Day 1: Valentine Theme Week + Daily Giveaways

Hello Crafty Friends! It is Hanh here with you today. Happy Valentine Theme Week! I have two cards to share with you featuring the adorable Valentine Circles and Valentine Greetings sets. I love how versatile these two sets are. With the exception of the two sentiments that specifically say “Valentine”, these sets can be used just about any time of the year to send some love. So let’s get started.

For both cards, I stamped the images from the Valentine Circles stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the Valentine Circles Dies to diecut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Skin: E000/00/21/11/93
Hair: E50/51/53/33Light pink: RV10/21Dark Pink: RV10/21/13/14/29White: C0/1/3Green: YG01/03Blue: BG000
Frosting/Sprinkles: E41/81, RV14

For the background, I stamped several of the sentiments from the Valentine Greetings stamp set onto a piece of pink cardstock with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink. I adhered the colored images to the panel with liquid glue.

I used the Love You Shadow Dies to diecut the “love” and shadow out of red cardstock and vellum. I adhered the two together and then onto the panel with liquid glue. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”) and finished with a few tiny hearts diecut with the die from the Box of Chocolates Dies

For the second card, I created the background by using the Simple Strips Dies to diecut several strips of red, pink and blue cardstock and adhering them to a piece of white cardstock. I stamped the “Wild About You” sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Valentine stamp set directly onto the panel with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

COPIC COLORS:Monkeys: E000/00/21/11/93, E33/99/35/37Pink: RV10/21Red: R14/24/29Blue: BG000/BG01

I stamped the “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment from the Valentine Greetings set with Versafine Satin Red ink and used the Valentine Greetings coordinating dies to diecut it out. Foam tape was used to adhere the sentiment to a white circle die cut with the Valentine Circles Dies. The circle was adhered to the striped panel with liquid glue.

The colored images were adhered to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”) and finished with a few sequins from the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.
