Hello Pretty Pink Posh friends! Shannon here, so happy to join you today for part of the Easter Theme Week! For my card today I used the adorable new Easter Friends stamp set to create a cute shaker card.
To start my card off, I used a light blue A2 sized card based and stamped the patterned Easter eggs in the stamp set in the same colored ink all over for a tone on tone background. Moving on to the fun shaker area, I used the Scallop Circle die with some purple card stock to cut out my circle, I also die cut a piece of fun foam with a die to use as my dimension to create my shaker piece, however you can use foam adhesive, I just didn’t feel like cutting it down into thin strips and I prefer that the fun foam is a little thinner. Once I had my acetate attached to my scallop circle along with my foam for dimension it’s on to adding all the sequins and elements.
I wanted to be able to see the background of my card through the shaker, which makes it a little trickier to add the elements without a backing, what I find easiest is to put something heavy on the card to hold it down and then place all the sequins and seed beads in a small area where you want the shaker piece and then adhere the shaker element right on top. For my shaker I used the Hydrangea beads, Lilac beads, Clear Confetti mix , 3mm Sparkling Clear sequins and I also added a few colored Easter eggs in there that I colored in with Copic markers and cut out using the coordinating dies from the stamp set.
I stamped my cute little Easter bunny and the rest of the images on white card stock, colored in with Copic markers and cut out again using the coordinating dies. I adhered my images onto my shaker element and stamped my sentiment to finish my card off!
I hope you enjoyed my Easter shaker card created with the adorable new Easter Friends stamp set. Thank you so much for joining me today!
Hello and welcome to Pretty Pink Posh! Lisa here today sharing a card for our Easter Theme week using Easter Blessings Stamps and Dies. I have a step by step tutorial that shows just how simple this card was to make!
To begin, cut an opening in a card base and patterned paper using the Stitched Duo 3 Die.
With the card base closed, draw a light pencil line along the bottom open edge. Open the card and stamp your sentiment.
Next you will need two die cut crosses. Color one then adhere the blank one to the back of it. This covers any marker color that seeps through. When this card is open, the back of the cross will show on the inside.
Sandwich the cross between two pieces of clear acetate. I used a thin layer of spray adhesive on the back of the cross. Use your stamped sentiment as a guideline for the cross placement. Add the acetate layers to the card base front.
Adhere the patterned paper to the front of the card.
Stamp just the lily blooms several times then fussy cut them. Add them to the card front along with a sprinkling of Sweet Pea Sequins.
And there you have it! Something extra special for the recipient that didn’t take long at all!
Be sure to join us everyday this week for more Easter inspiration in a variety of styles from the design team. Thanks for joining us today!
Hi crafty friends! Lexa here today with a card for Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme Week. It will be so much fun, stay tuned for more amazing inspirations everyday this week.
A few days ago Paulina shared an amazing idea she saw by Heather. She created flower petals with the vase from Friends Forever Stamp Set. I really was in awe so I couldn’t wait to try it too and it turned out so cute! I added 6mm Clear Droplets in the center of each flowers. I choose springy candy colors for my card in pink, lilac and yellow. The little girl with bunny ears is carrying a basket full of eggs from Easter Friends Stamp Set as the star of this card.
I started my card with some background blending use Distress Inks and a stencil. Then I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. The purple Scallop Frames is a perfect way to keep your images in place. I mix the Easter Friends with Easter Blessings Stamp Set, a piece of burlap, a beautiful cross and “Easter Blessings” sentiment to complete my card.
Last but not least, I add some Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix to finish my card. You will never have enough sequins in your life, especially this one, I’ve been using this a lot. Here’s a closer look of my card…
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to join us everyday this week for more Easter inspiration. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
We are excited to be participating in a blog hop hosted by A Blog Named Hero. They are celebrating their fifth anniversary and since we have previously sponsored their challenge, they invited us to join in the festivities this weekend for their two day blog hop packed full of prizes and inspiration!
Today the talented Jeanne has created a special card for this occasion. I always adore the way Jeanne creates vibrant and fun backgrounds and this card is no exception. She used the Stitched Borders 3 die set and die cut the wide strip in a variety of colors. Imagine all the fun color combinations you could do with this concept!
Celebrations to me mean bright colors, confetti and balloons. The star confetti was made with stars from the Mini Tags die set cut from gold glitter paper. If you don’t want bulkiness or too much height, these little die cuts are a great way to get some sparkle onto your projects.
