Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Hello, it’s Gemma here today for Valentine Theme Week.

The new Valentine Wreath stamp set is showcased on my card today. I offset the wreath for a fun alternative design. I began with the background, using the new Scattered Hearts stencil to dry emboss a pattern on the right side of a card panel. The plate sandwich will depend on your die cutting machine, so experiment to get the desired look. You may want to add shims for a deeper impression.

Be sure to stop by the Valentine section as all items there are 15% off this week!

I then lightly used a blending brush to add Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo distress oxide ink colours. I started from the right hand side, fading out the colour as I went. The ink highlights the embossed details nicely. I adhered this panel to my card base.

Next, I stamped images from two new stamp sets – Valentine Wreath and Sending Love. I coloured them with copic markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I used foam tape to adhere the bird and wreath to the card.

For the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Valentine Wreath stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a piece of white card. I then heat embossed it with a clear shimmer embossing powder.

I die cut the sentiment and added layers behind for dimension, then adhered to my card to finish.

Thank you so much for stopping by, see you next time.

Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

Hello friends, it’s Raquel! Welcome to day 2 of Valentine theme week. From January 24th to January 30th we will be focusing on Valentine designs.

We will be offering inspiration each day and there will be a 15% discount on all the items on Pretty Pink Posh Valentine’s Day Section during this theme week.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

I have created a card featuring the Sending Love set.

The first step was to create a background for my creatures. I used the Scattered Hearts Stencil to create a gradient look. I used Seedless Preserves, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Inks.

Next I die cut this cute little tag from the set Decorative Tags Die 2. I applied the same inks only to the lower and upper part of the tag, leaving the center white so that my focal image popped up more.

Next I colored my images. The cute doggy, the letters and the little bird with the heart. I also used a bigger bird from the set Spring Robins.

I used RV66, RV63, RV21 and RV000 for the main images and RV29, RV25 and RV21 for the little hearts. To make the images pop, I added some white accents with a white gelly roll pen. Finally I white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the set Sending Love.

Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Good morning! It’s Lindsey here, and I’m so happy to be participating in the Valentine’s Theme Week!  I have some simple valentine packaging ideas to share with you today. I like using paper or glassine bags for packaging because they work for baked goods, candy, or whatever little trinkets we may want to share. All odd sizes and colors are welcome since they are hidden inside. I made some at Christmas time and decided Valentine’s was the perfect occasion to whip up a couple more.

Be sure to stop by the Valentine section as all items there are 15% off this week!

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

On my first bag, I started by die cutting the top edge of the bag with the scalloped die in the Stacked Edges 3 dies.  I folded the top edge over the bag, cut a second scallop in black and adhered it to the bag’s scalloped edge.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Next I die cut the large scalloped heart from the Valentine Hearts Coordinating Dies in white and pink.  I ran the pink heart back through with a smaller heart from the same die set, so I was left with just a pink scallop frame.  I layered that on top of the white scalloped heart and stamped “Happy Valentine’s Day” from the new Valentine Wreath Set in the center. I tucked a couple leaf sprigs from the Fall Foliage Dies (my favorite!) under the heart. The heart acts like a sticker and helps secure the bag closed, which is an added bonus.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

On my second bag I cut two 2.25″x8.5″ strips of paper in pink and white.  I die cut the pink strip with the Slimline: Floral Cover Die and placed it on top of the solid white strip.  It is extra long, so it can fold over the top of the bag.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Next I layered a gold negative cut heart from the Heart Vines Die on top of the smaller heart in the All My Love Dies.  I think they layer so perfectly!  I added a sentiment from the Valentine Wreath Stamp Set, and finished it off by tucking a couple berry sprigs from the Fall Foliage Dies behind the layered heart.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

This packaging is quick to put together and so fun to make. You could use the same idea to dress up an envelope that you’d be delivering in person. I hope you’ll give it a try!

Stop by tomorrow for another day of Valentine inspiration!

Valentine Wreath + Video

Hello friends! It’s Mindy Eggen here with you today to share inspiration using the Scattered Hearts Stencil and Valentine Wreath stamp set. We are going full-on Valentine’s day for this one!

I have a video tutorial on the Pretty Pink Posh Youtube channel that you can check out down below or HERE on the channel.

I started by ink blending my background using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink on 80 lb white cardstock. I always go back over my colors numerous times to help smooth out the transition.

Then I added the Scattered Hearts stencil and ink blended on Wilted Violet towards the top and Picked Raspberry towards the bottom. This creates a nice contrast from the background.

Since the distress oxide inks are water reactive, I flicked water onto the background using a paint brush. This adds some subtle interest to the background. I also wanted to add some gold to my card so I added a couple drops of water to my starry watercolors and flicked that onto my background as well.

I stamped the wreath from Valentine Wreath stamp in copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers. Since the images are pretty small, I didn’t do any shading to my images. Then used the coordinating die to cut out the wreath.

One of my favorite tricks to white embossing on black cardstock is by using white pigment ink. I feel like I get better results. The sentiment I used today also comes from the Valentine Wreath stamp set.

I finished off my Valentine card by popping up both the wreath and sentiment using foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Hello friends! It’s Leica here today with a slimline card using the new Love Balloons stamp set. This set has some adorable critters, plus alpha balloons that spell LOVE. I know you will love this set as much as I do!

Pretty Pink Posh- Day 2: Valentine Blog Hop

For my card, I started by cutting the large rectangle panel from the Slimline: Peekaboo Window Dies in white cardstock. I then made a cloud stencil by cutting a cloud piece from the Nature Essentials Die. With the cloud, I ink blended the panel with Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. I then splattered gold and white acrylic paints onto the panel.

