I’m so happy to say that I’m all caught up on new release orders- a giant thank you to everyone who ordered. I’m getting some retailer orders shipped out soon, so be on the lookout for PPP in the retailers that carry my products.
Today I wanted to share a full Halloween shaker card I created recently. I feel like a lot of Halloween cards are black, gray and orange, so I wanted to create something with a different color palette. I used the new Spooky Days Mix as my inspiration and created a card highlighting those colors.
I must say, one of my very favorite dies is the Storybook 1. It’s so versatile and you can create all sorts of scenes and shakers using it as a negative, or use the inner pieces for panels on your projects. It’s been a joy to see this die set all over blog land recently!
On this card, I started off by using the pumpkins from the So Thankful set. This is a mini set but I’ve used it on so many cards and absolutely love it. I paired it with the Halloween Kitty (another one I pull out every year), the bat from Trick or Trick set and the sentiment is from the Bootastic set.
In the craft session when I created this card, I also made several other Halloween cards. I’ll do my best to share them all before the end of the month!
Want to see more cards using the So Thankful (pumpkin) set? Here’s three of my favorites…
If you’re one of the people who purchased the Darling Friends stamp set that was designed exclusively for Simon Says Stamp, I wanted to share some cards that the design team created recently. This set was so fun to create and let’s just say that if you have it, you’ll be able to use it with some upcoming sets.
That’s going to wrap up this post. Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me today!
It’s mid September, the leaves are starting to fall and I think it’s about time I start sharing some Halloween and fall projects here on the blog. I don’t know why, but I love making Halloween cards. It might be the fact the colors are outside my “norm”, or maybe the fact that I have never gone trick-or-treating. Whatever the case may be, the Halloween stamps these days are so cute and fun to use.
One of my favorite fall sets is So Thankful by Lawn Fawn and it’s a mere $4.00, but I have used it so much the last year. You can create simple place cards, tags, one layer cards, or you can build it up and create full pumpkin patches. Such a fun and versatile set!
For this card, I wanted to showcase the Storybook 1 die and show how you can create a little scene, but also include a sentiment. The beauty of this die is you can use it with ANY brand of stamps. I personally am obsessed with the Teeny Star Background from DeNami Design on my Halloween cards. The contrast between the bright white cardstock and black stars is my favorite.
Want to see some of the other Halloween projects I’ve created years past? Here are three that I really loved. There’s more that I’ll share… in a post later on!
I know you all love a good coupon and I wanted to share that Ellen Hutson has ALL of their in-stock stamps 20% off. The sale ends today, so be sure to take advantage of this great savings!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and look back on some previous cards. Thanks for spending some time with me today.
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. I finally got to get in some crafty time in, which I am SO happy about. After not crafting for almost a month, my creativity took it’s time coming, but it finally arrived towards the end of the night. Thankfully, I did get a couple of cards made and even managed to work on samples for the new release next month!
With the Watercolor Blog Hop just days away, I wanted to show you a super easy card that is perfect for a watercolor beginner (like myself). I created my main panel and thought it needed a bit of color, so I brought out my first set of watercolors and voila! If you’re just testing out the watercolor trend, I would suggest getting the set I show below (#2). It’s very inexpensive, but is great for beginners to get a feel for this pretty technique.
The great thing about watercolors is you can just add a little bit to a card, or you can go all out. Since I’m still just a beginner, I usually only add a little bit to my cards. However, I’m going to try my hand at getting into this gorgeous trend a little more, so hopefully I can use them more often!
On this card, I pulled out the adorable elephant from WPlus9 and created a mini scene. I wanted to try to create a flowering tree, so I used the Simple Tree from DeNami Design and then added some of the sequin flowers from the Lilac Garden Flowers Mix.
If you are like me, you might be a little overwhelmed by the amount of watercolor options out there. I compiled a list of some of the top options available and broke them down into different sections. It’s not super comprehensive, but I wanted to show just some of the different products available that are popular.
Also, I wanted to remind you all that some of the coupon codes provided by the Watercolor Blog Hop sponsors expires today! Here are the sponsors that still have valid coupon codes available.
Thanks for spending some time with me today! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and that the info I provided was helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll do my best to respond!
It’s been two weeks since the new dies and sequins were released and I know that many of you have already gotten your orders. Hooray! For those who still have orders in, fear not, I just got restock shipments on all the new products, so there’s lots in the shop!
On my first card, I decided to go with blues and browns for this card- a color palette I think looks darling for baby cards. For my focal point, I used the Noah’s Ark stamp from DeNami Design. How cute is this stamp?! I went with subtle coloring so the cardstock and sequins colors could really stand out. When I finished off the card, I thought it needed a little more texture so I added the yummy champagne chevron twill ribbon.
