Spring Scene Card

Hello, Gemma here today to wish you all a Happy Spring! I just love this sentiment in the new Bunny Friends stamp set. Spring is my favorite season so welcoming it with a card seems perfect! I began this card by blending lucky clover distress oxide ink onto the front of a card base. I took another piece of card, about a third narrower than the card base, and blended cracked pistachio distress oxide ink on to that.

I stamped the sentiment from the Bunny Friends stamp set on to the card panel, then added it to the card base with foam tape.

Next, I stamped some images from the Bunny Friends stamp set, coloured them with copic markers, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I placed three bunnies on the card, positioned just on the edge of the card panel. I added some foam tape on the right side of the bunnies, where they hang over the edge, and some tape runner on the left side, where they sit directly on the panel.

I then added lots of flowers and leaves around the bunnies. I used foam squares under some of the flowers, and adhered others directly to the card base. To finish the card, I added a few of the lovely green Shamrock jewels around the sentiment, and some Wink of Stella clear glitter to the flowers.

If you haven’t picked up your set yet, be sure to get yours soon. There is a blog hop soon and I know there will be many cute ideas with this set.

These bunnies are so cute! I love how happy they look playing amongst the flowers! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Tutorial: Happy Spring Bunnies

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing a card using the new Decorative Egg Dies and Bunny Friends stamp set.

To begin, I distressed the egg stitched die-cut with Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw, and Cracked Pistachio.

Next, I colored the other pieces with Copic Markers.

I added the cute bunnies from the Bunny Friends set. This set is so much fun and also has coordinating dies!

For added interest on the eggs I adhered the fun, new jewels in Pink Blush, Lemon Drop, and Sea Glass.

For the card base I distressed the bottom with Chipped Sapphire and Cracked Pistachio, then splattered it with water and let it dry. Once it dried then a added some white dots of pen from uni-ball Signo broad gel pen.

Here’s another look of the card.

I hope you guys enjoyed! We cannot wait to see what fun things you make with these amazing products. Until next time 😊

Tutorial: Creating 4 St. Patrick’s Day Cards

Hello Pretty Pink Posh fans! This is Yana and today I am sharing video tutorial showing how to make several Good Luck cards featuring Best of Luck stamp set. I have 4 easy to make card ideas that work for St Patrick’s Day, but can also be used as an everyday Good Luck or Encouragement cards.

I started working on my projects by stamping images from the Best of Luck stamp set in alcohol marker friendly ink onto white cardstock. I used Copic markers and did some very basic and quick coloring. These, of course, can be colored using any coloring medium you prefer, I decided to use Copic markers because I find them easy to use. I used mostly green colors, although I didn’t use the St Patrick’s Day green as I don’t particularly like that shade of green, I went with the green that I like.

Watch my video tutorial below to learn how I made this card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I used the following Copic Marker colors: YG03, YG17, C7, C5, C3, C1, Y11, Y15, Y17, E00, E02. Once my coloring was done I used coordinating dies and cut my images out in my Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting machine.

Card Idea #1

For my first card I decided to use the horseshoe and a 3 leaf clover. To add some interest to my card I used colored cardstock and added it from the corners of white panel. I picked 3 shades of green cardstock and trimmed it using paper trimmer into 4 pieces.

I had cardstock panels cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and I trimmed them going on a diagonal once and than once again in the opposite direction. Next, I stamped Best of Luck sentiment in black ink onto my white cardstock panel and foam mounted the horseshoe in place and also used glue to adhere the shamrock.

Next, I temporarily adhered the panel onto my cutting mat – I aligned it with the grid and I started adhering green cardstock pieces in place. I didn’t measure anything, I just eyeballed the placement trying to evenly frame the image and sentiment in the center.

Once I had all the pieces adhered I used my scissors and I trimmed the rest of the cardstock off. I used new jewel embellishments from Pretty Pink Posh to dress up this card and I went with the Shamrock color of course – I used this color for most of my cards today.

