November Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Hello there! It’s Marge here, one of the newer PPP social media designers. I hope you are enjoying our new November release.

Today I’m so excited to share my cards featuring Winter Woodland Stamp and coordinating dies set from our new November Release. The critters in this set are so adorable and they go very well with our previous release stamps sets such as Woodland Critters set. But today, I only used Winter Woodland sets.

To begin, I stamped Winter Woodland Stamp Set on a copic friendly cardstock, then colored them using copic markers, and then cut them using Winter Woodland Coordinating Dies. To make the snow on the log look dimensional, I applied snow marker on it, and added Diamond Stickles to it.

For the first card, I wanted to creat a warm winter scene, so I sponged a piece of A2-sized Bristol paper with some a peach colored dye ink and distress inks (Dried Marigold, Tattered Rose, and Squeezed Lemonade). I splatterd water onto it, and let it dry,

Then I cut another A2-sized panel using Window Frames Dies to make a round window frame.  To make a snowy hill, I picked out a wave-shaped die from our Stacked Edges 1 Dies, and cut a piece of white cardstock, then colored it using grey copic markers and Diamond Stickles on the top to give it some sparkling look.

To make a tag, I die cut Stitched Pieces Die from a red cardstock, stamped sentiment from our new Holiday Greetings Stamp Set, and tied a natural colored string.

After all the elements are done, I assembed them to build a whole card. First, I put the snowy hill onto the colored panel, adhered two mommy and baby critters, covered it with round window frame, and adhered a bough, rabbit and tag, all using foam tapes to give the card some dimensional look.

Finally I added our new Sparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins Mix, then put some 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins onto the background as well as Snowflake Sequins to make the snowflakes look prettier, and Metallic Gold Confetti Mix.
 

For my second card, I sponged a piece of A2-sized Bristol paper with distress inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, and Scattered Straw), splattered water onto it, and let it dry.

I then stamped small snowflakes, and heat embossed them using white embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Greetings Stamp Set, and also heat-set it using clear embossing powder. Then I adhered critters images here and there to make a warm winter scene. I adhered the panel onto a card base, and added some  Sparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins Mix and Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix as final embellishment.

November 2017 Product Reveal + Release Bundles

Sneak Peek: November Die Cuts

Today I’m excited that we have Yoonsun on the blog sharing a look at two of our new dies releasing on November 1st. Plus, you get another stunning sample using the new Wild Rose stamp set!

To create this card:
1. Cut white card stock to 4 ¼” x 11” and create a side-fold card.
2. Cut watercolor paper to 5 ½” x 4 ¼” using rectangle panel die.
3. Stamp flowers and leaves from the Wild Rose set on watercolor panel using dark brown pigment ink.
4. Watercolor the stamped images & background with Distress inks and water brush.
5. Die cut the word “Thank you Script” from white card stock.
6. Mount the watercolored flower panel on white card base using double-sided tape. Add the “Thank you” die cut on the centre of the panel using fine tip glue pen.
7. Embellish with a few Metallic Gold sequins to finish it off.

On this next card, Yoonsun shows off the new Joy Shaker in a holiday card and also brings out some “older” Pretty Pink Posh products. When we design products, we always keep in mind how you can mix and match our new and old items and this card is proof that it can happen seamlessly!

To create this card:
1. Ink blend on watercolor paper panel with some Distress inks: Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans, and Seedless Preserves.
2. Die cut the Joy Shaker from white card stock five times, and then stack them up using fine tip glue pen.
3. Die cut stitched scalloped border from white card stock using the Stitched Borders 2 Die.
4. Stamp & Watercolor polar bear, eskimo girl from the Winter Wonderland set, then die cut them with the matching dies.
5. Stamp & Watercolor two Christmas birds from the Christmas Friends set, then die cut them with the matching dies.
6. Die cut a bow from red card stock using the Twine and Bows Dies.
7. Mount the ink blended panel on white card base using double-sided tape first, and then added white ink splatters.
8. Add all elements as shown to the card front using foam tape.
9. Add Sparkling Clear Snowflakes & 3mm Sparkling Clear sequins using glossy accents to finish it off.

Sneak Peek: Winter Woodland

Hello Pretty Pink Posh Friends! Suzy here and I’m so excited that the newest PPP release is being debuted this week and I’m especially excited that I get to show you the new Winter Woodland Stamp Set. It is such a cute winter set that is perfect for the holidays!

I have two cards to share with you today using this set combining it with some of the other new produts from this release. The stamp set has a matching Winter Woodland Coordinating Die set as well.

I started this card using the Stacked Edges 1 Dies to create snowbanks with white watercolor paper as the card base. I painted the top piece with a wash of light blue paint as a sky.

I stamped all of the cute animal images and branch with holly leaves with black ink on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I added some shading and details with a white gel pen and glitter pens. I attached them over the sky and on the snow bank.

Next, I used a salutation from the new Holiday Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped it on the left top corner of the card front using Versmark Ink and embossed it with red embossing powder. I finished the card with some of the new Sparkling Clear Snowflakes. I used white Tonic Nuvo Drops to attach them so they each have a white drop in the center.

