2 Sketches 4 You- Kazan’s Sketch #54

Happy Wednesday!
Before I start, I must say that it feels weird when I don’t post daily. I’m so used to writing posts or having something scheduled- it’s strange when I see the last post was a few days ago. Is that weird? I have a TON of new cards to share, but I just haven’t gotten around to scanning them in. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to scan in a weeks worth so I won’t have to miss any blog posts when I’m in Florida.
It’s been quite a while since I played along with 2S4Y. Every single Monday I take a look at the new sketch, but rarely do I actually have time to play along. (Why are there only 24 hours in a day?) This week the sketch was super easy (thanks Kazan!), so I had no excuse not to whip something up. I literally did whip this up- 20 minutes is pretty good in my book! ;)
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope this card inspired you to play along with Kazan’s Sketch #54!

DeNami Product Challenge #2

**This is my second post today. Be sure to scroll down for my PCD cards + video.**

I’m so glad that you stopped by! It’s the 5th of the month- time for a new DeNami Design blog challenge! This time the challenge was to use their fabulous templates. Now, if you are anything like me, you are intimidated by templates, pop up cards, etc. For the longest time I didn’t even try to use them- they were just too scary! I finally took the plunge and now I can’t get enough! They are SO easy to use…believe me, I’m not just saying that!
During the time of the challenge (June 5- June 15) you can get the downloadable templates for FREE! This is a great way to test them out and of course, you must play along with the challenge! There are FIVE fabulous templates to choose from- everything from a treasure chest to an adorable gift bag!
I cannot say how amazed I was by the DeNami DT samples. Seriously, you will be blown away. Be sure to visit each and every one of their blogs- you will be truly inspired.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you were greatly inspired!

Embellish Labels Color Challenge

Hi there!

Well, it’s Friday….you know what that means? The new Embellish Color Challenge is up! I seriously love these challenges! The only thing better than these challenges would be to be featured or win! :) Hopefully one of these days….

The Embellish Labels Color Challenge required the use of some sort of label die. I decided to ink up my PTI Round & Round anniversary set for this one. Can you believe I have only played with it once before this?! I’m still deciding if I truly like it or not. What are your thoughts? Are you interested in purchasing a brand new one? I have an extra if anyone is interested. (Feel free to email me- click on the pink envelope on the sidebar.)

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I’m planning on going with my little sis to get her senior pictures done. So crazy that she is graduating! Hoping that the photographer will take a few pics of me and my new sassy haircut. :)

Be sure to stop by my blog tomorrow. I’ll have a project for the DeNami Product Challenge AND I’ll be featuring a card using the new Practicing Creativity set. In addition to these, I’ll also have a video tutorial! Lots of fun things!!

Thanks so much for spending some time with me! Have a fabulous Friday!

Embellish Butterflies Color Challenge

Hello, sweet friends!

I’m so excited to share the card I have for you today. This card was based off of the latest Embellish Color Challenge. Oh my goodness, I am so in love with this color combination! It’s so striking and sophisticated! For this challenge we needed to use kraft, light green, black and butterflies. When I saw that butterflies were needed on this card, I immediately thought of my butterfly die. If you know me, then you know I don’t really like plain things. I just had to dress up the butterfly with some polka dots and rhinestones. ;)

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I’m planning on getting lots more stamping done (it’s a never ending process) over the weekend. I’m also planning on going to a grad party- need to still make a graduation card for the event. Hoping the idea in my mind translates to paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope this card inspired you!
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Background Basics: Text Style, Fancy Flourishes, Everyday Button Bits
Paper: White, Brown Kraft, Black, Spring Moss
Ink: Onyx Black, Versamark, Spring Moss, Tea Dye Duo
Other: moss rhinestones, butterfly die

DeNami Sketch Challenge #2

Hi there!

Well, it’s the 20th- time for another challenge over at the DeNami Design blog! This time around Wendy designed the sketch challenge. I just love this sketch! It’s so versatile and the possibilities are endless.
You may remember this color combination….I used it here and here. These colors make me so happy! When it’s Valentine’s Day I just love looking at all the pretty colored decorations, candy and cards- all of the colors I love! I know that we normally associate Valentine’s Day with the colors, but it doesn’t have to only be used then! It may be difficult to “step outside the box”, but the results can be so worth it. Give it a try- you just may be surprised!
I hope you all hop on over to the DeNami Design blog and take a peek at all the great samples. This week it isn’t required to use DeNami stamps, so there isn’t any excuse not to play along!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you were inspired!

DeNami Color Challenge #2

**This is my second post today. Be sure to scroll down for my Practicing Creativity card!**

Yay! It’s time for another DeNami Design challenge! I just love when the 5th and 20th comes around….it’s always guaranteed to be full of inspiration from my fellow DeNami DT members!

For this challenge, Beka chose some FABULOUS colors. Who could resist White, Black, Magenta, Lime and Aquamarine? It’s so fresh and yummy! I decided to stick with a fairly simple card design- I really wanted the trees to shine. Can I just say that I LOVE these trees? You can color, glitter, emboss or leave them plain and they always look amazing. I recently made a card featuring these trees but used a warm Fall color scheme. Talk about versatile stamps!

I hope you’ll play along with this challenge- it’s definitely a fun one. This week there is a prize for the winner- a $30 DeNami gift certificate and of course, the Fabulous 3 Spotlight badge. :) Can’t wait to see what you create!

Just in case you missed the news yesterday, I have reached 200 followers on my blog! To celebrate this special achievement I’m hosting a $50 gift certificate giveaway!
Click here for all the details!

2 Sketches 4 You- Laura’s Sketch #51

Thank you
to everyone who wished me good health in my last post….I think it’s working! I had a migraine for most of yesterday but it slowly diminished as the day went along. Hoping and praying that it doesn’t return in the near future. I can deal with it for one day, but when it last for days, it just gets uncomfortable and frustrating.

Okay, I know that I just used these stamps, but I just can’t get enough! This time around I went with the fun Aqua, Hawaiian Shores, Spring Moss and Kraft color combination. It’s been a while since I played along with 2 Sketches 4 You (in non-DT capacity), so I thought it was time to give it a whirl again. ;) Laura designed a fairly simple sketch so I was able to get creative. Love how sketches can launch so many creative juices!

I have reached 200 followers!

Embellish Embossing Color Challenge

Hi there!

Boy am I glad that it’s Thursday night. Tomorrow I’ll get to sleep in! Yay! I got the house all cleaned up today so I wouldn’t have to do it tomorrow. So excited about the idea of having a semi-free day!

Tonight I have a card that was based off the new Embellish Embossing Color Challenge. As always, Ashley offered up a super fun color combination! I’m also excited about this challenge because the fabulous Courtney is sponsoring it! What’s even better….she’s giving away the only set I don’t have of hers. :)

Okay, moving onto the card….I had this idea of using the fun rays from the You’re Dandy set. Now this card didn’t turn out how I planned it in my head at all. I’m still debating if I like it or not. However, since it did take a little while, I figured I would post it. (See, I don’t always create “beautiful” things!!) Now you may be wondering where the embossing came to play in this card. I dry embossed the Nestabilities frame and then I heat embossed the dandelions. It’s fun to do things out of the “norm”- thanks for the challenge, Ashley!

Stamps: You’re Dandy, Funky Foliage
Paper: White, Lemon Tart, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Rain
Ink: Versamark, Cherry Pink, Spring Rain, New Leaf
Other: Spellbinders Label Four dies, Lemon Tart grosgrain ribbon, Clear embossing powder
