Hello, Pretty Pink Posh fans! This is Yana and today I wanted to share a quick technique video to show you how easy it is to add details to colored images.
I started working on my card by stamping and coloring 3 images from the Friends Forever stamp set. I used Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink for stamping and double stamped images using MISTI stamp positioner to have the blackest black outline possible.
There are coordinating dies available for this set so I cut my images out and quickly colored them using Copics. I used E79, E37 and E33 to color hair; E00 and E000 to color skin; R20 to add blush. To color outfits I used RV14, RV13 and RV10 for pinks; B05, B02 and B000 for blues; YG67, YG17 and YG03 for greens.
While my images looked great as is I decided to add little details to make them unique and a bit more personal. Think about it this way – in real life we all wear fabrics with different patterns. So I wanted to translate some of those patterns onto these images. There are a number of ways this can be done, some are simple, some not so much, I used the most simple and easy way – a white gel pen.
If you don’t have a white gel pen – you can also use a black pen or you can even use a Copic colorless blender to add detail. If you have a colorless blender in a bottle you can look for a piece of fabric with some texture, say burlap, wet that fabric with colorless blender and use it to stamp over the outfits of these images – that will transfer the texture of the fabric onto the image and will create same looking texture on your images.
I used a white gel pen and added little dots, vertical and horizontal stripes. You want to make sure to wait for your Copic coloring to dry, especially if you have really saturated paper with the marker as it (the marker) might eat up your white pen, I’ve had that happen in the past, so before adding the white detail – make sure image is dry.
I ink blended a hill to create a scene and foam mounted my friends on top. I also added little bees from the Bee Friends stamp set I adhered several sequins from the Sparkling Clear Mix and I also added clear droplets on top. I love to combine the two together as this way I feel my droplets look even more dimensional.

It’s time to start our two day Product Release Blog Hop for the May 2017 release. Many of you have already placed orders, but for those who were waiting for more inspiration, today and tomorrow the design team and special guests have all sorts of inspiration to share. Today we have Vera sharing two sweet cards, along with a video!
For today’s post I have projects to share with you featuring the Build A Bloom stamp set along with the coordinating dies. This beautiful stamp set caught my eye and I really want to create a post with it.
There are so many ways you can use with this flowers stamp set. Here, I combined it with the bear from Woodland Critters and the sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings set. I colored with soft pastel colors with alcohol markers.

Ready to hop along and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration with this release?
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. I’m giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before May 17, 2017 at 11:59 PM PST. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
I started off with an A2 size of watercolor card stock and used a light blue Zig real brush water color marker and a water brush to make my sky background. I stamped my images from the Build a Bloom stamp set on a separate piece of white card stock , colored in with Copic markers and cut out using the coordinating dies.
I decided I wanted to create a little scene with these pretty flowers so I thought the Picket Fence die was the perfect set up for that. I cut the fence out of Neenah desert storm card stock and adhered to the bottom of my card panel. I didn’t put any adhesive closer to the top of the fence so that I could slide my flowers under.
I adhered my flowers on my scene sliding the stems under the fence. I added some interest on the flowers with a white gel pen and to finish off my card I stamped my sentiment from the new Thoughtful Greetings stamp set.
That’s it for me today! Hope you enjoyed and are enjoying the new release as much as I am. Have a lovely day!!
Hi there! Laura Bassen here and today I have a couple of fun projects to share using the Distress Oxide Inks along with some Pretty Pink Posh products.
I had so much fun experimenting with the Distress Oxide inks using some of my favorite techniques. Below is a few backgrounds comparing the regular Distress Inks to the Oxide Inks. The top two were simple ink blended backgrounds with flicks of water using Wilted Violet, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio & Fossilized Amber. The Oxide Ink panels are on the right and the regular Distress Inked panels are on the left. The bottom two panels were created using one of my favorite techniques “ink smooshing”. I used Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade & Fossilized Amber. You can see that the results are slightly different. Not a huge difference, but there is a difference.
Then I used the Oxide Ink backgrounds to create a couple of projects. This first card features the Bee Friends stamp set along with the coordinating dies.
I simply colored the images with Copics and popped them up over the “ink smooshed” background and added a few Sparkling Clear sequins to finish it off.
GIVEAWAY: Want to win your own set of 12 Distress Oxide Inks? Paulina is giving one away to one lucky person! Leave a comment on this post sharing your top 3 current favorite crafting products. Comments must be left by May 9th at 11:59pm, PST. Winner will be announced later that week.

