Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I’m thrilled to be back on the blog with this super duper extra colorful and bright card showcasing the Christmas Light Garland die. When I first saw this die, I immediately visualized rainbow garlands, just like the ones my grandfather had on his Christmas tree. It was nice to have those sweet memories while working on this card.
I started with the background and cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel that I colored with oxide inks. First, I created a base using, clockwise, kitsch flamingo, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, salvaged patina and shaded lilac. Next I placed the Cascading Snowflakes stencil on top of my panel, and applied picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, fossilized amber, mowed lawn, peacock feathers and wilted violet for a tone on tone look. I splattered water all over my panel and dried it using a paper towel. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on my panel, and I did the same with fossilized amber distress spritz to add gold splatters on my piece of paper.
I set the panel aside to dry, and cut all my Christmas Light Garland pieces: four strings out of white cardstock and multiple light bulbs out of colored cardstock. And for the light caps, I found the perfect die from Big Dump Truck, I cut some of them out of gold glitter cardstock and some out of dark yellow cardstock. Next I assembled everything: I attached the light bulbs on the white garlands in a rainbow order using liquid glue, I added a cap on each bulb, and stuck each garland to my panel using 1mm foam squares.
I added liquid glue on each bulb and sprinkled fine glitter to make them all sparkle, and while the glue was drying, I worked on my greeting. I foiled my Hot Foil Happy Holidays sentiment in gold on white cardstock, and cut each word using Happy Holidays Shadow dies. And I wanted to add a subtle border to my words, so I cut two Happy Holidays Shadows out of vellum, glued those vellum pieces behind my gold foiled words, and finally attached my greeting in the middle of my panel using 2mm foam squares. I stuck my panel to a white card base, added highlights to the light bulbs and caps using a white gel pen, and finished my card with a scattering of Iridescent Mini Star Confetti all over my panel.
And that’s it! I hope that my card has inspired you to use non traditional and bold colors on your holiday cards. Thanks so much for stopping by, see you next time!
Hello friends! Leanne here and I’m thrilled to be a guest this month for the holiday release. I have always loved to create little paper wreaths to add to cards so I was excited to see the Holiday Wreath Builder die set. This set has all the basic components to make a wreath. The possibilities are endless! For the card I’m sharing today, I made a very full pine wreath.
I kept this card design on the simple side because the wreath really is the star here. I started with a white A6 card base. I created the background panel with the Cascading Snowflakes Stencil. I used a white opaque paste with the stencil. I moved the stencil around applying the paste only in select areas to get the random snowflake pattern. I then splattered the panel with thinned white paint.
To create the wreath, I used all three sizes of pine sprigs included in the Holiday Wreath Builder set. I adhered them onto the large wreath base. I added in the little red berries and a double layer bow. I then gave the wreath a good splattering of white paint to give it the snowy look.
To complete the wreath, I added sentiment strip ribbons coming down from the bow. I used the Upright Greetings Christmas set to stamp the Joyful Wishes. I then adhered the wreath to the background with thin foam tape. To finish off the design, I added several Sparkling Clear Sequins scattered all around the background.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you were inspired by this card!
TheOrnament Cover Plate cuts a stitched A2 panel, along with a selection of patterned ornaments. There is also a die in the set that cuts out the ornament toppers and other decorations.
I began by die-cutting the Ornament Cover Plate from four bright colours of card stock. As I decided to create a square card this time, I will keep the A2 backgrounds for other cards.
I added gold glitter toppers to my six ornaments, and adhered a couple of layers behind each ornament for dimension.
On an A2 card base, I adhered a piece of patterned paper. In the centre, I stamped a ‘merry & bright’ sentiment from the Winter Greetings stamp set. I then adhered the bright ornaments to the card to finish.
I hope you enjoyed this holiday card. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi friends, Debbie here! Today, I’m sharing a 5X7 traditional Christmas card with the new Holiday Wreath Builder Dies. Let me just say, this is an awesome die set! It is so big, and the way the dies have the three sizes of leaves together with the one die! Brilliant!
I started off die cutting out two times all of the dies from the new Stitched Snowflakes Dies. Arranging them evenly on the 5×7 card base, and attaching with liquid glue. I did add a little shimmer with Sparkle Silk and set to the side.
Next, I die cut out all the sizes of leaves from the Holiday Wreath Builder from three shades of green card stock four times each to make sure to have a full wreath. I did do some ink blending on one side to give some depth to the leaves. Also I add white splatter to all the leaves and berries for a snow effect. The branch die is cut from White glitter card stock.
Also wanting a red metallic bow I die cut out one from the Beautiful Bow Dies that was previously released. The bow was popped up with a foam square. The sentiment is from the new Large Joy Shadow Die, I did the Joy die not the shadow from a metallic gold card stock. Adhered with liquid glue to the center of the wreath and attach to the center of the Snowflake card base.

I wanted to use the Snowflake Shaker as a featured main element on a card and the Snowflakes Stamps are the perfect partner in black and white. Black & white with a splash of color is a classic look for any occasion and I especially love it for the Holidays!
