Halloween Mummy

Hello, sweet friends.

It’s Friday and I was contemplating on whether to do a post today, or just wait until the exciting post tomorrow with Ellen Hutson (for World Card Making Day). Alas, I miss blogging often and I thought you might enjoy seeing another card using the new Stitched Tags die set.

You may recognize the layout of this card- it’s similar to the winter penguin card I posted the other day. Isn’t it neat how simply changing out colors and stamps can have a card feeling completely different? These tags are so fun and I honestly cannot wait to start seeing samples from you all!

Pretty Pink Posh

Today’s card features the Friendly Mummy, Halloween Fence and Polka Dot Background from DeNami Design. I had finished the card and then realized that it need something extra- hence adding the Halloween Mix and the Lawn Fawn grass die cut out from black cardstock.

Well, I will keep this post short since I have orders to fulfill and a long post to write for tomorrow. Thanks for stopping in today!

October Products + Giveaway

Many of you have been counting down the days and now it’s here. It’s time for a new release and I may have gone a little overboard on the amount of products this time around. Since I took a break from releasing anything last month, I’m hoping you all don’t mind!

First off, I’m super excited to say that I have two brand new die sets available this month. I love mini tags and the first die set has three shapes that are perfect for tags, cards, or can be used as embellishments. Of course, I had to include the stitching because well, we all know I’m obsessed with it….

Pretty Pink Posh

In this close up photo, you can see the tags a little better. Have I mentioned that I’m a sucker for polka dots? Yup, lots of tone-on-tone polka dots going on here, but I love it. I added the Celery Chevron Twill ribbon at the top of the tags- doesn’t it bring the whole card together?

Just in case you’re wondering what set this penguin and snowflake are from, it’s called Winter Penguin and boy, do I love it. I’ll definitely be using it again.

This next card doesn’t show off any new dies, but it does show off the metallic red sequins that are in the brand new 4mm Classic Christmas mix. I know many of you are prepping for Christmas cards, so I thought I would make this option available. The Christmas mix is a popular one and I’m so happy I could offer it in the popular 4mm size!

The Stitched Duo 1 is still one of my favorites and I had to break it out for this little scene card. I went a little more traditional for the colors, but don’t worry, I’ll be bringing you some whimsical and “non-traditional” Christmas cards in the future! Pretty Pink Posh

It’s hard to tell from the picture, but there’s a glittery snow slope behind Santa. Between that and the sequins on the tree and corners, this card is super sparkly!

I know that these cards don’t show all of the new products, but my video DOES show all the new products, along with peeks at more cards that I created. I’ll be sharing more cards on the blog very soon, and I just might do a new card video too!

Okay, now it’s on to one of my favorite things about new releases….a chance to give something to YOU, my amazing customers and readers. Leave a comment telling me your favorite new product from this month and one person will win the entire release!

Winter Bunnies and More!

Okay, has this month flown by for anyone else? Even though I didn’t do a release this month, I’m amazed at how busy I have been. I’ve been working up a storm designing new dies for the new year, along with working on packaging products for October AND creating samples. It’s been a fun week and let’s just say that my studio is evident of this fact. (In other words, it’s a disaster)

I recently purchased a ton of new stamps and as soon as I finished filming my haul video, I started crafting. Oh my goodness, I have a million ideas stuffed in this brain of mine- I hope I can create at least a small handful of them. Now I know it’s a tad early to share Christmas projects, so I won’t go full on Christmas just yet. I’m still creating Fall, Thanksgiving and everyday cards, but I’ll sprinkle in Christmas cards here and there.

I’m slightly obsessed with the Sparkling Clear sequins I carry- in 4mm, 6mm and 8mm sizes- and I just realized they make the perfect little “snowballs” on cards. Seriously, how cute do these snowballs look with the bunnies from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day set?

Did you happen to notice that I used the Stitched Duo 1 tag and window die? I think it looks so cute with this winter scene and the bunnies!

I mentioned my haul video at the beginning of this post, so I thought I would include it.

I couldn’t close this post until I shared a sneak peek with my blog readers. I shared this photo on my social media sites, but I know that some of you only follow my blog, so I didn’t want you to miss out. Here’s a peek at just a little bit of the new embellishment kit that’s releasing on October 1st.

That’s going to close out today’s post. Whew, there was all sorts of fun stuff in this post! What did you enjoy the most? The card, video, sneak peek? Let me know so I can be sure to keep on bringing more of what you love!

Sea Friends + A Challenge

Have you had a day where you feel incredibly blessed? Lately I’ve been having some battles within myself (the stress of dealing with health issues, worrying about finances, etc…) and know that the stress doesn’t do anything but harm me physically, mentally and emotionally. Despite KNOWING these things, I still let it get to me sometimes. I was having one of those days and then I bumped into a friend at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday. We didn’t chat for long, but it was a familiar face when I needed one. Then later on that day, I received a check in the mail. Granted, it was a small one, but it was the unexpected blessing I needed to know that God still has me in the palm of His hand.