On my second card, I went with my current go-to colors- purple, green and gray. These colors are so striking and every time I put together a new batch of the Enchanted Garden embellishment kit, I want to play with the products. I wanted to create a shaker card using these beautiful colors and since I just got the Baby Party Animals set from Simon Says Stamp, I thought it would look cute on this card. This stamp set is DARLING! As I was creating, I decided I wanted to try to incorporate the bracket die from the Stitched Borders 3. I must say, I really love the way it looks at the bottom of cards! If you are a fan of the little sequin flowers, you’ll definitely want to get the new Lilac Garden Flowers. This pack has four different colored flowers in one package and they add the perfect little touch to your craft projects. LOVE!
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before May 18, 2015 at 11:59 PM PDT.
Ready to hop along and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration from the design team?
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about the new dies, sequins and embellishment kit and for spreading the word about Pretty Pink Posh. Be sure to join me tomorrow- I’ll be making the BIG blog hop announcement with over 12 sponsors and there will be exclusive coupon codes, too!
Today I was planning on doing a personal post, but I realized I needed to announce the winners of the last two blog posts. This weekend was filled with surprises (which I’ll go into in my next post), so this got a little bit delayed. Instead of doing just a winner announcement post, I thought I’d throw in a card I haven’t shared on the blog, too.
This card is actually one I created back in December, but never got around to sharing. It features the darling Monster Celebrations set by DeNami Design- one of their very first clear sets! I’m a sucker for sets that bring a smile to your face and this one definitely does.
I wanted to use the Peek-A-Boo die in a creative way, so I decided to keep the bottom folds closed and use it as a pocket. The rectangle tag from the Stitched Tags fits into the “pocket” perfectly! One of my favorite things about these monsters are the versatility. You could use them for graduation, promotions, doing well in school…
Did you notice the coloring I did on the “hooray”? I’m totally loving the ombre look lately and it’s super easy to achieve with Copics.
I have emailed and sent over the gift certificates to you four ladies. I hope you have lots of fun browsing the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and crossing things off your wish list!
Well, that’s going to wrap up today’s post. I’m so happy to see so many of you jumping aboard the sequin bandwagon and also enjoying the dies that I’ve been designing. I just sent another batch of new die designs to get made… lots more fun things in store these next few months!
Just a few more days until Christmas and I am finally finished with my shopping. Now comes the part of waiting for Amazon to deliver the rest of the gifts and then it’ll be a mad dash to gift wrap. Truth be told, I didn’t start shopping until a few days ago, so I’m pretty happy that I was able to get it all done.
I wanted to share this fun card that I created using sequins on the Large Mitten(from DeNami Design). For those who have followed my blog for a while, this card may look semi familiar. I was inspired by THIS old creation and thought I would change it up and feature purples. I personally love the pinks/ reds, but I thought it would be fun to change it up.
I’ve been getting quite a few requests as to how I create these scalloped card bases. I’ll try to do a video as soon as the sun peeks out again! It’s SUPER easy and I’m glad that many of you are liking the way it looks!
I absolutely LOVE this Large Mitten stamp– it’s great for cards, tags and scrapbook pages. You can use it with a wide variety of colors (as shown below) and it still looks amazing. I wanted to give YOU the opportunity to win this stamp, along with a $50 PPP gift certificate.
I’m planning on taking a few days off this week- to relax, spend quality time with family, drink all sorts of yummy holiday drinks and eat like I’m hibernating for the rest of winter. In between, I’m hoping to get in another blog post or two….
QUESTION: anything in particular you’d like me to blog about?
I hope that you’re having a wonderful Christmas season thus far. XO
Oh boy, it has been a crazy two weeks. I am all caught up on orders and I’m excited because I’ve set aside the whole day to just craft. I’m going to try to avoid business things today and be creative in the studio, edit videos and maybe even schedule some blog posts. Eeeek, I don’t even know where to begin!
To kick off my creative day- why yes, I think this is what I will put in my planner whenever I craft- I thought I’d bring a brand new post to share. I created these cards and video right before the Black Friday madness and now I get to share them. I know it’s getting awfully close to Christmas, but these DeNami Design stamps are adorable and you just might want to pick them up for next year’s cards.
No surprise here, but I had to create at leas one shaker card for this post. The Penguins In Igloo stamp is just plain adorable, so I decided to let it shine and not add any other stamps. I paired the stamp with the Stitched Duo 1 and Stitched Borders 1 dies for the focal point and added a little handful of sequins.
My second card is one of my favorites from the past few months. Every once in a while, a card will turn out exactly how I envisioned and this card was one of those lucky ones. I’ve been loving red these days- it’s so festive and bold- and I paired it with a fresh green and gray. A little twist to the “traditional” Christmas colors.
