Colour Q Challenge #68

Thursday greetings to you!
I’m so happy that I was able to create something for the new Colour Q Challenge! These colors are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G together! As soon as I saw the combo, I had all these ideas running through this crazy brain…..

My card today features the awesome designs by Wilson Designs. Kim recently had a new release, and I HAD to buy the set the day it came out. It is so unique and absolutely darling! I paired up the new set with an “older” one, Everything’s Owlright. Be sure to check out her cute little store!
Here you can see the designs a little better. Aren’t they precious? I love that little dog! Of course, knowing me, I had to add a little bling in there. :)
Hope you all have a fabulous day! Off to start my work day…..

Color Cue Challenge #11

Hi there!
I’m so excited….Dawn has resumed the Color Cue Challenges on her blog! I LOVE her color challenges, they are always such yummy combos! In addition to play with some fun colors, it reminds me to bring out her great stamps as well. :)
Today’s card is for the Color Cue Challenge #11. With these pretty pastel colors, I knew that I had to go with a baby-themed card. What better set than the Kisses & Cuddles! (Thank you again, Michele, for such a great gift!)
As you can see, I pulled out my newly purchased doilies again. It just seemed to go perfectly with this card! For the pink background, I stamped the Design Basics: Backgrounds I set- love this versatile set.
That’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Q Challenge #67

Hey there-
I have another card to share with you today! I know, I’m surprised too!  :) While doing my normal blog browsing, I saw that the Colour Q Challenge #67 was posted. I am getting so addicted to these things- this makes three in a row!
The colors on this challenge are SO fun and happy; how could you not smile when you look at them? I decided these colors would be perfect for a birthday card….
I recently purchased my very first set of paper doilies. I resisted for months and months, but after seeing so many beautiful creations with them, I finally caved. Thank goodness they aren’t expensive! :)  I wanted to create a happy-go-lucky type of card, so I combined a few different sets: two from PTI and one from WPlus9 Design Studio. (Love my girl, Dawn!)
Before I close, just a quick reminder that my $40 gift certificate giveaway is ending on Saturday!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great rest of your night!

Lawnscaping Challenge #1

Hi there!
It’s been a while since I did any challenges- with the holidays and then having no mojo, it just hasn’t been high on my priority list. Yesterday I got a teeny bit of creativity, so I thought I’d take on the first Lawnscaping Challenge. The theme: All About Snow.
My blog friend, and fellow Twitter addict, Laurel, has started this new blog. It’s such a neat idea, and there are so many great peeps on the DT. It’s going to be so fun to keep up with this blog!
Here’s my card (using Critters in the Snow)…

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I love this color combo. Makes me swoon….
I pulled out more sorely neglected Spellbinder Labels 5 die for the focal point. Have I mentioned that I’m obsessed with faux stitches lately? Yup, got it bad. :)
Thanks for checking out my card. If you missed the news earlier, I have a super fun giveaway going on- hope you’ll check it out and pass along the news!
Until next time….

Colour Q Challenge #65

Hi there!
Thank you to everyone who commented on my blog post yesterday. It was so great to see your excitement about the new DeNami Design release. I have LOTS and LOTS more cards to share with you in the future, so be sure to keep checking back. :)
Yesterday my friend, Laurie, participated in her First Colour Q challenge. I was so taken by these colors that I had to join in on the challenge. This color palette is so sophisticated and chic- I instantly thought of the Solid Decorative Crest. How stunning is it stamped in black on the Charcoal cardstock? LOVE it!
I recently purchased a Spellbinder tag set that I absolutely love. Granted, it’s not the one I was looking for, but I love it all the same! I stamped the Best Wishes then added these yummy charcoal colored rhinestones.
Here’s a closer peek at the details. Yup, I brought out my Prima flowers again- I’ve missed them so! Lately, while I was looking through my enormous stash of crafting supplies, I realized that I needed start using some of my current supplies. I have so much fun stuff- I just may have to do a giveaway (on the unused items) so you can enjoy some of the yumminess!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I will have a card tomorrow with more NEW DeNami stamps. It’s a happy, fun card; perfect for these dreary Winter days. :)