Hello Pretty Pink Posh friends! Shannon here, so happy to join you today!
I have a fun shaker card to share with you today featuring some lovely sequins, confetti and seed beads along with the Bee Friends stamp set and coordinating dies.
Okay, so I promise creating the card was not nearly as complicated as I make it sound with my explanation! I started with an A2 size piece of white card stock and die cut the panel with the wavy scallop die from the Scallop Border Dies and die cut a thin piece of white card stock with the straight scallop border from the same die set.
Now I want to adhere these pieces together to make it my shaker window. I did this by laying both pieces over an A2 card base so that I knew exactly the spacing needed before I added strips of card stock to connect the 2 pieces together. I cut two thin strips of paper and adhered one on the top and one on the bottom to create my shaker window area.
Onto creating my scene, I die cut some green card stock with the Scallop Border die to create my grass. I then stamped all my images on a separate piece of white cardstock, colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating dies.
I hope you enjoyed, I had fun creating it and love those bees flying over those pretty flowers. Thank you so much for joining me today!

Hello, Pretty Pink Posh fans! This is Yana and today I wanted to share a quick card using the Woodland Critters set(releases on May 1st) as well as a fun way to add details to colored images using beads.
Woodland Critters stamp set features a number of cute forest animals and a few additional images such as mushrooms and flowers. One of the critters, the hedgehog, is mirrored – there are two identical images facing each other and you can use those for spinner cards – you can have a critter on the front and back of your spinner or just have two hedgehogs looking at each other for a cute love or friendship card.
This stamp set works really well with an older Camping Friends set – many images from both of these complement each other and let you create fun scenes with woodland critters.
Since I love to stamp my own patterns I wanted to show you how you can use critters and create a partial stamped pattern for a simple card.
Watch my video tutorial below to learn how I made this card.
I used Copic markers to color my stamping and I went with:
YG99, YG95 and YG93 to color grass, bird’s wing and butterflies;
E79, E37, E33 and E31 to color bear, deer and hedgehogs;
RV29, R24 and R22 to color mushrooms and bird’s belly;
W3, W5 and a colorless blender marker to color bunnies.
After my coloring was done I foam mounted my colored panel onto an A2 top folding card base made out of white cardstock and embellished my card using beads. I wanted my hedgehogs to carry something on theirs backs, but I didn’t want to add any additional stamped and colored images (you can add mushrooms, apples and even leaves to their backs), I decided I would add beads in red, green and cream colors.
I also added several sparkling clear sequins in different sizes and tied a natural twine bow at the top of my card.
We hope you’ve been enjoying all the sneak peeks of the new sets. Join us tomorrow as we reveal all of the new products that will be available on May 1st.
Hello Pretty Pink Posh Friends! Suzy here and today I get to show you one of the soon to be released stamp sets called Bee Friends. This was the stamp set that came free with an $80 purchase during the last release in March, so you’ve probably seen a few projects made with this darling stamp and die set. During this latest release, it is now up for sale! Today I have three projects to share with you featuring Bee Friends.
If you look close, there are some other sneak peeks on this image as well – three new stand alone die sets: Scallop Hexagon Dies, Scallop Circle Tags Dies, and Scallop Borders 2 Dies. Paulina always knows how to create dies that are irresistible and different than anything else on the market!
This shaker card was made using the new Scallop Hexagon Dies. I die-cut the medium sized hexagon out of the top half of watercolor paper. I painted the front of the card with a yellow and orange watercolor wash. I used foam tape to create a shaker card and filled the opening with the new Mini Sparkling Clear Flower Sequins.
I stamped the images on white cardstock with black ink and colored them all in with Copic markers. I attached them to the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the card with Versamark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Last, I added some more of the Mini Sparkling Clear Flower Sequins around the flowers and some 4mm and 6mm Marigold Sequins around the Hexagon.
This card is made using the new Scallop Borders 2 Dies. I die-cut a stitched rectangle out of watercolor paper and then used a border die along one edge. I stamped and embossed all of the heart images in the stamp set with white embossing powder randomly over this piece. I then water colored it with light blue watercolor. I layered it over a piece of patterned paper that shows along the bottom edge.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and embossed it with blue embossing powder. I cut around the edges and attached it to the front of the card. I then stamped all of the other stamped images on white cardstock with black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I attached them to the front of the card around the sentiment.
I used the new Scallop Circle Tags Dies for this little gift tag. Wouldn’t this be so cute tied to a plant as a gift? I die-cut two tags out of watercolor paper and I painted one of them with blue paint. I die-cut the opening piece out of the center of this one and attached it to the unpainted tag. This gave me white under the opening and also made the tag thicker.
Next I stamped a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set in the opening. I stamped all of the images on white cardstock with black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I layered the flowers around the opening and added a bee on top of the opening. I finished it with some of the new Mini Sparkling Clear Flower Sequins.
Thank you so much for visiting the Pretty Pink Posh blog today! I hope you enjoyed these projects with the new Bee Friends stamp set. I can’t wait for you to see all of the new stamps and dies being released – they are some of my favorite PPP products ever! Have a great week!
