

Hi there! Lexa here today with a sneak peek for the new release, I promise you that it will be an awesome one! This brand new stamp called Birthday Scene is adorable beyond words. Let’s get started…

First I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versafine black ink then watercolor them using Distress Markers. I turned a bear into panda, it’s just a matter of how you color it. To frame the little scene I use Scallop Frames Dies on yellow cardstock. For this Birthday Scene, I want it to be colorful and festive so I add some Metallic Gold Confetti. This is just such a happy card!

I bet you all can’t wait any longer to see full reveal of the new release, just believe me that you will LOVE them! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Join us tomorrow for another round of sneak peeks.