I started this card with a stitched rectangle die-cut from watercolor paper. I wanted to do a single layer card, so I stamped the images directly on the front of the watercolor paper with black ink with a light tan ink. I painted the background in first with a gray blue watercolor for the sky and a green watercolor for the grass.

I painted the cute little woodland animals in with watercolors as well adding details with glitter pens. I painted the branch and extended it on the left side by about an inch. After they were all painted, I wanted them to have light outlines, so I drew around them with a fine tip black marker. This allowed me to outline that extra part of the branch and add borders around the grass.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on the top of the card with brown ink. I added some white Tonic Nuvo Drops over the snow on the log and red over the berries to make them dimensional. I also used a white gel pen on the center of each berry. Last, I added some more of the Sparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins around the background using white Nuvo Drops in the center of each.

I enjoyed using this stamp set so much that I made five cards with it! I’ll be blogging a “one stamp, five ways” showing the three additional cards later this week so come visit! Thanks so much for visiting the PPP blog today and have a great week friends!

Sneak Peek: Sparkle Dot Patterns 1

Good morning! Heather here to share a sneak peek at a few of the FABULOUS new stamps and dies that will be releasing at Pretty Pink Posh very soon! In particular, I’m spotlighting the creative new Sparkle Dot Patterns 1 Stamp Set – you are going to love what you can do with this stamp set! I used it to create that fabulous heart element on my card here.

First of all, I created a simple watercolor wash in a soft blue, then once that dried, I stamped the heart from Sparkle Dot Patterns 1 Stamp Set in Versamark Ink. I used black, but if you are planning on using smaller sequins or Nuvo drops or something along those lines, I suggest using a soft colored ink that won’t show as much. I wanted it nice and crisp and visible for my card today.

Next up I used some Metallic Gold Confetti Mix to fill in my heart. I added tiny dots of Ranger Multi Medium Matte glue with a fine tip, then used a Jewel Picker to add the confetti. I chose to use the medium size of the confetti – it was the perfect size! Now – it is absolutely fun just like that, but I have been loving adding Nuvo drops to the center of confetti lately, so I filled in the centers of each with some Ripened Pumpkin Gloss Nuvo Drops. It ends up looking like enamel drops with a pretty gold ridge around the outside edges! So fun!

While all that dried, I stamped, colored, and die cut the cute little foxes from another new set, Winter Woodland. (sorry for the one upside down Copic marker – didn’t notice it until now!)

I also used the gorgeous new Thank You Script Die and cut out both a black and white version. I then adhered them together with a glue pen slightly offset, so that the black shadow peeks from behind and helps it pop a little more on my finished card.

Once the heart dried, I adhered the large Thank You, added the foxes with foam adhesive, and added the little tag to the sentiment using the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp Set and masking off part of the sentiment. I also added a few hearts from that set randomly stamped on the card front, and finished off by matting with orange cardstock and mounting on a blue cardbase.

Do you see the fun dimension you get on this? And everyone will wonder how you got your sequins or drops so evenly spaced on your heart! Can’t wait to share more projects I’ve made with this fun stamp set!

Sneak Peek: Wild Rose

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing products from the new upcoming November 2017 release from Pretty Pink Posh. Today I’m highlighting the Wild Rose stamp set and Wild Rose coordinating dies.

 

For this first card, I stamped the images with Lawn Fawn Doe dye ink and colored it with Copic markers, then die-cut with Wild Rose Coordinating Die.

Next, I created my background using strips of double sided tape and cover it with glitters for accent. Then adhered the die-cuts with foam tape for dimensions.

Then, I stamped the sentiment “you are amazing” from Everyday Greetings stamp set on gray cardstock using versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I added some Sparkling Clear sequins to finish it off.

For my next card I created more on a bright side.

To begin, I colored the images with reds and pinks Copic markers then die-cut.

For this card I also used the new Thank You Script Die. After die-cutting from white cardstock I then colored the die-cut thank you with Copics and the rest adhered at the back of the colored one.

Next, I distressed the card base and added some dots using Copic markers. Then adhered the pieces together and added some new Berry Bright Mix to finish of this card.

Christmas Angel Action Wobble + Video

Hello Pretty Pink Posh fans! This is Yana and today I am sharing a video tutorial showing how to create a Clean & Simple interactive Christmas card with the Angel Friends stamp set.

I started working on my project by stamping two angels, two halos and a banner onto white cardstock using alcohol marker friendly ink. Just to be safe I stamped images twice and also used my mini MISTI and double stamped them to have the blackest black outline possible.

Using a few Copics I did some rather quick and basic coloring. I went with reds, yellows and blues for my color combo and used the following markers: R20, R22, R24, R27, R39 and R89 (to color angel’s dresses, banner and to add blush); Y17, Y15 and Y11 (to color angel’s hair), E00 and E000 (to color skin) and finally B000 to color wings and collars on dresses.