With the craziness of life and the ups and downs I still deal with physically (click HERE for previous updates), I don’t often take the time to sit down and write friends cards. I decided to spend a few hours writing notes to friends and vow to actually MAIL them this week. Today’s card is going to a friend that has become so very dear to my heart. She unexpectedly blessed me with flowers last year (story HERE) and she also happens to be the friend I bumped into this weekend.

Friends are a funny thing. Some friends are with you for just a season, some come in and out of your life for other seasons, and then there are lifelong friends. I have been blessed with a dear lifelong friend, but so many friends have come in and out of my life. Do I sometimes get sad that many of them seem to have gone away since the accident? Absolutely. However, I’m grateful for my lifelong friend and the friends I have in THIS season.

challengeIt’s been a while since I put a challenge out to you, my readers, but I feel like doing one today. Send at least TWO cards to friends, family members or someone who needs a little encouraging today. It doesn’t have to be a super long note, but let’s brighten up some lives this week.

That’s all for me today, sweet friends. I hope your week gets off to a great start!

*I wrote a previous post about “True Friends” that you may enjoy, too. Be warned: it’s a long one.

Sending Smiles + New Products

Good morning and Happy July 1st!

Unfortunately, today isn’t a normal release kind of day. I had fully intended to do my normal new release video/ post, but alas, my voice is almost completely gone and I’m battling dizziness, nausea and a slight fever. As soon as I’m feeling well again, I plan on filming the video and showcasing the new products to you!

In the meantime, I wanted to share a card that I made recently with some of my recent purchases, along with some sequins from the BRAND NEW Summer Mix. I love the bright colors in this mix, but it also comes with the adorable yellow flowers that are on this card. Aren’t they fun?!

ducks2a

Lately I have been into creating grassy “hills” with the curved die from the Stitched Borders 1 set. Not only are they super easy to do, they add so much to your cards and projects! For this card I used the ducks from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby set, along with a bird from Critters in the Forest.

Just in case you want to order the new products (before I get a chance to film the video), here are the different links:

Summer Sequins Mix

Summer Embellishment Kit

8mm Sparkling Clear Sequins

Sunshine, Lagoon, Coral and Lime twine

That’s going to wrap up this post for today. I apologize for the lack of video and the slight delay in orders. Just as soon as I feel better, I’ll be back at work and ship everything out as quickly as I can.

A Little Hello….

Hello, hello!

I wanted to stop in today and share a little “behind the scenes” look as to what I’ve been up to the last few days. I was half tempted to post a picture of my craft studio right now, but I quickly dismissed the idea. It looks like a tornado hit; one table has craft products strewn about (since I’m working on samples for the new release), another table has new products laid out, another table has sequin orders and the last one has a stack of cards that need to be photographed. I already cannot wait to finish my projects so I can clean up a bit!

Despite the craziness, I had to put aside the mess for a bit and get back to what I love…. blogging. It’s this wonderful blog that has provided a gateway for me to start my small business. It’s my AMAZING readers that make all of this possible and have me dreaming bigger. It’s this blog that has allowed me to combine two passions of mine- crafting and writing. Sometimes it’s necessary to put aside the to-do lists and do something you enjoy.

Pretty Pink Posh I Lemonade

For this card, I pulled out two of the smaller Lawn Fawn sets- Make Lemonade and Happy Summer. While I am far from a fan of ants in real life, I thought they looked pretty cute with these lemons. Doesn’t this card make you want a fresh batch of lemonade?  excitingnewsMany have been waiting and I’m excited to let you know that a restock shipment of the sold out dies are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I have entered the stock into my inventory and you can now purchase the dies again. If you’ve been eying them, be sure to get yours soon- these are most likely going to sell out!

Stitched Borders 1 dies

Also, I want to let you know that Simon Says Stamp, Ellen Hutson and MarkerPop will be receiving these dies in very soon, in case you would prefer to order from them.

Pretty Pink Posh I Lemonade

In closing I want to let you know that ALL of my products have been restocked-dies, ribbons, sequins, twines- so if you’ve been waiting to place an order, now is the perfect time. I can’t wait to settle down and start putting together your orders. I know I say it often, but I  am thankful for you all. Truly.

Until next time… sending you all big, big hugs!

Sneak Peek, Update & More!

Hello, sweet friends!

I had hoped to have this post go live yesterday, but this week has been rough on me health wise. On the outside, for those who don’t know me, life may look like rainbows and butterflies for me, but that’s far from the truth. Many of you know that I have been dealing with ongoing health issues since my car accident 21 months ago and recently I’ve hit another rough patch.(The latest health update is HERE) It’s been frustrating, to say the least. I’m going to try eliminating foods again and we’ll see if that helps. Thank you to those who have emailed and sent well wishes in the form of cards and gift cards in the mail or even Paypal donations. It truly means a lot to me.

