DeNami Color Challenge #5

**Sorry for the delay- for some reason Blogger didn’t post this at the scheduled time!**
Happy Friday to you!
It’s time for a brand new color challenge on the DeNami blog! The other day I was trying to think of what my favorite challenges are, and I think I would have to say they are color ones. There are some super unique color combos, then there are some ones that you would actually use on a card. *wink* Today we have one of those for you……
I’m still on a kick of using the Cornstalks, if you couldn’t tell. There’s something about this image that I really love. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I rarely see cornstalks here in Washington. Or maybe it’s because I love coloring them. Yes, I do believe it’s the latter. ;)
I used the Harlequin Border to create my background, then the Autumn stamp set for the panel behind the corn. All of these stamps are so versatile- that’s probably why I keep coming back to them!  To finish off the card, I added just a few Espresso Boutique Buttons to the corners. LOVE the colors in this pack so much!
Be sure to visit the DeNami blog for all the details, along with links to the other DT blogs- they made some super pretty things!  As usual, there are 10 days to join in on the fun. We can’t wait to see what YOU create!

DeNami + OTWC challenge

Happy Thursday to you!
Today I’m excited to be bringing you this fall card, which was inspired by the brand new OTWC challenge #32. Kim does such a lovely job with her challenge site, each week bringing new sponsors and fun prizes. This week, we (DeNami Design) are the sponsors. A few of my fellow DeNami DT girls were excited that Kim invited us to play along; who could pass up these yummy colors?

As you know, I can’t get enough of the Large Winter Tree. It’s so versatile and fun to use! Here in Washington almost all of the trees are bare now, so I thought it’d be fun to reflect that on  this card. Then, since Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away, I *had* to add the cute pumpkins from the Autumn stamp set.
Be sure to stop by these fellow DeNami DT blogs:
Hope you’ll get to play along in the challenge! Can’t wait to see what you create. :)
Paper: White, Simply Chartreuse, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Versamark, Simply Chartreuse (PTI)
Other: Quickie Glue Pen, Desert Orange glitter, Orange Zest grosgrain, brown pen

OTWC Challenge #31

Hi there!
I’m so excited that I was able to find time to do this week’s OTWC Challenge #31. The lovely and talented Kim does such a great job with her challenges. I always love seeing her inspiration boards- they are so pretty!
This week, the colors were orange, black and white. I thought it was pretty obvious that Halloween stamps were needed for this card, and I knew the perfect one! I think the Small Jack O’Lantern is so darling; he looks so happy! I recently picked up a Martha Stewart scoring board, so I added a little touch of scoring on this card. Since I don’t have any stamps that say Happy Halloween, I decided to just write my own. (Don’t look too closely!)
That’s it for me tonight. I hope that you’ll be able to join in on this fun challenge. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love!
Paper: White, Black, Orange Zest (PTI)

DeNami Christmas Challenge

It’s time for a brand new DeNami Design challenge. This time it’s a theme, can you guess what it is? Yes, it’s time to create something for Christmas. The possibilities are endless….you can create a tag, wrapping paper, card, scrapbook page…. just be sure you use at least ONE DeNami stamp.
Since I usually create cards, I thought it’d be fun to do a little project. I pulled out the Small Gift Bag templates and went to town. I started by stamping the Mini Star all over the top portion of the template, then I stamped the Christmas Tweety Birds. I just think these little guys are the cutest thing- I couldn’t stop stamping. (Hence the THREE bags)
For the gift tags, I stamped the Merry Christmas Circle then added the Christmas Tweety Bird. To add a bit of variation, I changed the ribbon colors and the colored cardstocks.
You can fill these bags with lots of different things- cookies, candy, gift cards, chapstick, etc… these are great for party favors, or even mini gifts for co-workers or relatives! Remember, you can stamp whatever designs you want on the bag, so these are also great for birthdays and baby showers!
Lastly, here is a closer view of the bags. I was originally going to stick with traditional Christmas colors, but I just had to throw in some light blue. It adds just a tad bit of extra color. :)
I hope that you’ll be able to join us for this challenge. Also, just a reminder, we are taking sign-ups for the DeNami Christmas Blog Hop, so if you are able to do this challenge, you’ll be able to do the blog hop! Click here for the details.
Hope you stuck with me through the whole post- I know there were more pictures than usual. Thanks for stopping by, you know I always love it when my blog friends stop by! *hugs*

Color Cue Challenge #9

Hi there!
It seems like it’s been ages since I played along in a Color Cue Challenge on Dawn’s blog. Each and every time I mean to play along, then I get busy or my projects are too horrible to post. However, for this amazing Color Cue Challenge #9, I just HAD to make something. Pink, white and gray was just to good to pass up!
For the card I pulled out my neglected Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions set. I used this set so much when I first got it, but then other sets have come along and sadly, it was put aside. However, it’s back again and I loved using it; just as much as when I got it! Oh, did I mention that I got this pretty satin ribbon at my dollar store? Love finding these kinds of things!
Well, I need to be heading to bed. Tomorrow I have lots of errands to run and need to wake up early. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love!

