Day 1: Valentine Theme Week + Daily Giveaways

Hello Crafty Friends! It is Hanh here with you today. Happy Valentine Theme Week! I have two cards to share with you featuring the adorable Valentine Circles and Valentine Greetings sets. I love how versatile these two sets are. With the exception of the two sentiments that specifically say “Valentine”, these sets can be used just about any time of the year to send some love. So let’s get started.

For both cards, I stamped the images from the Valentine Circles stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the Valentine Circles Dies to diecut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Skin: E000/00/21/11/93
Hair: E50/51/53/33Light pink: RV10/21Dark Pink: RV10/21/13/14/29White: C0/1/3Green: YG01/03Blue: BG000
Frosting/Sprinkles: E41/81, RV14

For the background, I stamped several of the sentiments from the Valentine Greetings stamp set onto a piece of pink cardstock with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink. I adhered the colored images to the panel with liquid glue.

I used the Love You Shadow Dies to diecut the “love” and shadow out of red cardstock and vellum. I adhered the two together and then onto the panel with liquid glue. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”) and finished with a few tiny hearts diecut with the die from the Box of Chocolates Dies

For the second card, I created the background by using the Simple Strips Dies to diecut several strips of red, pink and blue cardstock and adhering them to a piece of white cardstock. I stamped the “Wild About You” sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Valentine stamp set directly onto the panel with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

COPIC COLORS:Monkeys: E000/00/21/11/93, E33/99/35/37Pink: RV10/21Red: R14/24/29Blue: BG000/BG01

I stamped the “Happy Valentine’s Day” sentiment from the Valentine Greetings set with Versafine Satin Red ink and used the Valentine Greetings coordinating dies to diecut it out. Foam tape was used to adhere the sentiment to a white circle die cut with the Valentine Circles Dies. The circle was adhered to the striped panel with liquid glue.

The colored images were adhered to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”) and finished with a few sequins from the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.

  1. Your coloring is amazing! I LOVE the cupid and monkeys! My mom and dad were there for me in a very hard time of my life and got me through it!

  2. I am physically disabled after a freak accident that hurt my back terribly. My dad is my primary caregiver. He is always willing to help me, day or night, and never makes me feel like I’m a bother or burden. It’s definitely not what I wanted him to do during his retirement but I am so thankful he is willing to help me. He is the best.

  3. What great cards! My husband helped me raise the 2 most wonderful sons a Mother can have. Without his love and devotion it would have been so much more difficult.

  4. My granddaughter, when she was 4 gave me $10 just because she wanted me to have it. I said, oh no, honey, I want you to have it. But she really wanted me to have it, as if it would break her spirit if I returned it.

  5. After I broke my ankle and had to have surgery, not only did my family help me in recovery, but my neighbor would come and change our bedsheets and do little chores around the house for me. I was so thankful for her help!

I hope no one stole the cats!” – Only to walk inside and find a bunch of my friends yelling “SURPRISE!” for my birthday! He was not only able to plan a party, with people he did not know, but everyone chipped in and helped decorate the dining room! I’ve never felt more grateful to have them in my life!
