Sneak Peek: Crafty Days + Crafty Sentiments
Hello, Gemma here today with a sneak peek of two new stamp sets from the May 16th release – Crafty Days and Crafty Sentiments.
For my first card, I stamped out a border four times from the Crafty Days stamp set. I coloured the images in a rainbow of copic markers, then die cut them with the Crafty Days coordinating die.
On a 5.25” card base, I stamped a greeting from the Crafty Sentiments stamp set. There are lots of great sentiments to choose from in the set.
I adhered the borders to my card base. To add some variation in dimension, I adhered a second die cut layer behind the 1st and 3rd borders. Once adhered to the card base, I trimmed away anything overhanging to finish.
Continuing the rainbow theme on my second card, I used the new Pinstripe stencil with distress oxide inks to add lots of colour to my A2 card base. The colours I chose were Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac and Kitsch Flamingo.
I stamped and coloured two images from the Crafty Days stamp set. The coordinating die set comes with both a square to cut the images out, along with a scalloped square for layering.
On my card, I stamped a greeting from the Crafty Sentiments stamp set. I recommend using Versafine Onyx Black ink as it stamps well over the distress oxide inks.
I then used foam tape to adhere the images over white glitter scalloped squares, before adhering to my card base to finish.
I hope you enjoyed these cards. Join us tomorrow for another day of sneak peeks!
