DIY Halloween Clouds Card

Pretty Pink Posh: DIY Halloween Clouds

Hello everyone, Joni here with another cute tutorial using the open cloud image from the Rainy Days stamp set. Really versatile and creative use for Halloween cards!

Pretty Pink Posh: DIY Halloween Clouds

To begin, I stamped the clouds multiple times onto white cardstock.

Pretty Pink Posh: DIY Halloween Clouds

Next, I drew some faces on the clouds using the pencil first, then I added the Micro Pen on the top of the pencil marks and erased the leftover.

Pretty Pink Posh: DIY Halloween Clouds

Then I distressed the black cardstock with white pigment ink to create that chalk finished. Next, I colored the clouds with Copic markers and die-cut it with Rainy Days coordinating die.

Pretty Pink Posh: DIY Halloween Clouds

I then adhered the clouds with foam tape. The die-cut “booyah!” were from the Papertrey Ink Headline Alphabet dies. I also added some Pewter sequins for added interest.

Here’s a closer look at the card. You can create so many fun designs, even for Thanksgiving or Christmas!

Cascading Butterflies

Pretty Pink Posh: Cascading Butterflies

Hello friends!! Amy here. Today, I want to share a watercolor card using the Blissful Butterflies Stamp Set. For my card, I used my favorite technique – white heat embossing and loose watercoloring. This set is perfect for this technique! I chose to use colors close to the nature to make a refreshing get well card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Cascading Butterflies

Here are more details:

  1. On a watercolor paper, stamp the butterflies from Blissful Butterflies Stamp Set with Versamark ink. Pour white embossing powder and heat set with heat gun
  2. Blend Twisted Citron, Scattered Straw, Pine Needle and Cracked Pistachio distress inks on the butterflies. Brush water and more inks on top with a paint brush. Add white watercolor splatters and Perfect Pearl mist. Die cut the panel with SSS Basic Stitched Rectangle Die
  3. Heat emboss the sentiment from Birdie Friends Stamp Set using SSS Antique Gold embossing powder. Fussy cut out with scissors
  4. Adhere everything on SSS Fog card base with foam tape and glue. Embellish with various PPP sequins – 4mm Clear Droplets, 6mm Clear Droplets, 6mm Metallic Rose Gold, 4mm Bermuda Blue, 4mm Sunshine Glow and 4mm Peridot Mist

Butterfly Backgrounds

Hello Pretty Pink Posh friends!! Shannon here today with a watercolor background card created from the lovely new Blissful Butterflies stamp set and the Zig Clean Color markers. (We have found that the best price in the States is Amazon- they even have the new 80 pack!)

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Backgrounds

I started off by stamping all the butterflies in the set onto watercolor paper covering the whole background.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Backgrounds

You can make the background as full, or sparce, as you want. Also, if you want a more subtle look, you could use a brown or light gray ink.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Backgrounds

I then started coloring all my butterflies individually with my Zig Real Brush markers. I splattered of of the the colors onto the background for more interest.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Backgrounds

This is the part where you can really have fun and use a particular color palette, or create a bright and colorful card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly BackgroundsI stamped the hello sentiment from the set, along with the friend sentiment from the Rainy Days Addition stamp set with black ink onto a piece of Lavender card stock.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly BackgroundsI then cut the scallop border on each side of my panel with Scallop Borders die before adhering onto a black card base. If you wanted to add a little extra sparkle, you could use the Wink of Stella brush or add some sequins to match your card.

That’s it for my card today! Thank you for stopping by!

10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

If you read the post title and have followed the Pretty Pink Posh blog for a while, I’m sure you are super excited. For this special challenge blog hop, I am bringing back the popular 10 Minute Craft Dash and honestly, I couldn’t be more excited. This challenge is where I challenged crafters to create something within a 10 minute time frame. I really wanted to encourage crafters that they didn’t need to set aside a whole day, or several hours, to create something.

The super sweet Nina-Marie has created a post, along with a coordinating video, for today’s post. Let’s check out what she made…

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

Nina-Marie here with you today sharing a fun project -and challenge- with you today! This post is in collaboration with Altenew’s Ultimate Craft challenge and here at Pretty Pink Posh, we are featuring a fun 10 Minute Craft Dash.

I’ll be using a combination of Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew products; the Floral Shadow stamp set and Thanks die (from Altenew), along with the Birdie Friends stamp set, Scallop Borders die set and 3mm Sparkling Clear and mix sequins (all from Pretty Pink Posh).

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns! In this challenge, you are required to make a card or project in 10 minutes or less! When I got the assignment topic for this post I knew this would be fun, but also REALLY challenging for me because I usually make cards that are pretty involved in the coloring process. I knew immediately that coloring of any length would be out of the question because it takes me MUCH longer than 10 minutes to color something in! Haha!