I die cut the Holly Jolly Shadow die twice (once out of white cardstock and once out of black) and layered those together with a spray adhesive. Then I randomly stamped a white cardstock panel with all the different snowflakes in the Snowflakes stamp set with black ink. I recommend starting with the largest snowflakes and moving down to the smallest as you fill in the panel. I am a fan of the Snowflakes stamp set due to its plethora of stamps and array of snowflake sizes, making it easy to create your own background panel 1-2-3!
I die cut the Snowflake Shaker snowflake twice in a deep red cardstock. I stitched the top piece before gluing it to the second layer. By using two layers of cardstock and layering your design elements, it gives the in-person feel a little more heft. Wanting to create even more dimension, I added dimensional foam adhesive to the back of the snowflake to adhere it to the card base. I then added on the sentiment with liquid glue and voila–A holiday winter card ready to go!
This card could easily be mass produced by simply using one layer for the die cut elements and using your MISTI to create the snowflake panels. It would also be fun to mix up the colors of cardstock you use for the Snowflake Shaker die cut. The stitching details this die creates give this snowflake snow much added sweetness! 🙂

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a fun holiday card to share with you all.
I started my card by using the Christmas Lights Garland die set to make my strands of lights. This die set is so easy to use and I just love all of the fun color combinations you can create with it. There is one die for the string of lights and one die that cuts out five bulbs at once, so it’s really quick and easy. I made four strands of lights and attached them to a card panel I created with the Pierced Snowflakes Plate.
Next, I used the Fancy Cake dieto add a stitched frame around the panel. Lastly, I used the Holly Jolly Shadow die for my sentiment. I die cut the sentiment from red and white cardstock and added foam adhesive to the back before attaching it to my card panel to finish my card.

Hello crafty friends, Marine here! I’m so happy to be back on the blog with this duo of matching cards showcasing several die sets from the brand new release: Winter Hat Shaker, Snowflake Shaker and Stitched Snowflakes which is featured on both cards.
New release will be available October 16th
For the Winter Hat Shaker card, I started off by cutting a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of kraft cardstock to create my background using the Layered Winter Hats stencils. I’ve mentioned it already in previous posts, but when I stencil on kraft cardstock, I like to create a white base first in order to make the colors I add after pop even more, so I created this white base using the Layered Winter Hats stencil A and stencil B along with white pigment ink. Next I used those two stencils again, one after the other, but shifted them a little bit to the right, and applied broken china, uncharted mariner and pumice stone oxide inks to create my blue winter hats background. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used a small brush to add splatters all over my panel, and I did the same with uncharted mariner distress spritz and then with brushed pewter distress mica spray.
I set my panel aside to dry, and worked on the Stitched Snowflakes. I cut all the bits and pieces out of two different shades of blue cardstock, vellum and white cardstock. The smallest snowflakes and the tiny center pieces are from Big Christmas Cupcake, I layered and assembled my snowflakes using liquid glue, and added decorations to each of them: a polymer clay snowflake from Candy Cane Lane on the center of each Stitched Snowflake, as well as Blue Sky pearls and Pacific Blue pearls on the branches. I set my snowflakes aside, and started to work on the Winter Hat Shaker.
I cut a Winter Hat Shaker panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the main die, and cut the inside of the pompom using another die from the set. I colored the middle part of the hat using tumbled glass, broken china and uncharted mariner oxide inks, and used the Deco Leaves stencil along with uncharted mariner oxide ink again to add a knitted pattern to my hat. I cut the pompom part out of acetate, and attached it at the back of my hat using liquid glue. I added foam strips directly on the acetate, all along the curved edges of the pompom, and on the rest of the hat as well, I poured some Snow Days Beads inside the pompom, and cut a whole white Winter Hat Shaker panel that I stuck to the foam strips to totally close my shaker.
Next I flipped my Winter Hat Shaker over to add more details to the front. I cut another whole panel out of bristol cardstock, fussy cut the pompom, die cut the inside off, and colored it using pumice stone oxide ink. I also trimmed the bottom part of the hat, colored it using uncharted mariner, broken china, tumbled glass and pumice stone oxide inks in a fun stripe design, and attached those two elements to my hat using 1mm foam squares.
I stuck my Layered Winter Hats panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light gray gingham panel, and then to a card base, using liquid glue, and I finally attached all the pieces, Winter Hat Shaker and Stitched Snowflakes, to my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.
For my greeting, I started off by cutting a Winter Script out of silver glitter cardstock. I also white heat embossed “warmest” and “wishes” from Sentiment Strips: Christmas on dark gray cardstock, trimmed both words into slim banners using a Sentiment Strips die, and then attached those three elements on the lower part of my card.
For the Snowflake Shaker, I repeated the same process as before, and started off by cutting a large kraft Eyelet Rectangle that I inked up using the Cascading Snowflakes stencil. I first created a white base using white pigment ink, next I shifted the stencil a little bit to the right, applied broken china oxide ink all over the stencil, and then added some touches of uncharted mariner here and there to darken the snowflakes. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and used my small brush to add splatters to my panel, and then I did the same with uncharted mariner distress spritz and with brushed pewter distress mica spray.
