As I sit here typing up this post, I have a delicious Pumpkin Spice Chai next to me, along with my pumpkin candle nearby. Oh yes, and let’s not mention that I’m blogging a pumpkin card today! I just may have a slight obsession.
I recently picked up the adorable Lawn Fawn So Thankful set{shown in the video below} and I love it. Why did I wait so long to get it?! While I adore the matching dies, today I wanted to do a little bit of masking with these pumpkins. After I finished stamping these cuties, I seriously wanted to go to a pumpkin patch and get myself a pumpkin! I’m thinking that shall happen here soon….
Did you happen to notice the little bit of stitching that I did? Since it has been quite a while since I pulled out my beloved Sew Easy supplies, I thought it was time to bring them out again. I forgot how therapeutic it is for me to “sew” with these supplies. CLICK HERE to view the photo tutorial I did on this product last year.
Okay, now onto the video that I know many of you have been eagerly awaiting for me to edit. I’m sorry for the delay! My last delivery ended up getting delayed and then with work, I just didn’t get around to editing until now. Thanks for your patience.
*If you want links to any of the products shown in the video, leave a comment and I’ll be happy to help!
That’s a wrap for this post. I’ll be back tomorrow for a special blog hop post and I’ll also be posting pictures throughout the day on my social media sites in honor of World Card Making Day. I hope to see you then!
Today I’m going back in the archives and bringing you something I created in the past, but never shared here on the blog. I actually had originally created it for a guest post over at My Paper Pinwheel(hi Thuy!) in July, but didn’t get around to sharing it with all of you.
This year, I’ve been making a conscious effort to send more notes out to family and friends. With that being said, I’ve needed to stock up on cute and simple notecards- you know, the ones without a lot of bulkiness to them. I was so thrilled when I came up with this quick and easy layout that is a cinch to mass produce.
In this day and age, with technology so prevalant, it’s rare to get a handwritten card in the mail. It’s sad, but true. I try my best to send out as many as I can, since I know it can make even the crummiest days better. Whether you create an elaborate work of art, or just a simple stamped notecard, it’s the thought and words inside that mean the most.
Curious to see just how easy this card is to make? I did a coordinating video that shows step-by-step how to create this card.
I hope that you were inspired by my notecard trio and video. If you give this design a try with some different stamps, I would love to see it. Feel free to leave me a link with your blog link here, or you can tweet me @prettypinkposh or even leave a picture on the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page!
It’s time for a new 10 Minute Craft Dash and since we are officially in fall, I thought it was time to bring out some orange! I will be the first to admit that in the past, I wasn’t an orange fan, but now it’s so fun to incorporate it into cards and projects. Also, with Halloween and Thanksgiving right around the corner, now is the PERFECT time to break out this beautiful color.
* If you aren’t able to stay within the 10 minutes, you can still link up your item! While it won’t quality for the winner spot, it still could qualify as a favorites pick!
Just a little reminder, if you click on the DT cards in this post, it will take you right to their blogs. If you want more info on their creations or want to leave them some blog love (they’d love that!), I have tried to make it as easy as possible. Each of these gals are so talented and they post regularly- go ahead and take a peek at their sites!
Now onto the fun prize! Jamie has provided a $20 gift certficiate to the Avery Ellewebsite for the winner. They just finished a new release, so I know you’ll thoroughly enjoy shopping on their website. Also, if you need to stock up on cardstocks, sequins or ribbons, be sure to take a peek at their lovely array of colors.
I’m thrilled to have a few of the talented Avery Elle DT bringing inspiration today. Be sure to visit their blogs and see their inspiring creations with these colors!
It’s that time again…time to announce the highlights from the 10 Minute Craft Dash #26. This one didn’t have the turnout that we usually have- were the colors a little too difficult? Whenever we have participation numbers down, I always find myself second guessing my color choices. I’m hoping it was just an “off” week for many of you and we’ll be seeing you all this week. Not to worry, it’s an easy color palette that works perfectly for this time of year.
I’m excited about today’s winner because she’s been a favorite pick on a few previous Craft Dash challenges, but hasn’t won before. Today is her lucky day!
Congratulations to Lindsey!
Lindsey, please contact me and I’ll get you connected with Michele so you can fill your cart at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! Also, feel free to grab the badge below and proudly display it on your blog!
Here are my favorites picks from this last challenge. If you haven’t already, be sure to stop by each of the blogs to take a look at the beautiful cards! {Ladies, feel free to grab the badge below and put it on your blogs!}
If you are interested in getting a head start on the next Craft Dash, I have the colors that will be featured on the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page. This is EXCLUSIVE to those who like my page. If you go there and go to “exclusives”, you get to see the next 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge a day early!