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

Another thing I do not do when I am making a card is actually PLAN; I like to create as I go along. I sometimes have a general idea with the direction of a card when I start out, but nothing real definitive. But for this, I knew I needed a solid plan to stick to because of the limited amount of time I had to work with. This layout for my card was super easy to put together, but at the same time, shows off the gorgeous floral pattern in the background perfectly!

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

Speaking of the background; I wanted to color SOMETHING in this card, but because of the 10 minute time frame, I knew it was going to have to be a fast technique. In this video, I’ll be sharing how I created this beautiful watercolor background in less than 4 minutes!

Be sure you check out the video below to see that, along with how I created the entire card in a total of 9 minutes and 42 seconds!

Tutorial: Butterfly Notecards

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather here to share a couple watercolor Butterfly cards that are not only super easy to make, but perfect for using up pattern paper scraps! I’m using some of the newly released stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh – it was such a fabulous one!

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Notecards
I started off by trimming my pattern paper edges. I use a lot of 6×6 paper pads, and when I trim them down to a normal A2 card size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2), I am left with a strip that is 1 3/4 x 6 inches. I used one of the scallop dies from the new Scallop Borders Dies to just barely cut off enough to form a border.
Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Notecards

Next, I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment and little butterfly with it’s trail from Blissful Butterflies Stamp Set. The little “friend” is from the Birdie Friends Stamp Set. My favorite watercolor ink is Versafine, and by using my MISTI I was able to stamp twice to get a nice crisp, dark image. I stamped the sentiment first on all 3 pieces of watercolor paper, then added the butterfly, and finally the tail. This allowed me to place the butterfly as if it landed on the “l” in “hello” – I love that effect!

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Notecards

Next, I used a waterbrush and some watercolors to add a simple watercolor wash, and once that dried a bit, a few splatters in the same colors. Then, once that dried again, I taped on my scallop strips, centering the scallops, and using a paper trimmer to remove the excess on the top and bottom.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Notecards

And finally – of course there HAD to be some sequins too, right? I love how versatile the Sparkling Clear Sequin Mix is – you can pretty much use them on anything, and you have every size you need! I use Glossy Accents with a fine tip applicator, and reverse action tweezers to adhere my sequins. I usually squirt a little Glossy Accents on a non-stick mat, pick up the sequins with my tweezers, dip them just a bit in the glue, then attach them to my card. Sometimes I dot the Glossy right where I want the sequins and then just set them in place.

Pretty Pink Posh: Butterfly Notecards

Here is a closer look at those little butterflies – seriously, aren’t they so cute sitting on the word “hello”?!?!?

Building A Mini Scene

Pretty Pink Posh: Building A Mini Scene

Wild greetings, crafters! Julia here and today I’m showing off the Fox Friends stamp set which has a few cute foxes and lots of sentiments and because it’s a small stamp set, it’s also much cheaper than regular sized ones. Let me show you how I combined it with other sets to create a mini-scene!

Pretty Pink Posh: Building A Mini Scene

A few of you have asked me to show more scene-building tutorials over on my blog, and this is one of them, even if it might not appear so immediately. I started out with just the fox, but then added some nature images from the Camping Friends set to give context to the fox. It’s not much, but the wood stump and greens help to create a scene in your mind which the fox alone wouldn’t have been able to.

Pretty Pink Posh: Building A Mini Scene

The sentiment is from the Darling Friends set and you can see that I accidentally stamped the two parts too far apart. The fix was easy – I just grabbed another image from that set and filled the space. There – everyone will think that was intentional and not a mistake :)

Last but not least I created a border with one of the new Scallop Border dies and added some glitter to the background because … glitter!Pretty Pink Posh: Building A Mini Scene

Peekaboo Animals

Happy Tuesday!

Today we have a card by PPP designer, Liz. I found Liz’s work on Instagram about a year ago and after stalking her blog and Instagram, I asked her to be on the team. I really do love seeing my customers work on social media and over the last year, I’ve asked several designers to join in blog hops and guest designer spots based on what they’ve shared using PPP. I want to encourage you all to continue to share what you create; you never know what could happen afterwards!

Pretty Pink Posh: Peekaboo AnimalsTo create this card, I first worked on the base of the card to create a background using one of my new favorites, the new Scallop Borders as I love the detailed stitching along with the three scallop designs to choose from. I’m loving this new Mini Storybook 1 die as there are several ways to use this die since it has dual stitching.  This means after die cutting, a stitched line remains around the block of the negative.

Here, I started with Grout Gray cardstock measuring 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and placed the larger scallop die about 3/4 of the way down to run through the die cutting machine. Next, I took some Pink Lemonade cardstock and ran the straight edge scallop through twice to add on top and bottom of the designer paper which measured 2 ” wide.

