Sneak Peek: October 2023 Stencils

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am excited to be back to share a sneak peek of two of the stencils sets coming to the holiday release. The new release is packed full of amazing new products for all of your holiday crafting and includes five new stencil sets! Today I will be using the Layered Christmas Trees set along with the Layered Stocking set.

New release will be available October 11th

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Stencils

My first card uses the Layered Christmas Tree stencil set. This is a three pack of stencils that layer together to create a fun Christmas tree pattern. I decided to use “nontraditional” colors and create my trees in a soft rainbow color palette. I used finger daubers and dye ink for my blending. Once my panel was finished I added a few white splatters with acrylic paint.

Next, I used the new Eyelet Rectangles die to create my base for my trees and sentiment. I ink blended the rectangle with aqua ink and added three rainbow blended trees that I created with the new Tree Cover Plate. Lastly, I used the Sentiment Strips: Christmas stamp set for my sentiment.

For my next card, I used the Layered Stockings stencil set.

I started my card by using the Layered Stocking stencil set to create my card panel. This is a set of three stencils that layer together to create an adorable stocking pattern. I once again used dye ink and finger daubers for my blending. On my third (final) layer I added Ranger Texture Paste in Transparent Gloss over the blended ink to give the cuffs of the stockings a little extra “shine”.

Next, I used the Scallop Frame die to create my frame for the center of my card. I then used the new Build A Stocking die set to create my two stockings for my card. I ink blended the pieces using the same ink as my panel and assembled them with liquid glue. I used a piece of a white flocking transfer sheet to die cut the cuffs to give them a fuzzy texture. I backed my frame with vellum and then attached my two stockings with foam adhesive. Lastly, I used the Sentiment Strips: Christmas stamp set for my sentiment.

Enjoy your day,
Dana
