Beachy Good Vibes

Hello and happy summer! Christina here. Looking to send someone some good vibes? I have the perfect card for you using products from the latest summer and beach-themed collection. I paired the new Good Vibes Shadow die with the incredible new Layered Seashells Stencils. No one does layered stencils as well as Pretty Pink Posh, and this one is no exception! I love building the layers on a darker cardstock like kraft, but for today’s beach-inspired card, I’m using an aqua blue cardstock. Let’s get started!

I started by die cutting the largest Stitched Torn Rectangle from aqua blue cardstock for my background and then stenciled it using the Layered Seashells. For stenciling, I used white pigment ink for the first shell layer, and for the second detail layer, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Salvaged Patina, Antique Linen, and Ground Espresso. I finished the background panel by splattering it with a glittery white liquid watercolor. 

Next, I die cut the Good Vibes text from a slightly darker aqua cardstock three times, stacked them for dimension, and then added one last die cut in white, slightly offset, for a highlight to the text. I also die cut the shells from the Seashell Border dies and inked them in the same Oxide colors I used for stenciling. The last step for the text and the shell die cuts was to spritz them with a translucent shimmer spray. 

Now it’s time to assemble everything into a card! First, I wrapped some twine around the bottom of the background panel a few times and secured it on the reverse side with scotch tape. Then I added foam tape to the rest of the panel on the reverse side, leaving a channel for where the twine is secured, before mounting it to a card base. Finally, I attached the Good Vibes text across the panel with glue and the seashells with foam squares in a small cluster over the twine. A scattering of Espresso Pearls was the finishing detail to this beach-inspired card design featuring products from the latest summertime collection.
