Plaid Umbrella Friend Card

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather here this morning – to share a bright and colorful card that is also a full panel shaker card! I also had fun combining some newly released goodies with some older stamps and dies – one of my favorite things about Pretty Pink Posh is how well everything coordinates and works together!

 

I started off by stamping, coloring, and die cutting my images. I used the newly released Friends Forever Stamps and coordinating Friends Forever Dies for the girl, and previously released Rainy Days Stamps and Rainy Days Dies for the umbrella – don’t you love how perfectly sized they are to work together? I used the outer portion of Decorative Tag 1 Dies to rest my images on, and to stamp my sentiment, also from Friends Forever.

I also added some accents with a white gel pen – and a BUNCH of Glossy Accents to the umbrella! LOVE the sparkle and shine that adds! Harder to see in the photos, but I added Glossy Accents to her jacket (to make it look a bit like a rain jacket?) and her shoes.

I added a frame using Scallop Frames to create my shaker portion, backing it with acetate, and adding foam tape around the edges. I then mounted the decorated frame directly on the front of the acetate, and added some foam behind the frame. I did this for two reasons – to add stability to the entire card with such a large shaker portion, and so that I didn’t waste my shaker filling where it wouldn’t be seen anyway. This way it can shaker around the entire panel and I didn’t have to fill it up as much as I otherwise might have had to.

I filled the shaker with 1/4″ Iridescent Star Confetti – SO nice and sparkly, and the perfect accent to all the bright colors from my rainbow plaid paper – it’s new from Lawn Fawn and I just ADORE it! Plaid makes me so happy anyway, but add a happy rainbow, and how can you go wrong?!?!?

Tutorial: Spring Friends Card

Hi everyone, Joni here sharing a different way of using the Stitched Notes Dies and pairing them with the Friends Forever stamp set, Easter Friends stamp set, and the Bee Friends stamp set (releasing in May 2017).

To begin, I distressed an A2 cardstock panel and die-cut with Stitched Notes Dies using the frame.

Next, I die-cut the center of the frame using one of the L dies to create a chevron pattern as a background. In this case, I also alternated some colors for my chevron.

Then, I colored these cute images. The girls and rose are from the Friends Forever stamp set, bunny from Easter Friends stamp set, bee from Bee Friends stamp set, the bow on their head is from the old favorite, Holiday Pals stamp set. All of these sets also have their coordinating die sets that are used on this project. If you did not get a chance to snatch the Bee stamp set this past released, this will be available for purchase in May 2017.

After die-cut cutting my chevron, I then put it together inside the frame and stamped the sentiment from Easter Friends stamp set “spring is here”. I also added some dots on the front panel using my Copic Markers.

The clouds are die-cut from another favorite, Rainy Days. To finish of the card I added some Lavender Moon sequins to match the card.

Easter Theme Week: Day 7

Hello, Pretty Pink Posh fans! Amy here to share my project for the Easter Theme Week. I created a Magic Slider card using the adorable Easter Friends set and the versatile Stitched Notes Dies.

This card required three layers, so I trimmed three white cardstocks and one acetate to 4.5 X 5.5. Then, I used the Stitched Notes Dies to die-cut the white cardstocks (see picture below).

Next, using the Misti tool, I took turns stamping the images on one of the die-cut papers (using versafine black ink) and on acetate (using stazon black ink).

Once I was done stamping, I covered up the images using a Molotow masking pen in preparation for distressing the background.

I used wavy Scallop Borders to die cut stamping mask paper to create the ground for the images and to separate the colors. I distressed the stamped card stock using Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick Distress Ozide inks using the blending tool.

Once I removed the masking fluid with a rubber cement eraser, I colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush 60 Pack.

