Gnome Kids
Can I get gushy for a moment? I want to send giant hugs to each one of you. Truly, I wouldn’t be the person I am (or be in the place I am with my business) if it weren’t for the faithful prayers of my readers, the wonderful emails/ comments and those special gifts and cards you send my way. I am so very blessed to have you all in my life!
*Okay, now back to our regularly scheduled post…..*
Oh my goodness, did Father’s Day creep up on anyone else? As I was making a run to the post office, I came to the realization that Father’s Day was on Sunday and I needed to make my dad a card. STAT. Every year I make my dad a card and each time I make “us kids” into stamped creations. One year we were dogs, the other cats, owls… yeah, we’ve been pretty much animal you can think of. This year, I decided to make us gnomes, courtesy of this Woodland Chickie.
For those new to my blog, there are five kids in our family (I’m the oldest) and we each have unique personalities. I tried my best to showcase that in this card, without adding extra fuss. Thanks to the Stitched Duo 1 dies, this card was a piece of cake!
It makes me so happy to hear that many of you have purchased the other dies that I’ve been using in my recent cards. Lately, in addition to the PPP dies, my go-to ones is this Mama Elephant combo set and the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border. These dies are definitely “must haves” in my book!
In the last few days, I’ve been getting emails from customers sharing their creations using the dies. There are no words for how happy it makes me to see you enjoying my products and the encouragement you bring to me for future endeavors. I can’t reveal much, but stay tuned for some announcements coming in August….. you won’t want to miss it….BIG things are in store!
Another super cute card! I need those dies! Addicted to those tiny stitches!
Your gnomes are adorable and your father will love his card!
I love the dies, and EVERYTHING I have ordered from Denami Designs ! The background stamps (star, heart and small polka dot) work and look exactly like I hoped they would. The chickies could not be cuter. What is it about a box full of pretty sequins that makes us happy? It just does, it makes me happy. I have worked in a hospital for 37 years so I “get it” Keep searching, you know yourself better then anyone, trust yourself!!! Love your blog, videos and your shop. Can’t wait to see what the future brings.
I come from a family of 7 very different individuals, so I’d need a bigger window, but what a fun idea. Did your siblings fight over who might be whom on the card? I know my sibs would! ;-)
What a fun card — I love that you make your family with the stamped images!
And yes, Father’s Day totally snuck up on me — I thought it was next weekend! So, as a result, my gift that I ordered for my husband will not be here on time. :(
Adorable card, but … what I really want to tell you is how much I like the thought behind it. Making each chick into a member of the family is ingenious!