Next I cut multiple Stitched Snowflakes out of the same blue cardstock, white cardstock and vellum as before, and assembled them using liquid glue. The smallest snowflake and the center pieces are from Big Christmas Cupcake. I decorated them all using Candy Cane Lane snowflakes, Blue Sky pearls and Pacific Blue pearls, and moved on to the Snowflake Shaker.
I started off by cutting the front panel out of blue cardstock, and cut the center off to create a window inside my snowflake. Next I cut a whole snowflake out of acetate, trimmed the branches to keep the starry center piece only, and stuck that acetate center piece at the back of my front panel using liquid glue. I added foam strips on the acetate, all along the starry shape edges and on the branches as well, poured some Snow Days beads on the acetate, and cut another whole snowflake out of white cardstock that I attached to the foam strips to close my Snowflake Shaker.
I attached my Cascading Snowflakes panel on a light gray gingham panel, and then to a card base. I stuck the Snowflake Shaker to my card using liquid glue, and attached all the Stitched Snowflakes around it using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I cut a Merry Script out of silver glitter cardstock, attached it in the center of the Snowflake Shaker using liquid glue, white heat embossed “Christmas” from Sentiment Strips: Christmas, trimmed it into a slim banner using a Sentiment Strips die, and stuck it below “Merry” using 1mm foam squares.
And that’s it! These were so fun to make, and I hope you like them. Thanks so much for stopping by, see you next time!
Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am so excited to be sharing a sneak peek at two of the new stencils that will be released! The first stencil I am sharing today is called Layered Winter Hats Stencils and I was inspired by the Berry Bright Shaker Beads colors. I started with a pink cardstock and used Distress Oxides in Festive Berries for the (A) stencil and a mix of Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the (B) stencil.
New release will be available October 16th
I also splattered white ink all over the background to give it a snow-like look and to bring in the white from the bead colors. Then I trimmed the background down to 4-⅛ x 5-⅜” (just slightly smaller than A2) and attached it to a cards base. I cut the Winter Hat Shaker Dies and Large Joy Shadow Dies from dark pink, green and white cardstock to decorate the card. I added the Berry Bright Shaker Beads with acetate to make the Winter Hat a shaker! For some final touches, I added a few Strawberry Shimmer Mix confetti to the card.
Moving on to a less bright and party looking card to a classic and elegant snowflake card, I used the Cascading Snowflakes Stencil with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide on kraft cardstock. After splattering it with some opaque white watercolor, I trimmed the panel to 4×5-¼” and used it as the back of my shaker panel. I diagonally cut some white cardstock of the same size and added acetate for the front of the shaker and filled it with Snow Days Shaker Beads.
To decorate the front, I cut Stitched Snowflakes Dies out of silver cardstock as well as stamping snowflakes and my sentiment from the Snowflakes Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to match with my stenciling. I also added a few Pacific Blue Pearls for some extra shine.
I hope you enjoyed these cards with two of the new Stencils – you’re going to love all of them along with everything else from this release!
Hi folks, Kavya from @handmadebykavya here with another fun sneak peek of this month’s holiday release. This release is filled with a bunch of holiday essentials that are perfect for creating quick holiday cards. I have two such cards for you today.
New release will be available October 16th
My first card uses the new Snowflakes stamp and coordinating die set. I stamped a bunch of snowflakes using blue dye ink and colored them with pastel shades of blue and purple.
I ink blended blue cardstock with shades of blue and purple as well. Die cut a large shadow Joy and adhered all the snowflakes around the sentiment. I then finished the card with a bunch of paint splatters and a smaller heat embossed sentiments from the snowflakes stamp set.
My next card is inspired by vintage baubles and uses the new Winter Greetings and Holiday Ornaments stamp sets. I started off by ink blending the edge of the pattern paper with maroon dye ink.
Then, I colored a bunch of baubles using black, green and yellow ochre shades. I adhered the baubles on the red pattern paper with foam tape and used tiny strips of paper for the strings. Heat embossed a sentiment from Winter Greetings and I was done!
Hello, Gemma here today to share a look at two new stamp sets from the upcoming October release – Holiday Icons & Upright Greetings: Christmas.
New release will be available October 16th
For my first card, I stamped out images from the Holiday Icons stamp set and coloured them with copic markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies, then added a couple of die cut layers behind for dimension.
There are two different size circle dies in the set, which I used to create backgrounds for the icon images.
On my mini slimline card base, I adhered some patterned paper strips, cut with the Stitched Strips die set. I then added a sentiment from the Upright Greetings: Christmas stamp set, before adhering the four Holiday Icons to finish.
On my second card, I used the Holiday Icons stamp set to emboss a gold background on navy card. I spritz the panel with some sparkle spray and, once dry, adhered it to the side of an A2 notecard.
For my Upright Greetings: Christmas sentiment, I heat embossed in white on pink card, then die cut with the Stitched Strips die set.
I adhered the pink sentiment strip to the card, with two thinner gold glitter strips either side to finish.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek. Join us tomorrow for another day of sneak peeks!