OTWC Challenge #28

Good morning!
Oh goodness, wasn’t the DeNami Autumn Blog Hop yesterday lots of fun? I was so inspired by the beautiful Autumn and Thanksgiving cards- I wish we could do a blog hop everyday! :) If you haven’t checked out the hop, be sure to do so. You’ll love all the different cards + you could win a gift certificate if you leave a comment!
Yesterday, after looking at the blog hop cards, I felt so inspired to stamp. I made five cards, which is pretty good for a Sunday afternoon! My sweet friend, Michele, recently sent me the Kisses & Cuddles set as a surprise. Oh my word, this girl is such a sweetheart. I have the great pleasure of working with her on the DeNami DT and am amazed at her talent and her big heart.
Now onto the card….. as soon as I saw Kim’s OTWC Challenge #28, I knew I had to make time to play along. Since it had been way too long since I used my WPlus9 stamps, I just had to pull them out for this card. I used the Design Basics: Backgrounds I on the card base, then my beloved new Kisses & Cuddles set for the focal point and sentiment. I seriously LOVE this font…wish I had lots of sentiments with it.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you were inspired. Have a fabulous Monday!

Embellish Felt Color Challenge

Friday Greetings!
Today I have a card for the new Embellish Felt Color Challenge!  Oh goodness, this one was a toughy for me. I had a hard time with the colors and I had no idea how to incorporate felt. However, I finally came to one that was somewhat decent. :) I created a felt scallop border, and also die cut a felt butterfly. It’s a tad bit hard to see in the picture, but it really does have a lot of texture.
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? As I wrote in my last post, today I’m baby sitting all day. I just love the kiddos that I’m watching- seriously if it was at all possible to have blue eyed, blonde children, I’d want them to look like these kids. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, sweet friends! Have a great rest of your weekend.

Elegant Christmas Candle

Hello there!

It’s time for the next DeNami challenge! This one is a super fun one….we get to use RIBBON! Before I get to my card, I must say, you HAVE to check out the fabulous posts by my fellow DeNami design team members- they are all fabulous! Lots of colors and unique techniques- you will be amazed!!

For today’s card, I pulled out one of the “older” DeNami stamps: Christmas Candle. I forgot how beautiful this stamp is! It was so fun to use some of the pretty Red Rhinestones as holly berries, along with adding them to my pleated ribbon. (Video tutorial below)

I hope that you’ll be able to join in on this fun challenge. DeNami stamps are not required for this one, but if you have them, we sure would love for you to use them!!
Have a great Tuesday! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog (and leaving some love!!)

OTWC Challenge #26

Happy Monday!
Today I have a bright & cherry card to share! In my effort to try and keep my blog exciting, I’m going to plan on participating in more challenges. While browsing blogs, I was taken aback by the awesome colors in the OTWC Color Challenge #26. How happy are these colors together?!
For this card I brought out some more of my Waltzingmouse stamps; Bountiful Basket Additions, Very Vintage Labels No. 5 and Musical Backgrounds. To bring lots of sparkle to the card, I used Aquamarine Rhinestones in addition to Citrone and Magenta glitters
For quite some time, I’ve had requests on how I create my bows. I FINALLY got around to posting a video for you all! I’m so sorry it’s taken so long……
Wasn’t that a piece of cake? Like I said in the video, it does take a bit of practice. I’ve been doing bows since before I can remember- literally thousands of them. Keep at it- it’s so worth it in the end!
I hope you enjoyed all of this post today! If you get a chance, be sure to join in the Off the Wall color challenge and let Kim know I sent you. ;) She’s a sweetheart and I know she loves having lots of people join in on the fun!
Have a great rest of your day!

Hi there!

Boy, oh boy, do I have lots of goodies to show you in the next few weeks! Today I made a TON of fun cards and projects that I cannot wait to show you! However, some are DT projects so they’ll have to wait to be shared. How’s that for a tease? ;)

I’ve admired the Waltzingmouse sketches for quite sometime, but didn’t feel like I should play until I actually owned some of their stamps. I recently purchased 4 sets, so now I can join in without feeling guilty! I simply adore their stamps that match the Spellbinder dies; can’t believe I waited this long to buy them!

I hope your weekend has been going well. Gonna do some blog hopping tonight- I miss seeing everyone’s creations and leaving some love! (We all love receiving blog comments!)