Well, that’s a wrap for this highlight post. Thank you to everyone who continues to join along in the challenge, along with all of our amazing sponsors. I hope to see you tomorrow for the new challenge!
I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for almost everything fall. The chunky sweaters, boots, leggings, yummy smelling candles, everything Pumpkin Spice and the sight of leaves falling. The one thing I dislike? All of the rain! *sigh* I suppose it comes with the season, but I really could pass on this element. (It’s a little ironic, especially since I live in the Seattle area!)
This weekend, I was able to get some crafting done and this is one of the cards I created. It’s super simple, but I didn’t want to make it too fussy since the Elegant Autumn Scene is so beautiful in itself. Honestly, I’m not loving the leaves I did on the outside, but my original tone-on-tone leaves didn’t turn out as much as I had hoped.
If you’re looking for one stamp to add for the autumn season, I would suggest this one. It’s PERFECT for a one layer cards and the possibilities are endless. You can paper piece, emboss or color these leaves and let’s not forget you can mask off the sentiment and stamp a different one (hello thank you cards!).
If it was physically and financially possible, I would send each and every one of my readers today’s card. You all have such a special place in my heart and I wish I could write to you individually. Alas, this post will have to do.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday. Thanks for spending some time with me today!
Oh boy, can you believe the last day of September is here? It amazes me that while it seems that day to day sometimes goes by slowly (especially when one is eagerly awaiting to feel physically well), the months seem to fly by. How is that even possible?! Before you know it, it’ll be Thanksgiving and we all know what comes after that!
Today I’m bringing along my On the Wish List feature for this month. I always have intentions of doing it earlier in the month, but then the days fly by and it’s hard to sneak it in among my other posts. Since I also wanted to share a card today, I’ll be doing TWO posts today. It’s a rarity here on the blog, but there are just some days that call for it.
I’m curious…. sweet readers, what’s on YOUR wish list at the moment?
As some of you may have seen on my Instagram or Facebook page, I recently got some new craft supplies. I’m awaiting another order today and I’ll be doing a haul video. While it won’t go live today (since UPS delivers late in the day for me), I’ll still be classifying it as a September Haul. Stay tuned to the Pretty Pink Posh YouTube channel later this week for the video!
Thank you for spending some time with me today, sweet friends. I truly adore hearing from you all and I hope to see you for the other post that will go up in an hour.
Has September flown by for you? It sure has for me! I cannot believe today is the last Friday of the month! With that being said, I thought it was time to break out some Halloween stamps and over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some cards and projects I’ve created.
Now I do need to give you some background…..I have grown up in a conservative home my whole life and I have never been trick or treating. Yes, EVER. We used to live in a neighborhood where kids would come by the hundreds, but then we moved to the country where no one comes out. Honestly, I never got the appeal of Halloween (probably because I think our world is scary enough and we don’t need to glorify scary things). However, I do love me some CUTE Halloween stamps and have no problem giving sweet treats and cards to family or friends!
In today’s card, I’ve paired some new and old, along with all sorts of different companies. I recently made a trip to Target and picked up a cute Halloween paper pack by American Crafts, which lead to all sorts of cards and projects. You’ll be seeing more of these papers in the next few weeks….
I know that not everyone celebrates Halloween, so I’ll try to incorporate a good mix of cards this next month. A thank you to my overseas readers for letting me know you don’t celebrate it and don’t want to see too much of it. It never occurred to me that it’s just a United States thing. Silly me!
Question: do you and/or your family celebrate Halloween? In an upcoming post, I’ll share what our family used to do on Halloween. *wink*
Thanks for spending some time with me today. Enjoy your Friday!
Are you new to my blog? First off, a gigantic hello! Recently I’ve seen an abundance of new faces, names and higher numbers and I’m so thrilled you found your way here! If you ever have questions about a post, or would like to send me a note, feel free to contact me- click here for the info. If you enjoy my blog, your friends might too! I would love for you to share my blog with your family and friends- the more the merrier.
As we are nearing the end of September, I wanted to make sure I got in my monthly Random Loves feature. These posts are filled with random items I’m loving that month. It’s been so much fun to see YOUR lists over the months and check out the items you are listing. I’ve been introduced to many new things thanks to your suggestions!
Let’s dive into today’s post….Many of you know I’m a fan of movies and tv shows. In fact, whenever I’m crafting, I’m watching something. I had cancelled Netflix quite a while ago and just recently started it up. I currently have Amazon Prime and didn’t think I needed Netflix, but recently they added more things to their internet streaming (which is what I have) and I’ve been catching up. For less than $9 a month, it’s a win in my book AND I love that I can watch things on my phone through their app, too! Once I watch everything on my list, I’ll cancel it again and then wait a few months….gotta save those pennies for craft supplies down the road!