Okay, enough of those things…. let’s get to today’s card and a sneak peek! This card is one many of you will recognize- I featured it in my April 2014 Craft Favorites video.

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Birds

Lately I have been on this kick of creating “mini scenes” on my cards and these little “windows” are perfect for doing just that. You could do it comic book style and have each square be individual pictures, or you can have the scene go landscape style. Both ways are SUPER cute and you can be sure I’m making lots more cards in this style.

For those who have purchased the 4mm sequins, I hope that you’ve been enjoying them as much as I have been! I LOVE this smaller size and it works well with the 6mm sequins. If you’ve been wanting to order some and you shop at Ellen Hutson, I’m happy to announce that ALL of them are now available there!

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Birds

On my Instagram and Facebook page yesterday, I posted a sneak peek of a card I just made with some new products coming in June. Can you spot anything new from this picture? As we get closer to June, I’ll post more sneak peeks and let you in on something that’s happening on June 5th!

sneakpeek11

I wanted to formally announce the winner of the $25 gift certificate giveaway I hosted last week. The winner was Melissa K. Dehne! I have emailed you Melissa…be sure to check your inbox!

That’s going to do it for this post. Again, thank you to all of you who have sent well wishes and prayers. I am very, very grateful.

Critter Hello

* Oops! This was supposed to go live on Monday…. oh technology!

Happy Monday!

To all of the mothers that read my blog: I hope that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. This year, my family has been busy with various activities, so we opted to have a low-key day together. My sister and brother-in-law came over, my dad made his scrumptious mac & cheese (seriously, this stuff is AMAZING) and then we ended the night we yummy frozen drinks and ice cream. Simply blissful!

I had hoped to take a few days off of work, but on Saturday, I just couldn’t hang up my responsibilities. I finished up a large wholesale order (stay tuned…Ellen Hutson will have ALL of the 4mm sequins very soon!) and also started picking some of the orders that came in from the shop. For those who have ordered, I’m working on packaging as quickly as I possibly can and will ship very soon!

hello1a

Today’s card isn’t fancy, but it IS cute. As I was organizing videos on the Pretty Pink Posh YouTube channel, I realized I hadn’t used my Quinn’s ABCs dies in quite some time. When I first purchased it, I did a video on it (see it HERE) and I thought it was time to break them out again. Oh goodness, I forgot how much I love these dies!

hello1b

Did anyone happen to notice that background stamp? It’s from the Mama Elephant On Point Borders set I recently purchased and boy, do I love it! The raccoon and hedgehog are from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest set and the bird is from the Year Four set.

excitingnewsI better wrap this post up. Right now I’m working on samples for the June release and word is, there’s a new product coming to the shop! Any guesses on what it might be? As we get closer to the date, I’ll start giving you hints and sneak peeks!

New Products + Giveaway

It’s the day many of you have been waiting for…. the 4mm size sequins are now available in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop! You all know I’m a huge fan of sequins, but let me tell you, I have fallen even more in love with sequins now that I’ve been playing with this new size.

In previous months, I’ve released kits, twine and other products, but this month I wanted to focus on sequins. After all, there are quite a few colors and I wanted to give your wallet a little break….until next month!

For today’s card, I wanted to make something for my best friend who is in Japan for a year. With the busyness of life, I haven’t sent her a care package yet, but now that I have a cute card, I’m almost ready to send one. After all, a card IS quite important for us card makers, right? *wink*

Pretty Pink Posh I Elephant Friends

I thought the addition of the new mini sized sequins was perfect. If I had used the large sequins, it would seem overbearing and crowded, but these little ones are simply wonderful on this card. Don’t you think?

In case you’re curious what products I used for this card, here they are: True Friend stamp set, Love You Tons stamp set, Love You Tons dies, Happy Trails stamp set, Stitched Journaling Card die, Grass Border die, Speech Trio dies.

*If you have specific questions on this card, leave a comment and I’ll answer there!

Pretty Pink Posh I Elephant Friends

I filmed a video showing all of the colors in the 4mm size, along with a few comparisons in the sizes. Now if you aren’t a fan of sequins, I don’t have any new products for you this month. However, next month I definitely will!

In case you missed the DT announcement yesterday, I have added three brand new designers to the team. Oh, but that’s not all, I also asked each of the DT members what their favorite sequins  are and I put them together for a little giveaway. This is a great way to try out Pretty Pink Posh sequins, or to add a nice variety to your growing collection! giveaway_1Boy, this week has been packed full of posts and fun! In between all the planning that went involved in the blog hop to prepping for the new release and filming videos, I’m exhausted. After today, I’m taking a few days for myself to rest up, recoup and of course, do a little planning for what’s ahead. I’ll ship orders out as soon as I can!

Who is ready to do some shopping? I cannot wait to pick your orders and see what items caught your eye. Thank you to everyone who has shown your love, support and encouragement. Happy shopping!
