Hi friends! It’s Christina, and I’m back to brew up some fun with a couple of sneak peeks at the new Cat Holder and Halloween Holder Additions sets- the latest additions to the popular critter holders collection. These die sets are part of the upcoming Halloween release that will be available on August 7th. This release has everything you need to get your spooky season crafting started, and we have some wickedly good ideas and inspiration to share with you. Let’s get started!
I’m sharing two cards featuring the new Cat Holder and Halloween Holder Additions sets, including one with a shaker element. To help my scenes come to life, I shopped my Pretty Pink Posh stash and pulled in some of my favorite previously released Halloween goodies.

For my first card, I placed my Cat Holder in a Stitched Pumpkin patch and gave him a fang-tastic costume using elements from the upcoming Halloween Bucket Additions die set. Those bat wings are the cutest! The EEK word die, the jack-o’-lantern, and the spider web along with the little spider, are included in the Halloween Holder Additions set. Finally, I gave him a little ghost garland to hold, which is from the Halloween Mug Additions die set.

For the background, I wanted to continue the pumpkin patch theme and stenciled just the vines from the Layered Blooming Vines stencil set onto teal cardstock using Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks. For just a little sparkle, I spattered the background with Frosted Juniper Mica Stain. I assembled the pumpkin patch scene onto my background and added a greeting from Sentiment Strips: Halloween stamp set along with a sentiment from the upcoming Halloween Greetings stamp set. The finishing touch was to add a few white clay stars from the Stargazing Clay Confetti.

For the shaker card, I started with the Crackle Background Stencil from the new release, using a blue-gray ink color and then adding black splatter and a spritz of Frosted Juniper Mica Stain. For the Cat Holder, I used elements from the Halloween Holder Additions set for her costume, including the fish and the witch’s hat and broom.

I filled the Cauldron Shaker with an assortment of Pretty Pink Posh Halloween bits and pieces before topping it off with a bubbling fish brew from the Halloween Holder Additions. Hocus Pocus is from the upcoming Halloween Greeting stamp set, which I heat embossed right onto the front of the acetate.
To finish things up, I embellished the scene with magical sparkles, a couple of spider webs, and a few fluttering bats.