This card highlights the No Peeking Chickie Circle, along with the Chickie Christmas Garland. These stamps are two of my favorites from all of the Christmas releases I’ve seen this year. They’re cute, versatile and sure to bring a smile wherever they’re seen.
You may have noticed that I used the Stitched Film Strip on this card, but I used it in a different way. Instead of creating three mini scenes, or having critters peek out of all the squares, I decided to have the circle stamp in the middle and then do little scenes at the top and bottom. I totally love how this turned out and am already looking at my other circle stamps to see what other combinations I can create!
I recently was introduced to the Silver Delicata ink pad and I am IN LOVE. It’s so perfect! I need to get my hands on the gold one since I don’t have any good gold metallic ink pads. How did I not find these sooner?!
To coordinate with today’s post, I have a video showcasing these cards, along with an extra one and a look at the whole DeNami Winter 2014 release.
GIVEAWAY WINNER: It’s time to announce the winner of the Studio L2e set and PPP gift certificate from my last giveaway. Congratulations to Anika Estes! I have emailed you and you will have seven days to claim your prize.
For those who entered my latest giveaway- thank you! It was so fun to read about the last time you mailed out cards and to also introduce many of you to the brand Studio L2e. If you’re planning on getting organized in the new year and keeping a planner, be sure to check out Kanani’s adorable line of stamps.
That’s going to wrap up my post for today. I hope you’re having a great December and getting all sorts of Christmas projects finished.
I honestly wish I could write a personal thank you to note to each and every one of my readers, customers and supporters. I would not be where I am- with the Pretty Pink Posh Shop, my journey to find a new “normal” since the accident, and a plethora of other opportunities had it not be for you. I am amazed at how far this blog has come and the amazing friendships I have made writing on this little part of the internet.
Today I’m recycling an old card I made…I hope you don’t mind. It features all sorts of Thanksgiving goodness, PLUS, it’s one of the rare times I feature my 6mm flat sequins! For those who enjoy sequins, but don’t want to add bulkiness to your cards, this is the perfect way to achieve that!
I am in love with the little jingle bells that I have in the shop and I think adding 1, 2, 3 or more to a card makes it a little more festive. Plus, it’s hard to pass up the sound of the little jingles.
For those who love a good sale, my friends at DeNami Design are doing 20% off ALL STAMPS until November 30, 2014. I’m a big fan of wood mounted stamps (after all, these are what got me into stamping) and there are tons of super cute designs there. Today’s leaves and houndstooth background are by DeNami, along with all the stamps in the cards below.
I truly hope you all have a wonderful day, whether it be with family, friends or your craft supplies. I know we all face challenges and battles, but I hope that we can all stop and soak in all that we have to be grateful for.
Sending big giant hugs to each of you who continue to encourage, support and spread love to me. I am so very grateful for you.
It’s Friday and I was contemplating on whether to do a post today, or just wait until the exciting post tomorrow with Ellen Hutson (for World Card Making Day). Alas, I miss blogging often and I thought you might enjoy seeing another card using the new Stitched Tags die set.
You may recognize the layout of this card- it’s similar to the winter penguin card I posted the other day. Isn’t it neat how simply changing out colors and stamps can have a card feeling completely different? These tags are so fun and I honestly cannot wait to start seeing samples from you all!
Today’s card features the Friendly Mummy, Halloween Fence and Polka Dot Background from DeNami Design. I had finished the card and then realized that it need something extra- hence adding the Halloween Mix and the Lawn Fawn grass die cut out from black cardstock.
Well, I will keep this post short since I have orders to fulfill and a long post to write for tomorrow. Thanks for stopping in today!
Oh goodness, I am blown away by the response of the Cutting Edge Blog Hop this weekend. As I’m writing this, we are at 167 entries, but I’m hoping we can pass the 200 mark! It has been SO fun to browse your entries, see all the love and comments being left and I’m hoping that many have found new blogs to follow, too!
In the crazy prep of the blog hop, I was stressing myself out on creating a “perfect die cut” card and then I realized the post was way too long for me to include one. Silly me! Anyhow, now I have some cards to share in the future.
Today’s card features a recent addition to the PPP lines of dies- the Stitched Film Strip. I absolutely love this die and it makes me so happy to see and read that you all are enjoying it as well. I just shipped a TON of these dies out in orders, so I’m looking forward to seeing even more of your cards in the future.
Aren’t these monsters adorable? They are actually one stamp that I cut apart! It’s called the Happy Monster Party and it’s by DeNami Design. I used them on THIS CARD and video and I still can’t put it down.
I have several posts planned for this week, so you’ll be hearing from me again soon. Thank you for spending some time with me today!
