Cards

My Beach House Day #2

Hello blog friends!
Thank you to all who left me sweet comments on My Beach Cottage Day #1! I had such a fabulous time creating that card- the color combo was just delicious! Today’s card features some other stamps from this set: anchor, “relax” sentiment and a rope border. This set is PERFECT for creating cards for any guy in your life!
I created some “waves” by tearing blue cardstock- isn’t that a neat concept? To add a little sparkle to the anchor I added a single Bronze rhinestone. Isn’t it amazing how a single rhinestone can add such dazzle? I really L-O-V-E my rhinestones….Thank goodness DeNami Design has started carrying them!
Isn’t this set great?? I love how versatile it is, and also how it fills in the void in the stamping industry. Be sure to visit Courtney, Dana and Alice’s blogs- they have some fabulous cards to share! Be sure to leave a comment, I really miss hearing from you all!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a FABULOUS Saturday!

Paper: Cream, Brown Kraft, Enchanted Evening, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Tea Dye Duo (PTI)

Other: Bronze rhinestones

My Beach House Day #1

Happy Friday to you all!
It’s been quite exciting here on the blog, hasn’t it? Well, today is the start of some more fun things! It’s time to share a card and sketch for the upcoming release of My Beach House! Courtney is so good about making the releases exciting and fun- this one is no exception! Each one of the Practicing Creativity DT members have created a card to go along with a sketch. Pretty fun, right? I haven’t even gotten to the exciting part….there’s a chance to win a $50 Practicing Creativity gift certificate!!! How amazing is that?!
I went with a fairly simple card design so there is plenty of room to embellish. I was completely taken with these flags- they are so fun to color with my Copics! Did you notice all the fun backgrounds on the panels? I used My Beach House, Key to my Heart and Look Up to accomplish this look. Have I mentioned that’s it’s easy to mix and match Courtney’s sets? ;)
In closing I want to be sure to mention that you should visit Courtney, Dana and Alice! They also have some cards to share + their own sketches! Lots of choices, so there are no excuses not to join us in the fun! The deadline is July 15th, so be sure to create something before then!
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow with another card featuring My Beach House!

New Release

Hello friends!
Today is the day….the day when the NEW DeNami Design stamps are released! After months of planning and working on details, we are finally to the big day. Everyone at DeNami (and the DT) are really excited about this release. In case you missed the news, there are some awesome new images- everything from yummy fruit to adorable puppies to awesome Halloween images! Be sure to visit the DeNami blog for a chance at winning some of the new items!
I have created dozens of card with the new release, but I didn’t want to bombard you with cards. :) I’ve chosen three very different cards- each one showing a different collection.

This card is one of my favorites. I just love these happy colors together. I am so loving these new pear images- they are so fun to shade and I can’t get enough of using the Citrone glitter with them! To dress up the card even more, I added some rhinestones. Let me tell you, I am SOOO excited that we’re carrying them now! Click here to view our great selection.

Who doesn’t love themselves some chickies? Everytime I see one of these stamps, I can’t help but smile. I used the new All Star Chickies set and paired it up with the Sports Balls. I had so much fun adding the pen markings to make it look like the ball was rolling! To add some more pizazz I added our Onyx glitter to the ball- doesn’t it look great?

I really like the way this last card turned out. I broke out the Copics for these puppies- can you say fun? You know how much I love my polka dots- used the Small Solid Circle at the bottom and the new Polka Dots Background on the top. To finish off the card I added some delish Chocolate Brown grosgrain ribbon. (Have I mentioned there are 50 yards on a roll?!)

I hope you were inspired by these cards. This collection really is a ton of fun- you’re sure to find lots that you’ll love! This collection will be available on the DeNami Design website TODAY at 9AM, PST. Our turn around time is pretty quick- you’ll get these goodies in no time!
Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I’ll be bringing you a card featuring the brand new set from Practicing Creativity! Be sure to stop by Courtney’s blog to take a guess at the new set!

2 Sketches 4 You- Laura’s Sketch #55

Hello there!

This week while I was doing my usual blog hopping, I was taken aback by Laura’s Sketch #55. I really love the look of this sketch- probably because it’s so versatile! Even though I’m crazy busy, I just had to make time to play along.
Have I mentioned that I love these new Jack O’Lanterns from DeNami Design? I honestly could make dozens of cards with these little guys. For this card I stuck to the sketch pretty literally. I wanted to stick with more neutral colors, since that’s what I tend to think of when I think of Halloween.
Is anyone else excited about the huge release set to premiere tomorrow at DeNami Design? In case you missed the news, there are 55 brand new images + lots of fabulous new accessories. Mark your calendars for 9AM, PST- that’s when they will be up for sale on the website! Also, be sure to stop by the DeNami blog for your chance at three different giveaways!
Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends! Have a fabulous day!

Smiling Pumpkins

Hi there!
I’ve been so excited about this post- it’s day #9 of the sneak peeks on the DeNami blog. I have been having so much fun reading the responses and also seeing all the amazing cards by the design team. When I was doing the schedule for the sneak peeks, I knew we had to dedicate a day to our new Halloween images. This is the very FIRST time, in 21 years, that we have released any sort of Halloween designs. It’s definitely a departure, but it sure is a fun one.
When I started to play with these stamps, I really got on a roll. I created 12+ Halloween cards! Quite a few of them are being featured in the DeNami classes this season, so I won’t be able to share them for quite some time. However, there are a few that I get to share in the next few weeks.
For today’s card I featured mainly on the Sm. Jack O’ Lantern stamp. I have been really into masking lately, so I used that technique on this card. I just can’t get enough of these smiling guys! Just goes to prove that Halloween does NOT have to be scary. :)
Be sure to stop on by the DeNami Design blog today. There are lots of other great samples + you’ll get to see some of the other new releases. Tomorrow is the day we’ll be doing the full reveal plus we’ll have THREE giveaways. Lots of fun things that you won’t want to miss!

