I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. I kept quite busy with a lot of design team cards, behind-the-scenes blog work and also got carried away with lots of cleaning on Saturday night. Yes, it’s true, this single gal doesn’t do the partying scene but rather keeps herself busy with domestic duties. Don’t I lead a glamorous life? *wink*
Each time I get an email saying there is a new 10 Minute Craft Dash #12 entry, I get giddy. The amount of entries already have been more than usual and the talent packed into those entries is phenomenal. There are still five days left to submit your creations and the DT and I look forward to looking at what you make!
Here is my second take on our current color palette- one of the most favorited color palettes to date. We have had a large amount of Paper Smooches fans join for the first time and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Welcome to all the first-time participants!
Time it took to create: 7 minutes 42 seconds
I received the Word Salad as my very first Paper Smooches set and have enjoyed playing with it. So many fun sentiments in this one! One really can’t go wrong with lots of polka dots in this color palette and a versatile sentiment.
I’ll be back tomorrow with my February Random Loves post. Warning: this one will definitely be living up to its name. Crafty items, beauty items and some surprises along the way. Hope you will join me and list what you are loving right now!
While I am definitely a girly girl, I must admit that I enjoy playing with “boy” stamps occasionally. Putting aside the pinks and purples in lieu of browns and blues was just what I needed to kick-start my creativity again. Sometimes doing a 180* is the ticket to getting everything geared up again. Has anyone else noticed this helps sometimes?
I recently was going through my stamp stash and stumbled across the Friendly Robot, a stamp I haven’t used in quite a while. I forgot how adorable {and fun} this stamp is! How can one resist smiling when stamping with this cutie?
I have been doing a lot of masking in cards recently and couldn’t resist using this technique on this card. How fun are these robots peeking out from all directions? You can use all sorts of stamp designs in the Scallop Circle, the most recent Product Spotlight on the DeNami blog.
For those that entered my Facebook exclusive giveaways, I announced the winners on Wednesday. Thank you to everyone who has liked the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page and helped me reach 500. I have plans to do another giveaway once we reach the next milestone number….every “like” counts! *wink*
That’s going to wrap up today’s post. Off to go get 10 Minute Craft Dash sponsorships started for the last part of the year, lots of crafting done and hopefully a video or two filmed. I hope you have a productive Friday, too!
If it were possible, I would give each and every person who visited my blog yesterday a hug. You all have BLOWN ME AWAY with how you have spread the word about my blog, your heartfelt emails and sweet comments. Yesterday was officially the highest amount of visits in the five years I’ve been blogging to date. Here’s to another big milestone….Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Today’s card is dedicated to all of YOU!
I have to admit, I am so happy with how this card turned out. The bright and happy colors are really making me look forward to Spring and all of the glittery flowers just make me swoon. Does anyone else wish that glittery flowers were real? If anyone sees some, let me know. *wink*
If you’ve followed my blog for a little bit, you know that I am in love with my Martha Stewart Picket Fence punch. Yesterday I created more cards and yes, you may see it again on more cards soon. Right next to my scallop punches, this one is next on my “must have” list.
I hope that you all have a wonderful day and can feel the love I’m sending your direction. I am a little bit behind on replying to emails, but if you have written to me, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. It’s been a little hectic working on upcoming sponsorships for the blog and 10 Minute Craft Dash, along with collaborations and other things. Lots of fun stuff brewing here on Pretty Pink Posh!
I will talk with you all very soon. Thanks for stopping by!
NOT LISTED: pink, green & yellow cardstock, Martha Stewart Picket Fence punch
Today’s challenge is one I’ve been looking forward to for quite a few months. Not only do we have a fun color palette, we also have a first-time sponsor, who I’ll introduce a little later in this post.
My fabulous DT has created all sorts of lovely inspiration using today’s palette. Seeing their items made me want to create even more things, which you’ll see during the duration of this challenge.
* If you aren’t able to stay within the 10 minutes, you can still link up your item! While it won’t quality for the winner spot, it still might be featured in the favorites!