Card Idea #2

For my next card I decided to use a non St. Patrick’s Day sentiment, but rather one that reads Sending Good Vibes. This sentiment comes from the new Encouraging Greetings stamp set.

I stamped and die cut a rainbow, pot of gold and a few shamrocks. I didn’t want to color the rainbow as a regular rainbow, but used just yellows instead. I stamped my sentiment in black ink and foam mounted my elements in place. I used foam adhesive to foam mount the yellow rainbow and once I had it placed I used a double layer of adhesive to foam mount the pot of gold and the shamrocks on the other side of the rainbow. I also added one shamrock onto the pot itself – I used glue for that one.

To add a bit of shine and sparkle to this card I used my Aqua Shimmer pen and added a generous amount of shimmer to the rainbow and also the gold coins in the pot. I feel like this shimmer really stepped up my card and added a bit of that necessary wow to this simple design.

Finally, I tucked 2 more shamrocks behind the rainbow for some additional interest. I also used new Jewels to embellish my card, I went with the lighter green color this time- Spring Green. I trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted it onto an A2 top folding card base.

Card Idea #3

For my next card I did some negative die-cutting – I die cut an opening using a coordinating die for one of the images in a white cardstock panel.

I stamped a Best Of Luck sentiment and foam mounted my panel onto an A2 white card base. Next, I adhered my colored image in the opening, so it was recessed in the card and foam mounted a pot of gold over it creating a little scene.

I once again used my Aqua Shimmer pen to add some shine to the gold coins and I also adhered one of the shamrocks onto the pot with gold. Lastly, I couldn’t resist embellishing my card using new jewels and I used several Shamrock colored jewels to dress up this card.

Card Idea #4

My last card for today is an interactive one – I used a mini wobble spring to add movement and interest to this project. I stamped, colored and die-cut Patrick with the shamrocks and coins. I used scissors to just him out as I didn’t need to coins and shamrocks, I wanted to add the wobble spring just behind the guy.

I also stamped same image and Happy St. Patrick’s day sentiment onto a white cardstock panel. I colored the coins and shamrocks stamped in the background using Copics, but I didn’t color the little guy as I already have one colored and attached onto the mini wobble spring.

I adhere him in place and that added a ton of interactivity to this super simple card. Ever since I learned about these wobblers about a year or so ago I can’t stop using them for my cards! I think they are so much fun and every wobble spring card I’ve ever given to somebody made that person smile and play with the interactive element for a long time.

I foam mounted my panel onto a 4 Bar card base and of course I embellished it using the new Jewels in Shamrock.

Which card idea do you like the most? Share below! And as always, have fun stamping!

March 2018 Release Now Available

The March 2018 Release is now available in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and select retailers that carry our products. If you missed our post yesterday, we revealed all of the products in picture form, but if you would like to see them in a video, Eloise has you covered!

Watch the video above   I   Watch the video in HD on YouTube

It’s Marge here with you. Today I’m going to share a watercolor card featuring the Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set  which is one of the March Release Products  from Pretty Pink Posh.

As you all know, Pretty Pink Posh steadily has released flowers stamps and what I love about them is that they are always released in shapes of separate blossoms and leaves, not in a bouquet or bunch shape.

There could be plenty of designs/layouts with these blossoms, which you can make into your own style. I have been seeing so many beautiful creations made with Pretty Pink Posh’s flowers sets, each of which is uniquely designed and beautiful as well. The new Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set is no exception. It’s very versatile!

To begin the card, I stamped images of Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set on a piece of 300g watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black Ink  which is water-resistant. Then I colored them using Daniel Smith Watercolor paints from light to deep colors focusing on giving shades.

I then cut the images using Cherry Blossoms Coordinating Dies.

To make a background panel, I prepared an A2 sized white cardstock from Bristol paper, then sponged  it with Distress Oxide Inks: Gathered TwigsPeeled Paint Twisted Citron Squeezed Lemonade Tattered Rose, and Worn Lipstick one by one from bottom to top. Next, I added splatters of clean water, gold pearl, and black inks. After the inks are dried up, I stamped a sentiment from the Encouraging Greetings Stamp Set on the center of the panel using Versafine Onyx Blak Ink.

