Hello crafty friends, Christina here! I’m so excited to share the first sneak peeks at the cutest, coziest fall collection full of sunflowers, scarecrows, warm plaids, and autumn leaves. Today we are introducing some of the new die sets, including the re-release of the Acorn Shaker Die that has been redesigned so you can choose to use it as a shaker or as a regular die cut. It’s always good to have options! To showcase the new die sets we’re introducing today, as well as some of the new stencils, I’m sharing a trio of cozy cards with you for a bounty of fall inspiration. Let’s get started!

My first card features the Acorn Shaker Dies and two new stencils. Using the dies, I created a shaker element for my card and filled it with the new Blush Harvest Shaker Beads. I used the beads as my color inspiration for this card, so I started with a dusty rose cardstock panel trimmed to 4.25 x 5.5 inches and created a warm plaid pattern with the Windowpane Plaid stencil and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I added some distressing to the panel by spattering it with white splatter medium. Then I layered this panel with an ivory Pinking Rectangle off center and at a slight angle to the plaid panel for a whimsical look. In the center of the Pinking Rectangle, I added another stenciled panel that I trimmed down to fit inside the stitching detail. For this smaller stenciled panel, I used the new Wheat Pattern on kraft cardstock with Gathered Twigs ink and die-cut it with the Argyle Pierced Plate before attaching it to the Pinking Rectangle.

For the shaker element, I die-cut the acorn frame piece several times from the dusty rose cardstock and secured the layers with a liquid adhesive. I sandwiched a piece of acetate between the top two layers for the window, added the shaker beads, and finished with the backer piece. I chose a coordinating patterned paper to finish the backer piece and the top frame piece and topped the acorn with a chocolate brown cap. I attached the acorn to the stenciled and layered background panels and tied a piece of ivory twine around the stem. I embellished the acorn with a couple of Stitched Leaves, which I added shading to, and two Upright Greetings: Fall sentiments heat-embossed with ivory embossing powder. I finished up by adding a larger sentiment from the Happy Fall stamp set, also heat-embossed with ivory embossing powder and then die-cut with the coordinating die. A few tiny oak leaves were the finishing touch.

My next card features the latest addition to the Holder collection, the Mouse Holder, which I paired with the new Fall Holder Additions. I die-cut the mouse from kraft cardstock and added shading to the pieces before assembling them. I used ivory and black cardstock for the mouse details and Onyx Pearls for the eyes. I created another stenciled and layered background for this card using two new stencils, Gingham and Wheat Pattern, and used the largest Pinking Rectangle again too, die-cut from ivory cardstock. I stenciled the wheat pattern on an A2 ivory cardstock panel with honey yellow ink and distressed the panel with Gathered Twigs ink and splattered it with Fallen Acorn Mica Stain.

I stenciled the gingham pattern on light blue cardstock with gray ink and blended more gray ink around the edges of the panel for some distressing. I layered and secured the panels with liquid adhesive and attached the mouse in the center with foam squares. Then I die-cut and assembled a field of sunflowers to tuck around the mouse and added a stamped sentiment from the Happy Fall stamp set die-cut with the coordinating die. For embellishment, I added a few Matte Gold Confetti pieces.

My last card features a colorful bunch of Stitched Leaves on an ivory Pinking Circle that I stenciled using the Wheat Stencil and honey yellow ink. I added shading to the leaves and arranged them with an acorn from the Fall Holder Additions and finished with a tiny twine bow.

For the background panel, I started with a dark green cardstock panel trimmed to 4.25 x 5.5 inches and stenciled it with the Layered Windowpane Plaid and Forest Moss Distress Ink. I added distressing to the panel with ink blended around the edges and then spattered with a white splatter medium. I centered the Pinking Circle on the background panel, and for the ivory heat-embossed sentiment, I combined the word “Fall” with a sentiment strip, both from the Happy Fall stamp set. I finished this card with a few Matte Gold Confetti pieces.