Now onto the sponsor for this challenge…. Kim from Paper Smooches has graciously offered up a $20 gift certificate for the winner of this challenge. With a huge selection of clear stamps and the brand new steel dies and wood mounted stamps, the lucky winner will have SO much fun shopping!
Not only do we have a fun prize, we also have some special guests joining in this challenge! These gals are talented and I definitely cannot wait to see what they whipped up for this 10 Minute Craft Dash. Here are their links:
Today I’m announcing the 10 Minute Craft Dash #11 Highlights! I just finished watching a few videos that went along with submissions- oh my goodness, I am laughing so hard. Thank you to everyone who not only took the time to participate, but also include a video! Seeing the creative processes is such a hoot and makes me wish we could all craft together!
If you are interested in getting a head start on the next Craft Dash, I have the colors that will be featured on the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page. This is EXCLUSIVE to those who like my page. I hope to see you tomorrow for the new challenge. We have a first time sponsor who is VERY popular in blog land, along with inspiration from my DT AND some special guests. I heard there is also a video somewhere in the mix….you definitely won’t want to miss out on the fun!
Thank you for joining me today and continuing to spread the word on the 10 Minute Craft Dash. Seriously, seeing new names come up on each challenge from all across the globe is one of the best things ever. I wonder what new states, cities and countries will appear next time!
Today’s a fun day for me- I’m doing a special feature over on the DeNami Addict blog! Basically, this feature showcases some must-have crafting tools and reasons on why the blogger loves it. Easy enough, right? Wrong. I had the hardest time choosing what I wanted to feature!
After pondering for a few weeks, I finally decided I wanted to share my love of my Big Shot machine with all of you. I hope I didn’t scare you away…..I know it’s a pricey item. I want to share all of the reasons I LOVE my machine and how it’s been an investment I wish I made sooner.
Below is a card that uses a decorative shape I die cut, and dry embossed with a folder. These simple little additions change up the card and add texture and elegance in just a few easy steps.
Since I’ve been on a roll with filming videos, I have another new one to share showcasing my Big Shot machine, the different ways I use it and a brief peek at my die storage.
Thank you for letting me share with you all today. Be sure to head on over to the DeNami Addict blog– I posted five reasons why I love my Big Shot machine. I hope you’ll consider purchasing a die cut machine- it will change your crafting life forever. :)
Each of you mean so very much to me- I’m grateful for those who have followed me since the beginning, and those who just found my blog recently. Your words of encouragement, blog comments and viewership mean a lot to me.
As promised, I have a more light-hearted post to share today. There are less than three days left to join in the 10 Minute Craft Dash #11 and I wanted to bring you a little more inspiration using this theme. Since today is THE day of love, I wanted to load it up with all sorts of hearts and tons of girlie elements.
Time it took to create: 9 minutes 37 seconds
If you watched my haul video, you saw that I just got the Shadow Ink Cup O’ Joe pad. I must say, I really do like it. I still haven’t played much with the pink colors- I’ll keep you posted on my thoughts of those soon.
I was so inspired by Jess’ video that I wanted to create one for you today. Two videos in a week? Wow! Sadly, I got this idea after work and well, the lighting is not that great. Hopefully you can still enjoy it though!
I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and video. If you get a chance, the DT and I would love for you to join us in the 10 Minute Craft Dash #11. Remember, you only need to set aside 10 minutes in your day AND you’ll get a workout in there, too! *wink*
From the outside looking in, I may seem put together and have what seems to be a perfect life. I run a successful blog, have a “dream job”, get to travel to different locations and attend shows and meet various people, have a perfect family, a supportive church…. on the outside, yes, this may seem perfect to those who don’t know me. I don’t try to put on a show, by any means, but I suppose to the outsider it looks like things are going well in my life.