Pretty Pink Posh: Peekaboo Animals Before adding the background to the card base, I added some fun foam to give this card some dimension.

Again, I do love creating little scenes and adore using these little animals from the Camping Friends set as I think they are so cute. Here, I created some clouds by ink blending some Sea Glass ink along with using the Scallop border from the Stitched Border 2 collection.

Pretty Pink Posh: Peekaboo Animals

From there, I pulled out the large scallop from Stitched Borders 4 to use the negative cut as my template to add some grass by blending in some Jellybean ink. Next, I glued on some Silver Mini Star Confetti to the clouds before adding in these sparkling new sequins.

For the bottom portion with grass, I used some iridescent 4mm Peridot Mist, as I love how it sparkles. Than for the top two little squares, I couldn’t resist but to combine the new Iridescent Mini Circle Confetti  and new 3mm Sparkling clear sequins they look beautiful together.

Pretty Pink Posh: Peekaboo Animals

To finish off this card, I added all of the little animals and sunshine from the Camping Friends set and used the Camping Friends Coordinating dies to help me cut them out. Added some foam mount tape under each one to add a little more dimension.

Also, I used a sentiment from the Fox Friends set as I wanted an uplifting saying for a special friend who I think is the best, so I embossed it using white embossing powder against the black card stock.border

We hope you enjoyed today’s post. We have posts scheduled the next few days and we hope you’ll join us!

Happy Birthday Foxes

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing another tutorial on making a happy birthday card using these cute foxes from the recent release Fox Friends stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Birthday Foxes

To begin, I first distressed a white cardstock using Distress inks pads, then die-cut it with round die-cut from Mini Tags die set and the bows are from Twine & Bows die set. From these I will create some balloons for the foxes.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Birthday Foxes

Next, I distressed the white cardstock to create the background using Distress ink pads. The foxes were colored with Copic markers. I also adhered the bows on the balloons with plain glue.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Birthday Foxes

Next, I added some dots of Copics at the bottom of the foxes to create my ground. The trees from the background are from the Holiday Pals stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Birthday Foxes

Then, I adhered the balloons with foam tape. I also drew some pencil lines for the balloon strings I did not want the lines too dark so I left it like that. I also added some dots of Copics for the background as well. The sentiment is from the Fox Friends. I also added some Stickles on the balloons for shine. Finally, I finished it off with Sparkling Clear sequins for added interest on the card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Birthday Foxes

Here’s a closer look at the whole card. Take a look at the fun details!

Colorful Umbrellas

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful UmbrellasHello friends!!

Amy here today to share my first card as a Pretty Pink Posh designer. I am so happy to join sweet Paulina’s team! ☺

For my card today, I have used Rainy Days Stamp Set and Rainy Days Additions Stamp Set. These two sets coordinate perfectly! The umbrellas remind me of rain, which is very common in Seattle. However, rainy days don’t have to be bad days. Let’s brighten it up with rainbow umbrellas!

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful Umbrellas

Here is how I made my card:

  1. Stamp umbrellas from Rainy Days and Rainy Days Additions with distress inks. I have used (from top left) Fired Brick, Tea Dye, Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves and Peacock Feathers.
  2. Add shading and highlight to each umbrella with the same inks using a wet paint brush. Paint the background with teal blue watercolor paints. This creates a perfect rainy sky!
  3. Die cut the panel with Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die. Mount with craft foam on white card base
  4. White heat emboss the sentiment on black cardstock. Mount with foam tape
  5. Lastly, embellish with sequins. I have used 3mm Clear Sparkling, 4mm Clear Droplets, 6mm Sparkling Clear, 4mm Strawberry Burst, 4mm Blue Lagoon and 4mm Lavender Moon.

Sweet Foxes

Hello, Anna Kossakovskaya is here today with my second guest designer post, and todayI have another card created using Fox Friends set to share with you.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Foxes

I stamped all foxes from the set using gray inks for the next coloring – such light silhouettes make the card softer. For cutting, I used the Fox Friends coordinating dies. Then I made the background – I cut the front panel using the Scallop Borders, blended it with two Distress inks, sprinkled with the water to get some spots and glued to the card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Foxes

Then I cut three ovals using Stitched Tags Die – one for each of foxes – and stuck them to the panel with the foam tape to add the dimensions. Afterwards I placed the foxes on the ovals.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Foxes

The final details are the sentiment under the front panel and some sequins: 6mm Peacock Feathers6mm Sunshine Glow4MM Sparkling Clear and 4mm Clear Droplets (small).border

A big thank you to Anna for being a guest designer this month. She is so very talented and I love the chances we get to work together!Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Foxes