Owl Always Be Your Friend

Happy Saturday!
I am SO excited to share today’s card. It features brand new DeNami Design images that will release on July 1st. We have been working very hard on this new collection, and we are thrilled that it’s almost time for them to release! If you’ve been following the DeNami blog, you’ve seen some of the great designs coming your way. Is anyone else excited?
Today we’re featuring the new Apples & Pears. Who knew that fruit could make a person so happy? I have created many, many cards with these images, but I can’t reveal them all yet. ;) For this card I wanted to bring together the apples with the owls. Owls have been quite popular in the stamping world, but I never got into them because I didn’t find any I liked. Boy was I excited when I saw these little guys! They are so adorable and whimsical!
Be sure to stop by the DeNami Design blog for a look at more samples with these stamps. Each of the design team members will be contributing to different collections- there are some really fab cards in the next few days!
Thanks for spending some time with me. In case you missed my June Ramblings post, I posted it a few days ago. Hope you’ll check it out!

Papertrey June Blog Hop

Hello, sweet blog friends!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve joined in on a Papertrey Blog hop. In between my busyness and the hard themes, I wasn’t able to play along. However, I wanted to make it a point to really try for it this month. Yay for achieving this goal!
This month the theme was Papertrey Color Combinations. It was such a hard decision but I chose: Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet and Dark Chocolate. This color combination is super fresh and I think the colors go together beautifully. I decided to keep the design of this card really simple- I wanted the colors to really shine through. I used my new EK Success Bracket Edger punch for the pretty edge. LOVE IT!
I’m so excited to see what others created for the blog hop. I know there is going to be some fabulous color combos to see!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today- I’ll see you tomorrow with a new card featuring some BRAND NEW DeNami stamps! :)

Elegant Flourish

Good morning!
It’s been a crazy couple days since I’ve been home. I jumped right back into work and have been going non-stop since. Got almost caught up on 5 days worth of work, but now I’m moving all my energy towards the new release/ sneak peeks and classes. If you haven’t checked out the sneak peeks on the DeNami Design blog yet, be sure to do so! There are some really great images in this new collection!
Today’s card features some beautiful and elegant images. These designs are so beautiful and classic- you don’t have to worry about them “going out of style”. I used one of my favorites, Decorative Flourish, to create the background- super easy! I then added touches of Crystal Lacquer and sprinkled on some Aquamarine and Bronze glitter.
Here is a picture of Naomi and I at the StampFest show this past weekend. The girlie is so much fun (and funny!). I was so happy that I finally got to meet her!
I’m also SUPER happy that I got to meet fellow DeNami DT member, Ayana! Seriously, if we lived closer I’m sure we would be getting together to stamp often! Ayana is such a sweetheart and boy is she talented! Be sure to stop by her awesome blog!

That’s all for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by! In the next few days I’m crazy busy, but I hope to get a few blog posts in. :) Until next time…..

Go To Sketch Challenge #4

Hi there!
I’m back in Washington….the best place on earth! It was fun visiting Florida, but I couldn’t live there. The humidity was insane and I couldn’t believe how it was sunny one second then pouring rain the next! A little too bi-polar for me. :) I’ll be posting a recap of my trip in the next few days….
Today I’m featuring a sweet card based off the Go To Sketch Challenge #4. I just love this sketch- it’s an awesome design! For this card I decided to pull out some of the Best Friend Chickies. Aren’t they adorable?! I love coloring these girls and then adding some Citrone glitter– the perfect finishing touch!
Have you checked out the first sneak peek over on the DeNami Design blog? I’m so excited about this collection! There is going to be three days of picture peeks then we’ll be featuring some cards with the new designs. Lots of fun things coming up….be sure to stop by everyday!

DeNami Theme Challenge #2

Hello there, sweet friends!

It’s the 20th of the month which means it’s time for a new DeNami Design challenge! This time around it’s a theme, and the theme is Summer or Tropical! Since I rarely create anything tropical, I thought it would be fun to go this route. (Remember, I’m all about a challenge and changing things up!)
For this card I brought out the popular Surfboard Trio. It’s been a few years since I played with it- I forgot how fun it was to use! When I think of Summer or tropical, I always think of bright and happy colors. What better color combo then pinks, greens, yellows and a touch of brown? LOVE them! I love them so much I created 15+ cards in this color scheme. :)
Before I close, I wanted to mention that I got to meet the SWEET Naomi! This girlie is an absolute doll and oh so energetic! I totally clicked with her- seriously would have loved spending the day with her! Be sure to stop by her blog- her posts make me laugh, and she’s uber talented too! :)
Hope you enjoyed today’s card! I hope you’ll stop by the sunny DeNami blog and take a look at the amazing samples by the design team! We’d also love for you to participate in the challenge- there’s a $25 DeNami gift certificate up for grabs!