Then I arranged blossoms and leaves on the panel according to the sketch I had in mind.

To embellish the card, I used several of our new Jewels Collection, which are so beautiful that they could add fantastic sparkly effect on your cards.

I put some of ButtercreamPink BlushSpring Green, and Shamrock here and there using a glue, then I foam-mounted the panel on an A2 sized top-folded cardbase and finished it off.

That’s it for today. Thanks for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you will visit us again soon!

Sneak Peek: March Die Cuts

Jeanne here today and I’m so EGG-cited to be sharing dies from the new release with you today! I’ve combined two of the new sets on this first colorful Easter card.

The new Stacked Layers 2 die set includes 3 stackable dies. Like the original Stacked Layers 1 you can cut the dies several times to make amazing backgrounds or use them individually as borders.

I cut the diamond pattern in a rainbow of colors before adhering the gorgeous floral, intricate cut Happy Easter Shaker die.  I love the diamond pattern peeking through the die openings. This card is clean and simple but the crisp die cuts and stitched detail makes it look fussy and expensive.

The new Decorative Eggs is a set of four egg die cuts. You can use the individually “as is” or stack them as I did on my card.

I arranged the four eggs on a clean white Stitched Notes panel. To add more color to the card I cut blocks of card stock in colors matching the die cut eggs and layered them under the panel. I topped the eggs with the new Happy Easter Script sentiment die.

Notice anything else new? You’re going to love the new Jewels in the store! They’re available in a rainbow of colors and are faceted like real gems. The packages contain a generous portion of gems in different sizes that will add sparkle to all your projects!

Stop by again soon for more peeks at the new release! You won’t want to miss a thing!

Sneak Peek: Bunny Friends

Hello everyone! Amy here and I’m so excited to be sharing a look at the new adorable Bunny Friends stamp set releasing March 1st. The coordinating Bunny Friends Dies will be available as well.

Today, I’m sharing a one layer Easter card using the masking technique. Masking is a stamping technique where you cover stamped images so that the other images may be placed over it to create an illusion of depth. The image you stamp first is the one that will appear on the front. The second image will look as though it’s partially behind the first.

To begin, I stamped the bunnies from Bunny Friends on thin printer paper. I cut them out with a scissor right on the line (see photo 1). Behind the images, I used a removable adhesive tape.

I placed a trimmed Bristol paper inside a Misti Stamping Tool, and stamped the first bunny and flowers (see photo 2). I covered the stamped image with the paper mask, and I used the Molotow Masking Liquid on the flowers (since it would be more difficult to create paper masks for them). I continued masking and stamping until I had all the images stamped.

To add color to the panel, I die-cut trimmed paper with a die from the Scallop Borders 2.

I covered the top of the panel with the die-cut paper and inked the bottom with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. After, I spritzed it with water for texture. I then covered the bottom and inked the top of the panel with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. I spritzed it with water as well as splatters of diluted Peacock Feather Distress Inks. Finally, I removed all the paper masks and colored the images with Copic markers.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink from the Easter Friends stamp set, and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I die-cut the panel with Stitched Notes Dies. To finish, I mounted the panel to a top folding card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek of the Bunny Friends stamp set!

Sneak Peek: Sparkle Dot Patterns 2

Good morning friends! Heather here this morning with a peek at some of the newest goodies from Pretty Pink Posh! This new release is amazing – and if you are ready for Spring – it is PERFECT!

Today I’m featuring the exciting follow-up to the unique Sparkle Dot Patterns 1 stamp set from a previous release. That’s right! The new release includes Sparkle Dot Patterns 2! I’m also using SEVERAL of the new dies from the release, and some of the gloriously sparkly new Jewels!