Recently, my doctor had me cut out chocolate and since my stomach can’t handle ice cream anymore, I NEEDED to find a new sweet treat. A few weeks back I had a light night run to the store with the girls and decided to give raspberry sorbet a try. While it’s nowhere near ice cream (oh how I miss chocolate, dairy and nuts!), it still qualifies as a sweet treat and helps when I’m in need of something cold.
I recently made a trip to Bath and Body Works to stock up on soaps and couldn’t resist picking up this candle. If you’re a fan of pumpkin scents, this one is AMAZING. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever burned through a whole candle, but I did burn through this small one in a few days. Every time I went to my studio, I had to light it since it smelled so delicious! In fact, I need to get a big one of this scene (or rather several….) so I can enjoy the aroma again!
With my health issues and the super limited items my body is able to handle, I’ve been eating as many organic items as possible (since my body is very weak and can’t handle toxins). The grocery stores are so outrageous in their organic prices and my friend suggested I check out the farmer’s market. Why didn’t I think of this?! I’ve been two weeks in a row and I plan on going every Saturday until it closes for the season. We have picked up fresh fruit and veggies, fresh cut flowers (at GREAT prices) and also some honey from the area. You just can’t beat supporting local small business/ families and how fresh their items are!
Fall is officially here and I’ve already broken out some scarves and boots. I was looking for a new pair of brown boots (since I wore through my other pair) at Target and while I didn’t find what I was looking for, I spotted these cute shoes. After a quick test walk, I found them to be comfortable, easy to walk in AND stylish. You can be sure I added them to my cart! I’ve been wearing them almost every single time I go out and I know they’ll be a staple in my wardrobe this season.
What are a few of YOUR random loves at the moment? It can be drinks, shows, clothing, movies, etc…. whatever products you’re loving, or have on your wish list, I’d love to read about them!
Happy Monday and more importantly, HAPPY FALL, Y’ALL!
I hope you’re all enjoying the start to this new, wonderful season. This past weekend was incredibly busy, full of lots of great food at Music City Eats, time spent with family, and of course, a little {okay, maybe a lot} of football watching! Of course, I also made time to bake, whipping up these Fall Sunflower Cookies.
Today, I am bringing you an adorable AND easy recipe for Fall Sunflower Cookies. I hope you love these as much as I do… I can’t seem to get enough of these sugary treats, and know my friends will love the little burst of fall when I deliver them later today.
Fall Sunflower Cookies
Recipe Type: Dessert
Serves: 24
Ingredients
1 package Pillsbury “break-n-bake” Sugar Cookies {refrigerated}
1 tub of Vanilla Frosting
1 bag of Mini Chocolate Chips
1 bag of Candy Corn
Instructions
Bake sugar cookies according to package directions.
Let cool until room temperature.
Frost each cookie with a layer of vanilla frosting {you could also make your own frosting, but I like to keep it easy}.
Place individual candy corn pieces in a circle around the outside of the cookie, with the pointy end toward the center. Repeat this until you have an entire ring around the cookie. These make up the flower petals.
Place mini chocolate chips in the center of the candy corn circle, to serve as the center of the flower. Really press them into the icing to ensure they don’t fall out- you might even need a few layers.
Let the frosting set for about 1-2 hours.
Package in individual cello bags and tie with ribbon, or keep in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.

*What would y’all like to see more of in the coming weeks? Cookies? Muffins? Healthy? Easy? Just let me know, and I will do my best to come up with something yummy! Make it a marvelous Monday!
This past week, I reached another milestone here at Pretty Pink Posh- 500 subscribers on the YouTube channel! I haven’t been keeping track of the subscribers there and when I looked, I was so shocked to see the numbers. If you’re one of my subscribers, thank you! I’m not able to do videos regularly, so seeing that the ones I do make are appreciated brings me great joy.
Speaking of videos….I have a new one to share with you all today. I filmed this one last week, but since I’ve been pretty much confined to bed lately, I haven’t been able to edit and upload it until today. It’s a short one, but I love the way it turned out- I hope you all do, too!
In today’s card, I’m highlighting two sets that I purchased recently: WPlus9 Fanciful Feathers and Mama Elephant Many Thanks. Sadly, now that I’m featuring it- they’re both currently sold out at Ellen Hutson. They should be getting more soon though!
And now, here’s the video showcasing how I created this card. You just might see the Stamp Press in use {finally!} and if you don’t have one, hopefully this video will show how amazing it is.
It’s so fun to see what sentiments can work together, I hope you’ll give this technique a try! If you do, I would love to see it! Feel free to tweet or Instagram me (be sure to tag @prettypinkposh) or you can leave a comment on this post with your link. I can’t wait to see YOUR versions!
