Fall Turkey Box Card

Hello everyone, it’s June here! Today I’m sharing my process on this box card I made using a couple of the fall products! Let’s get started!

I cut a Scallop Box Card from yellow cardstock, as well as the scalloped panels for the front and sides. Not the back panel, because I have something else planned for that. I added a light blend of Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide on those panels to add a bit of my color palette already. On the sides, I also stencilled the Wheat Pattern because it’s gonna be a great match for the stamp set I’m gonna use.

That stamp set is Turkey Friends, and I especially love the turkey holding the acorn garland, so that will be the inspiration for my box card! I added some wheat and acorns aswel to fill the scene.

On the back side of the box, I added the Acorn Shaker die set. You might recognise this die, it was released a long time ago but it was just 1 piece. The new version has 3 parts: the full acorn, the ‘hat’ and the shaker frame. I was so happy to see this die get more versatile, so I knew I wanted to add it to my card without the shaker element, because that wouldn’t have been possible before! I did a bit of ink blending and splattering to before assembling it and adding white gel pen details.

And now my favorite part of the card: the multicolored sentiment. I love the mismatched fonts on this sentiment from Happy Fall and decided to add even more interest to it by masking off certain words while stamping to add in even more of my orange-pink color palette.

And that finishes up my card. I hope to see you again on the blog soon, bye for now!