The little girl and balloons are from the new Friends Forever set and the sentiment is from the Everyday Greetings set. These sets are quickly becoming a favorite for many and it’s easy to see why- they are just so fun and versatile!
The little bow at the top is part of the Twine and Bows die set. This is such a unique set and if you like the look of bows, but maybe aren’t the best at making perfect bows, or again, don’t want to add bulkiness to your card, this set is a MUST HAVE!
If you get lost on the blog hop, head over to the A Blog Named Hero blog for all the links.
A Blog Named Hero is so thankful for our wonderful sponsors and collaborating companies! Several companies decided to help us celebrate our fifth anniversary with giveaways and they were so generous that we decided to spread the love over both hop days with different prizes to be won each day! Giveaway prizes total more than $400! To win, leave a comment on each hop stop before 11:59 PM EDT on Tuesday, March 28th and winners will be announced on March 30th on the ABNH blog. Today is the start of the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop, and Pretty Pink Posh is one of the sponsors of this fun event. We also have a giveaway here on the blog as well, so make sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post to find out how you can win some goodies!
To begin, I first drew a cup image using my pencil.
Next, I used my Gansai Tambi watercolor to create some very simple flowers for my cup.
Next, I watercolor the cup. For the card base I watercolored the background using Tim Holtz Distress inks in Tattered Rose and Mustard Seed. Then stamped the sentiment from Friends Forever stamp set.
Next, I die-cut the whole card panel using the new Stitched Notes dies and added some foam tape on the frame for added dimension. As for the girls on this set they were colored with Copic markers. To finish the card, I added the new Friendship Sequins Mix.
Want to win these stamp sets, coordinating dies and embellishments? Enter below!
We hope that you enjoyed today’s card and feel inspired to create coffee cards for the blog hop. We’ll be back tomorrow with a special post- see you then!
Hello Everyone, Joni here sharing another way to use the Easter Blessings and Easter Friends stamp set as a non – Easter card. For this project, I also used the Bee Friends and Everyday Greetings stamp sets. If you missed the March release, the Bee Friends stamp set were part of the free gift if you spend $80 and if you spend $125 you also get the die set, really cool deal.
To begin I first gather all my images and colored them with Copic Markers. I also used the coordinating dies.
Next, distressed my card panel with Tim Holtz Distress inks in Scattered Straw and Evergreen Bough. Next, I die-cut my panel with the new Stitched Notes dies. Then, stamped my sentiment “get well soon” from Everyday Greetings stamp set with Color Box in Ocean pigment ink. Then, added the Clear Embossing powder on top of the sentiment and heat set.
I just want to show you the color after embossing, really nice light aqua.
Next, I added some gold splatter using Gansai Tambi Starry Colors on the distressed panel. I also added the bee trail image from the Bee Friends stamp set. For added interest and another way to use the Daffodil Seed Beads, I put a chunk of Multi Medium Matte on the bottom of the panel and adhered the seed beads there. Just wait for a few minutes because the glue should dry.
Today we have a special post by Lori Hairston, one of the guests in our March blog hop. She showed me a picture of these handmade baskets that don’t require a fancy die and I knew we had to showcase it here on the blog.
Let’s take a look at her post and video, shall we?
Hi, there! I’m happy to be here to share these mini Easter picnic baskets. So fun to make and they turn out adorable, especially when topped off with that sweet little bunny from the Easter Friendsstamp set! The bunny and egg are cut out with the coordinating dies and the tag is part of the Stitched Notes Dies.
What is it about Easter baskets? I’ve always loved them. When I was little I used the same one every year. One that was passed down from my uncle. My daughter, Lauren, used the exact same Easter basket and I’m keeping it for Louisa. She’ll be the fourth generation to use it. It’s old, it’s worn, but I love it!
I’ve sized these to hold 2 plastic eggs. Even though they’re mini, they’ll hold plenty to give as an Easter treat.
You can check out the video to see how easy the baskets are to make and there’s a couple of quick tips on the tag, too.Click the graphic below to watch it!
Louisa (even though she’s only 4 1/2 months old) is definitely getting one of these. Her momma can keep it and put it out every year. If you make an Easter Picnic Basket to give away, I bet it will be loved enough to keep from year to year.