Dig a little deeper and there is a whole slew of pains, issues and challenges that I go through regularly. Back in August, I have a pretty major car accident {post here} that changed my life. One would think that life would be back-to-normal now, but it isn’t. I still deal with reoccurring physical pains and complications, health conditions that have changed since the accident, and I haven’t been behind the wheel successfully in a long, long time. I haven’t ever had a panic attack until recently and boy, they are not fun.
In the next few weeks, there will be a lot of changes in my life and if I’m being honest, I’m worried. The people who regularly give me rides will be gone and I’m needing to figure out transportation for the next month. How will I get to the various places I need to go? {I live in a rural area and buses don’t come out this far}
It’s actually more than even this…. will I ever be able to drive by myself again? Will I be able to go through the rest of my life without pain? Will I get back to “normal” again? Will even the mere thought of driving alone not terrify me? Will I find someone who accepts my physical issues and love me despite them? Granted, the last one is not something I should even think about right now, but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t crossed my mind.
I KNOW that I serve a God who is faithful and can allow good things to come from horrible tragedies and circumstances. I KNOW that God has a plan in all of this. I KNOW that I have people around me that love and support me. I KNOW that my God loves me and isn’t purposely allowing this to make my life horrible.
Am I still worried out of my mind at how everything will work out these next few weeks, months and years? Absolutely. I can’t and won’t deny that. Do I believe that God will work it all out in His perfect plan? Yes.
I have and always will try to be transparent with you all. On the other side of this blog, there’s a girl who is ordinary, has been going through struggles and is still trying to figure out her place in this great big world we live in.
Even though I haven’t fully conquered my worrying state of being, I’m trying. I do know that it doesn’t change anything if I worry or not- how is it that I still let it take control? It’s horrible for my health, doesn’t help my mental state and it really is just a roller coaster for my emotions. Blog friends, let’s try to tackle this nuisance called worry together.
Are you struggling with worry in some area of your life? Have you overcome worry in the past? If you feel like sharing, I would love to hear your story. You can leave a comment or send me an email.
That’s pretty much my heart on a platter right now. I hope that I didn’t scare too many of you away with how personal I get sometimes. This is me: real.
The next time I write, I’ll be back with a more chipper crafty post. Promise.
It’s a new year and that means trying new things, right? Today I’m bringing you something new…..I’m sharing my very first haul video & post!
I posted on Friday that I just became an Ellen Hutson affiliate and boy, have I been shopping over there a lot this past week. I didn’t realize how extensive their inventory was! They have so many of the things I purchase regularly and of course, many things that I’ve been eying for quite some time.
Below is the video I put together {combining three separate purchases I did}. If you want any of the things to the products, I’ll be posting that at the end of this post.
That’s a wrap for this post. What do you think of haul videos? Do you enjoy them, or are they something that you avoid? This whole thing was a “tester” to see if you like it, and if I could pull one off. Honest thoughts would be great! After all, I want to continue to bring you things that you enjoy and want to see!
And now, here are the links to the products that were shown in the video:
Welcome to the last stop of the Adorable Animals Blog Hop! If you started from the beginning, you should be coming from Larissa Heskett’s blog. Hasn’t this hop been full of adorable creations? I just love this theme!
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I needed to create a card from my parents. After pondering all of my different animal options, I decided to use the Owls stamp set. I haven’t used the Open Box for quite a while, so I wanted to use that somehow with the owls. Since there are five kids, my two parents and my brother-in-law, I thought bringing them altogether on this card would be cute.
I actually pulled out quite a bit of neglected items on this card. {links to products below} Isn’t it fun to use items that you haven’t used in a while? I forgot how much I enjoyed using some of these things!
Thank you so much for hopping along, this is the last stop! If you missed any of the stops, or you are just starting, be sure to visit the DeNami blog and get all of the details. There are some gift certificates up for grabs- who doesn’t enjoy a little shopping spree?
I will see you all tomorrow for my very first haul video/ post. I’ve been picking up a lot of goodies and I can’t wait to share them with you!
NOT LISTED: aqua & green papers, saddle stitch red ribbon