Remember, I mentioned this card has three layers (plus a card base). The bottom layer consists of the colored cardstock with a white border (at this point I adhered the bottom layer to the card base). The second layer has a white border that was trimmed to a sideways U shape and adhered to the top of the bottom layer (this is the channel for the slider). For the sliding cardstock, I took the die-cut paper and glued on the largest tab from the Stitched Notes Dies. The white cardstock hides the colored image behind it. When you pull the tab, the cardstock slides away and the colored image is revealed. For the front layer, I adhered the stamped acetate behind the colored border and taped that to the top of the second layer. Voilà! Now we have a fun magic slider card.

Easter Theme Week: Day 6

Thanks for stopping by during our Easter Themed Week!  Jeanne here today!  I couldn’t resist making a card with the cute little bunny from the Easter Friends stamp set.  We have a big yard so the Easter Egg Hunt is always at our house. We hide plastic eggs with treats inside and give each of the kids a basket to fill up.

One of my favorite things about Pretty Pink Posh stamps is the ability to mix different sets together. Lots of the images from different sets are sized perfectly to create wonderful scenes!


I started with a hills of grass made with the Scallop Borders die set.  Of course we need some soft puffy clouds in the sky too!  These were cut from the Rainy Days coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment twice, once on the blue card stock sky, and again on just the edge of one of the clouds.  This gives a clean appearance to the stamped sentiment.

Next the fun part!  I stamped the images in Copic Markers and colored them with Copic Markers. It’s fun to add each element to complete the scene!

Easter Theme Week: Day 5

Hello!  Amy K. here with my card for the Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme Week. The design team has shared many ideas using the newest Easter products over the past few days.  Make sure to check them all out!

I wanted to create a card with the bunny image, from Easter Friends, popping out of windows. Pretty Pink Posh has lots of choices for dies when it comes to this technique. I chose to use the Stitched Pieces Die. I created a white panel using this die as it cuts the rounded rectangles out leaving stitching on the negative piece. I used the negative piece, trimmed down, and rounded the corners to match. To a top folding card, I added some plaid pattern paper and added my white die cut Stitched Pieces panel with foam adhesive. I didn’t want the pattern paper behind my images so I used the rounded rectangles cut earlier and lightly blended Distress Inks in shades that matched the pattern paper. These were adhered through the “windows”.
 

My images were Copic colored and die cut using the Easter Friends Die Set.  Then I decided where all my elements were going to go.  Once this was done, I used the “Hi!” sentiment from Everyday Greetings Stamp Set and stamped it in each window.  Using a non-Easter sentiment, made this a card that could be given anytime in the spring (if you left off the colored eggs!)  Now the fun part was assembling!  My bunnies were popped up with foam adhesive from each window tucking the bottom into the frame.  One little colored egg was added to each bunny to carry.  To finish, a few sequins from the Friendship Sequin Mix were added for some sparkle.

Easter Theme Week: Day 4

Hello everyone! Amanda here today to bring you more Easter inspiration for our theme week!


For my first project I’ve used the Easter Friends stamp set and coordinated dies together with a couple of stamps from the Bee friends set (releasing in May).  I colored all the images with Copic Markers and added a few details with colored pencils.

Since it was a very simple scene, I framed the card using the Stitched Notes die set to add a bit of interest. I also attached a few Sparkling clear sequins in different sizes as a final touch.

My second project is a tag that I made using the same stamp set (Easter Friends) and also the Everyday Greetings stamp set for the sentiment.

The images are also colored with Copic Markers and cut with its coordinated dies. For the background I blended three colors of Distress Oxide Inks (Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick and Fossilized Amber) and spraid a bit of water on top of it. The soft sequins gave the card a very sweet final touch.

Easter Theme Week: Day 3

Hello Pretty Pink Posh friends! Shannon here, so happy to join you today for part of the Easter Theme Week! For my card today I used the adorable new Easter Friends stamp set to create a cute shaker card.