Pretty Pink Posh- Day 2: Valentine Blog Hop

Next, I stamped, colored, and cut the images from the Love Balloons stamp set and coordinating dies.

I used the following Copic markers:
Beaver – E47/44/43/42
Bunny – W5/3/1
Chipmunk – E29/27/25/23/21
Skunk – C7/5/3/1/0

For the sentiment, I white heat embossed the “Happy Valentine’s Day” stamp from the Valentine Wreath stamp. I foam mounted all the elements onto the card panel. Before adhering to a card base, I added a layer of pink cardstock for more color.

Day 1: Valentine Blog Hop

Pretty Pink Posh- Day 1: Valentine Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here. I love to make shaker cards and today I’m sharing a shaker card that I made using the Love Hearts die. This die measures 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and is perfect for the front of an A2 size card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Day 1: Valentine Blog Hop

If you would like to watch how I made this card, then watch my video here.

I started by die cutting the Love Hearts die using Bristol Smooth cardstock and applied various distress oxide inks to the die cut panel. The ink colors I used are Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry, and Shaded Lilac. After the die cut panel was colored, I set it aside. This will be the top panel for my card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Day 1: Valentine Blog Hop

Next, I started to work on the shaker. To create the shaker, I die cut four pieces of white 110 lb. cardstock. I used these four pieces of cardstock to build up the walls for my shaker card by gluing each of the white die cut pieces together. Next, I glued the stack of white die cuts to an A2 size white card base which measures 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”.

I cut a piece of acetate to measure 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and added it to the back of the colored die cut panel and set it aside.

Pretty Pink Posh- Day 1: Valentine Blog Hop

Next, I added the Sweet Love Clay Confetti shaker pieces to the center of the white hearts on the stack of four die cut panels. Finally, I added glue to the back of the acetate of the colored panel and attached it to the top of the stacked white panels.

To finish off my card, I die cut the Hugs Script Die with black cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card. Next, I added the Pink Blush Pearls to the center of all of the flowers on the front of the card panel.

Gingham Valentine Wreath

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a square-shaped card using the new Valentine Wreath stamp set and its coordinating dies. I just love this set and it’s a great addition to the other previously released wreath sets.

Pretty Pink Posh: Gingham Valentine Wreath

To start, I cut a 4.5″ square panel in white cardstock. I ink blended it with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink then made a gingham pattern by inking Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink through the Wide Stripes Stencil, both horizontally and vertically. To mute the background a bit, I cut a 4.5″ square in vellum.

Pretty Pink Posh: Gingham Valentine Wreath

I then stamped the Valentine wreath on white cardstock, colored with Copic sketch markers, and cut the wreath with the coordinating die. I foam mounted the wreath onto the vellum. For the sentiment, I heat embossed “love you” in gold onto black cardstock and cut with the coordinating die. I foam mounted the sentiment on the vellum, in the center of the wreath. To adhere the vellum onto the card panel, I turned it over and added the liquid glue behind the wreath. Next, I adhered the panel onto a card base – 4.5″ x 9″ scored and folded at 4.5″. Lastly, I added Pink Blush Pearls around the wreath for added interest.

I hope that you like this love card using the new Valentine Wreath stamp set. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy crafting!

Love Hearts Cover Plate

Hi friends! Leica here today with an A2 sized Valentine’s Day card. For this card, I used the new Love Hearts cover plate die. It’s super easy and fun to make cards with this die and I hope you will give it a try.

Pretty Pink Posh: Love Hearts Cover Plate

To start, I cut the Love Hearts die in white cardstock. I then colored the flowers with Copic markers in R85/83/81 and the leaves with G43/40. For the yellow centers of the flowers, I simply cut small squares of  yellow cardstock and adhered them behind the flowers. Next, I adhered the cover plate onto an A2 sized dark pink cardstock.

Pretty Pink Posh: Love Hearts Cover Plate

For the 2 hearts, I inlay the pieces and added pink dots with Copic marker R83. I colored the hearts with a gold marker, stamped “Happy Valentine’s Day” on one of the hearts, and added the “love you” script on the other. This script is from the Valentine Wreath stamp set and coordinating die. I cut a few pieces and stacked it for dimension.

Lastly, I adhered the panel onto a card base. That’s all for this card. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Sneak Peek: January 2022 Dies & Stencils

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today sharing a few new sneak peeks for the new release coming to Pretty Pink Posh on January 6th.

My first card uses the new Scattered Hearts stencil. I ink blended my card panel with Distress Oxide ink in Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar. I then laid the Scattered Hearts stencil on top of the panel and used Festive Berry, Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo ink to add my hearts.

Next, I used the new Sending Love set to stamp my cute images and sentiment (sending lots of). I colored the critters with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Lastly, I used the new Hugs Script die to complete my sentiment.

My next card uses the new Love Hearts background die. There are so many possibilities with this die. I decided to make a Valentine’s Day card but I can’t wait to use it for a wedding card.

I started my card by running the Love Hearts die through my die cutting machine two times. I stacked the dies together and then attached them to a card panel that had been ink blended with Peacock Feathers ink. I then added Kitsch Flamingo ink to the two heart pieces and inlaid them back into the frame.

Next, I used the Floral Hearts set to stamp my wreath. I love the way the wreath fits perfectly around the heart and creates such a sweet frame. I then used the new Sending Love set to stamp my bird. I colored the images with Comic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Lastly, I used the new Valentine Wreath set to stamp my sentiment.

Thanks for joining me for today’s sneak peeks. I hope I inspired you to create some Valentine cards of your own.

Enjoy your day, Dana