Color Cue Challenge #10

Hi there, blog friends!
I’m so glad that I was able to find to play in the Color Cue Challenge #10. This time around, Dawn had each of her DT members create a color scheme- I wish I could have played with each and every one of them! However, I only had time for one, so I decided to go with Maile’s colors.
I had the hardest time deciding which WPlus9 set to use, but I kept coming back to the Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions. I love these bold images! Since this stamp is so large, I didn’t need to add too much else, which was a huge time saver.
It had been a while since I used my Fiskars Upper Crest border punch; I forgot how much I love it! Seriously, I have over 12 border punches….however, I can’t imagine selling or giving any away! One of these days I’ll do a post with the ones I have. :)
Here’s a closer picture of the focal point. You know me and my rhinestones, so I added a few to this large design. Love that the colors matches so perfectly!
Thanks so much for spending some time with me!

DeNami Challenge: Punches

Hi there!
It’s time for another DeNami challenge- in fact, it’s the LAST one of the year! I have been looking forward to this particular challenge all year- it features one of my FAVORITE products: punches! My good friend, Ginny, got me started on border punches and it’s been downhill ever since.
I am a fan of all sorts of punches, however, border punches are my absolute favorite. (With my corner rounder punch coming in a close second!) I love the variety of punch designs plus it adds SO much to a card.
This card features border punches, corner rounder punch AND scallop circle punches. I am so excited that DeNami Design has started to carry some EK Success border punches- gotta love one stop shopping! Here are the punches I used:
corner rounder punch (not carried)
For this card, I wanted to create a fun, whimsical color combination. REALLY love these colors together- going to do this color combo again!
Well, enough chatter for this post. Be sure to head to the DeNami blog for the details of the challenge, plus some FABULOUS inspiration from the design team. Also, want to let you know there is a $25 gift certificate up for grabs, so be sure to join in on the fun this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Have a great rest of your weekend!

DeNami Sketch Challenge #5

Hi there!
It’s time for a new challenge over on the DeNami blog, and it’s a fun one at that! The ever-so-talented Ayana created a sketch that is super unique sketch. The hardest part of the challenge? Choosing what stamps to use! Thankfully my little brother came to the rescue and said to do a chickie card.
It’s been a little while since I pulled out the Princess Castle and coordinating stamps. Seriously, how adorable are those chicks? I know I’ve said it before, but they have so much personality! It’s so easy to understand why they have a big fan base! :)
Here you can see that I added some Citrone glitter to the windows of the castle and the chicks. Just a little bit really makes the card come to life. At the bottom of the sketch there are some criss cross lines. I was originally going to use twine, but I thought pearls might bring the card together a little better. I really like how it came together! The only thing I would change would be to line up the pearls a little better! *wink*
I hope you’ll play along with the sketch challenge. It’s the last sketch of the year, plus you aren’t required to use DeNami stamps. (However, if you have them, we’d love it if you did use them!) Hop on over to the DeNami blog to see what the design team made. Super yummy cards!
Have a great rest of you day. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

2 in 1

Good morning!
It’s not very often that I have the time, to play in challenges outside of my DT responsibilities. However, I’m all caught up on my projects and really wanted to make something for a challenge. Well, I found TWO that I waned to play with, so I combined them into one card. I followed the yummy colors of this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge #54, and then the Taylored Expressions Sketch #133.
I had a hard time choosing which stamps I wanted to use- there are so many! I finally decided on the Round Leafy Tree for my focal point (by DeNami Design), then stamped the Harlequin Border and Polka Dot Background for my “patterned papers”. On the sketch, there were some circles on the right side, so I decided to use some yummy Champagne Rhinestones. Once they were put against the coral paper, it looked like they were the same color!

I’m hoping this creative bug will stick around for a while so I can play in some more challenges! :) Thanks so much for visiting my blog, and leaving some love!