There are several patterns in the Sparkle Dot Patterns 2 stamp set – but I noticed that the smaller egg shape was a PERFECT fit for the Decorative Egg Dies! I stamped it in a soft colored ink on my die cut solid egg, then filled it in with Pink Blush, Spring Green, Pansy Purple, and Lemon Drop Jewels. One little Sea Glass Jewel snuck on there as well by accident – can you spot it? I added the scallop edge tucked behind and adhered with a bit of foam adhesive for more dimension.

Next I created a background using the new Stacked Edges 2 Dies and some soft watercolor pattern paper from a 6×6 MFT paper pad. I layered them on a panel of white cardstock, and added a white frame with the ever classic Scallop Frames Die. I then die cut Happy Easter Script Die – also a new die – from white glitter cardstock, as well as white cardstock, and layered them together for a bit of extra dimension. I adhered those onto my pattern, wrapped some twine around the bottom of the card, and added my sparkly egg underneath!

The Sparkle Dot Patterns 2 – like the first one – are so fun and versatile! You can use these new jewels, but also sequins, Nuvo Drops, or whatever your imagination can think of!

Hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek! Join us tomorrow for another look at a new stamp set!

Sneak Peek: Cherry Blossoms + Encouraging Greetings

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather here this morning with a peek at some of the new goodies from Pretty Pink Posh that release on March 1st! This new release is amazing – and if you are ready for Spring – it is PERFECT! Today I’m sharing a card using the newest floral stamp set – Cherry Blossoms, along with a new sentiment set called Encouraging Greetings, and some of the fabulous new Jewels, all with the super popular Hummingbird Thanks from the last release tucked in there!

Now I went a little flower crazy on this card – but when I think of cherry blossoms, I always think of fluffy clouds of pink blossoms in huge clusters, so I couldn’t resist recreating that feeling on a card! I stamped each and every one of the flowers from the new stamp set 2-3 times each on white cardstock, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Coloring these up came together super quickly, since I just blended Distress Oxide ink in Abandoned Coral over each one, keeping an ombre design for some depth. Then it was just a matter of using the coordinating dies to cut each one out.

I then arranged the flowers in a design I was happy with on some white woodgrain cardstock, then used Press and Seal (a Jennifer McGuire trick!) to press over the top, pick up the entire arrangement, turn over and apply adhesive, and then press into place. Easy peasy! I added a good sprinkling of Spring Green and Aquamarine Jewels around the edges.

I also stamped and heat embossed my hummingbird and sentiment in clear on white cardstock, and did some ink blending on these as well. For these I used Twisted Citron and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks. I used the coordinating Hummingbird Thanks Dies to cut out the hummingbird, and simply trimmed my sentiment into a banner shape using my paper trimmer and scissors. Attached those with foam adhesive – and it was finished!

Hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek! Be sure to continue to join us for more sneak peeks of the upcoming release!

Tutorial: Creating A Shaker with Distress Oxides

Hi Crafters,

It’s Justine Hovey visiting the Pretty Pink Posh blog for my monthly video. Today, I created a shaker card with some heat embossed acetate. If you know my style, you know that I love colour, but I’m not a massive fan of colouring. I wanted to find a way to incorporate gorgeous colours with stamped images from a variety of Pretty Pink Posh Stamp Sets: Hummingbird Thanks, Pretty Petunias, Butterfly Friends (releasing in May) and Love Sentiments. I stamped them in Versafine onto heat-resistant acetate and embossed the images in white.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube
I created a fun background using some Distress Oxide inks. For this background, I used: Seedless Preserves, Abandoned Coral, and Fossilized Amber. I die cut a frame using the Scallop Frames Dies to use for my shaker. I attached the acetate to it using foam tape.

Lastly, I added the sequins to the background (Assorted Heart Confetti, Spring Blooms Mix, Iridescent Mini Circle Confetti and Sparkling Clear) and covered the coloured panel using the frame I created with the foam tape and acetate. Super fun and easy! I finished it off with a sentiment from the Love Sentiments set. I hope you enjoyed today’s project and you give heat resistant acetate and stamping a try!

I’ll be back in March with another video tutorial. If you enjoyed today’s video, feel free to check out my YouTube Channel.