I cut images out using coordinating dies and heat embossed “Joy To The World” sentiment in white embossing powder onto my red colored banner. I made sure the ink from my Copics was dry on the banner die cut before I heat embossed anything as I didn’t want to mess up the coloring. I also curver my sentiment slightly to follow the curve of the banner (be sure to watch my video to learn how to do this).

The design of this card is very simple and whenever I make simple cards like this I use a few tricks to make my cards stand out. First, I like to use woodgrain cardstock for the front on my card. When there’s a lot of white space on the card this cardstock looks like a star and adds a lot to the card designs. Second, I added a bit of interactivity to this project by using wobble springs to attach the angels. You can use foam adhesive, but using mini wobblers allowed them to move on my card and added a bit of “wow” to the overall card design.

Finally, I embellished my project using the metallic gold confetti mix the Crystal Katana tool. Happy cardmaking!

Creating A Pop-Up Card

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a Pop-Up card for you guys, but this time it’s on the inside of the card. So it’s a little fun and unique for a Halloween Card! I’ll also be using the Storybook 1 Die along with a few other die sets and the new Trick or Treat Friends set for my card.

To begin, I stamped out my images, coloured them in with Copic Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then pulled the Storybook 1 Dies out and cut them out of a piece of white Cardstock. I then used the Stitched Notes Dies to die cut around the Storybook dies. While I was die cutting, I also cut the Picket Fence die from Black Cardstock. I then added foam tape onto the back of my Storybook frame and adhered it to the middle of a piece of purple plaid cardstock from Lawn Fawn.

Next up I used Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet and Carved Pumpkin to ink blend each of the three pieces that came from inside the Storybook die. I then splattered them with some water, picked up the excess and dried it with a heat tool. I then stamped ‘Hi!’ from the Everyday Greetings stamp set onto the orange piece and then adhered down all three pieces inside the Storybook die. I then used some of the images I has previously cut and coloured and adhered them onto the front of my card. Then the front panel was complete. Now it was time to work on the pop-up feature on the inside.

For the pop up panel on the inside I first cut a piece of watercolour paper down to 3″ by 5 1/2″. I used the Stitched Borders 1 dies to cut the top at a curved edge. I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to colour the piece and then I scored it. On the long edge, I scored the piece at 2 3/4″ and on the short side I scored it at 2 3/4″ also. Then I folded the piece directly in half and cut a small triangle from the bottom to the centre score line, just so when I adhere and fold it into my card – it sits nice and flat.

I next added pieces of scor tape onto the flaps then pulled off the backers, lined up the score line on the pop up piece with the score line of the side folding card base, adhered down one side first, then folded the other side down with the flap facing up, then pressed the front of the card base down onto the flap. This ensures that everything will lay flat and work perfectly. Then I needed to work on my sentiment. I cut apart the ‘Happy Halloween’ sentiment from the Trick or Treat Friends set so it was in a line. I white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock that I cut each end at an angle on. Then I lined it up in my scoring tool and scored at the half way mark, which was 2 1/4″ for me. Then I flipped it over, added two small strips of acetate onto the back and then adhered it down onto my pop up grassy piece. This made the sentiment pop up as well as the hill piece.

To finish up, I adhered the rest of my images onto the inside of the card, then added coordinating colours of sequins to the front of my card.

Sequins used: 4mm Lavender Moon, 4mm Lime Sorbet, 4mm Tangerine, 6mm Amethyst, 6mm Shamrock, 6mm Pumpkin

I love to give flowers to friends and family.. lots of times they are from my garden, and more often they are on cards that I send so they know I’m thinking of them. My crafty friends are like family, they are so dear to my heart. We have the same things in common – we always want to make each other smile.

Altenew is my favorite place for flowers! They’re well  known for their multi stamp floral images, but more recently they have been releasing innovative stackable dies like these Fantasy Floral 3-d dies.  The flowers are three separate dies that you cut from colored paper and stack. They look great light to dark or dark to light. Flowers on my design today are arranged both ways.

The Altenew Crafty Friends stamp set is a must have for cards for your crafty friends.  The sentiments are a perfect way to celebrate your mutual love of friendship and crafting!

The perfect background for these gorgeous floral blooms is an ombre zig zag border from the Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 1 die set.  The individual strips make a lovely accent when a single strip is added, but when you cut several and stack them together the result is breath taking. The stitched detail adds a crisp, rich detail to your design that looks expensive but is so easy to achieve.

My second card features the Altenew Floral Fantasy stamp set. It’s got two gorgeous multi stamped roses and assorted greenery. The flowers look amazing in any of the Altenew Die Ink colors that come in several shades and are designed to be layered.

The background was created with the Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 1 die set.  This set is a real value because the set includes three dies that you can use individually or to create three background patterns.

Pink and yellow is my favorite floral combination.  I stamped the leaves in different shades of greens to give a more natural look.

This sentiment is also from the Altenew Crafty Friends stamp set. I know we can all relate to this sentiment!

A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets give the flowers a fresh picked look.