Today we’re in for a special treat. Jeanne is on the blog sharing a sweet card and we’re participating in a mini blog hop with our friends on the CardMaker blog, along with sponsoring a giveaway in this post!
Spring is in the air and everything is new again! Are you checking the new releases in the store? It’s fun and fresh and certain to make you want to start creating! I’m playing with the new Easter Blessings stamp set today! It’s a set of three stamps, and there are coordinating dies to make cutting a breeze!
Today I’m showing the Easter lily stamp. It wouldn’t be Easter without them! Our church always has hundreds of lilies on the altar – the sight and smell is amazing! It’s traditional for me to buy one for my mom every year too! I was so tempted to color up this pretty image in pink – like a Stargazer Lily, but decided the traditional white was the way to go (this time anyway!). I snuck in a little hot pink on the pot so my color lust is satisfied.
I made a simple ombre wash background for the potted lily. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink directly on the watercolor paper and cut the panel with the new Stitched Notes Die.
The Stitched Notes die has stitching on the inside and outside of the die cut line. I really love the size of the die cut! It’s perfect for an A2 size card and leaves just enough edge around the sides to let your colored or pattern papers peek out!
I wanted to repeat the ombre watercolor wash colors on those peeking edges so I created a panel with three shades of aqua.
Some Sparkling Clear Sequins are like dew drops for our pretty flowers! This image brings back lots of great memories and has me pining for one of my own. Until they are back in season I will be satisfied with this pretty stamp!
As we mentioned earlier, we’re taking part in a mini blog hop and we’re the last stop. Here’s all the stops:

Hello everyone, Eloise here and today I have a fun card using the Bee Friends stamp set. This stamp and die set is available through the month of March with qualifying purchases (it will be available for purchase starting in May 2017). You will receive the stamp set if you spend over $80 and the die set if you spend over $125. This is before shipping and taxes and also while supplies last. This stamp set is super fun and I encourage you to try and get this stamp set while you can.
Along with using the Bee Friends stamp set I’m going to be doing the Bubble Watercolour technique as I like to call it, and this is just something I remembered doing in primary school. You mix water, dishwashing liquid and paint, or liquid watercolour as I’m using today, mix together, blow bubbles using a straw and press your paper on top and it creates an amazing bubble watercolour look. It’s super fun and gives amazing and different results every time.
To begin my card today I’m starting off with my background. To do this technique your going to need a bowl – I’m using a large round bowl that’s not very deep and this worked great. Some water, dishwashing liquid, liquid watercolour – I’m using Dr. PH Martins in the video, but Distress Re-Inkers or other Dye Ink Re-Inkers should work great here too or any other liquid watercolour and of course, a straw and watercolour paper.
I first filled my bowl around 1/3 of the way with water, added quite a bit of dishwashing liquid, since I want there to be lots of bubbles and I then blew bubbles into the water, using my straw. Once I had lots of bubbles, I dropped some of my liquid watercolour on top. You typically want your watercolour to be quite liquid-y. Since mine was a bit thick at first, it popped the bubbles and didn’t give me the look I wanted. I tried again once I got rid of the thick watercolour and then pressed my paper onto the top of the bubbles, lifted up and heated it with my heat tool. You should be able to see here the startings of the watercolour look. The lighter colour I used wasn’t giving me the results I wanted, so I took a darker blue and repeated the process and got great bubbly results. I absolutely love this, I can’t wait to do this more! Once I repeated the steps and got to where I wanted it, I dried it completely with my heat tool and moved onto my images.
I stamped out all my images using the Bee Friends stamp set and used Copic Markers to colour them in. Bee’s are so easy to colour, I love colouring any size of image – but this is just so quick and easy, it’s so nice for it to be fast once in a while. Once all my images were coloured I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Once my images were ready I could assemble my card. I used the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment from the same Bee Friends stamp set and stamped it with black ink onto my background.
I used the Stitched Notes die set and used one of the angled dies in the set and die cut the bottom of my watercoloured panel to create a fun angle. I then used foam tape to adhere my panel onto my card base. I then used foam tape and liquid adhesive to adhere my bee’s into place. Then for a finishing touch I used a Wink of Stella brush pen to give my bee’s some sparkle and then scattered some Sparkling Clear Sequins on top of my card.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and will give this technique a try. It’s a little messy, but it’s super fun! This technique would be absolutely perfect for an ocean themed card, but still works great for a sky themed card, since the little bits of white showing through looks like clouds.