To start my card off, I used a light blue A2 sized card based and stamped the patterned Easter eggs in the stamp set in the same colored ink all over for a tone on tone background. Moving on to the fun shaker area, I used the Scallop Circle die with some purple card stock to cut out my circle, I also die cut a piece of fun foam with a die to use as my dimension to create my shaker piece, however you can use foam adhesive, I just didn’t feel like cutting it down into thin strips and I prefer that the fun foam is a little thinner. Once I had my acetate attached to my scallop circle along with my foam for dimension it’s on to adding all the sequins and elements.

I wanted to be able to see the background of my card through the shaker, which makes it a little trickier to add the elements without a backing, what I find easiest is to put something heavy on the card to hold it down and then place all the sequins and seed beads in a small area where you want the shaker piece and then adhere the shaker element right on top. For my shaker I used the Hydrangea beads, Lilac beads, Clear Confetti mix , 3mm Sparkling Clear sequins and I also added a few colored Easter eggs in there that I colored in with Copic markers and cut out using the coordinating dies from the stamp set.

I stamped my cute little Easter bunny and the rest of the images on white card stock, colored in with Copic markers and cut out again using the coordinating dies. I adhered my images onto my shaker element and stamped my sentiment to finish my card off!

Easter Theme Week: Day 2

Hello and welcome to Pretty Pink Posh! Lisa here today sharing a card for our Easter Theme week using Easter Blessings Stamps and Dies. I have a step by step tutorial that shows just how simple this card was to make!

To begin, cut an opening in a card base and patterned paper using the Stitched Duo 3 Die.

With the card base closed, draw a light pencil line along the bottom open edge. Open the card and stamp your sentiment.

Next you will need two die cut crosses. Color one then adhere the blank one to the back of it. This covers any marker color that seeps through. When this card is open, the back of the cross will show on the inside.

Sandwich the cross between two pieces of clear acetate. I used a thin layer of spray adhesive on the back of the cross. Use your stamped sentiment as a guideline for the cross placement. Add the acetate layers to the card base front.

Adhere the patterned paper to the front of the card.

Stamp just the lily blooms several times then fussy cut them. Add them to the card front along with a sprinkling of Sweet Pea Sequins.

And there you have it! Something extra special for the recipient that didn’t take long at all!

Easter Theme Week: Day 1

Hi crafty friends! Lexa here today with a card for Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme Week. It will be so much fun, stay tuned for more amazing inspirations everyday this week.

A few days ago Paulina shared an amazing idea she saw by Heather. She created flower petals with the vase from Friends Forever Stamp Set. I really was in awe so I couldn’t wait to try it too and it turned out so cute! I added 6mm Clear Droplets in the center of each flowers. I choose springy candy colors for my card in pink, lilac and yellow. The little girl with bunny ears is carrying a basket full of eggs from Easter Friends Stamp Set as the star of this card.

I started my card with some background blending use Distress Inks and a stencil. Then I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. The purple Scallop Frames is a perfect way to keep your images in place. I mix the Easter Friends with Easter Blessings Stamp Set, a piece of burlap, a beautiful cross and “Easter Blessings” sentiment to complete my card.

Last but not least, I add some Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix to finish my card. You will never have enough sequins in your life, especially this one, I’ve been using this a lot. Here’s a closer look of my card…

A Blog Named Hero Celebration Hop

Hello, friends!

She used the Stitched Borders 3 die set and die cut the wide strip in a variety of colors. Imagine all the fun color combinations you could do with this concept!

Celebrations to me mean bright colors, confetti and balloons. The star confetti was made with stars from the Mini Tags die set cut from gold glitter paper. If you don’t want bulkiness or too much height, these little die cuts are a great way to get some sparkle onto your projects.

The little girl and balloons are from the new Friends Forever set and the sentiment is from the Everyday Greetings set. These sets are quickly becoming a favorite for many and it’s easy to see why- they are just so fun and versatile!

The little bow at the top is part of the Twine and Bows die set. This is such a unique set and if you like the look of bows, but maybe aren’t the best at making perfect bows, or again, don’t want to add bulkiness to your card, this set is a MUST HAVE!
