Hello friends! Mindy here, and I hope you’ve been enjoying our Summer Inspiration Week!

Today, I’m sharing two flamingo-themed cards that instantly bring those sunny, tropical vibes to life. Flamingos are such iconic summer birds, and I couldn’t resist creating with the Tropical Birds stamp set, which also includes a fabulous palm tree perfect for building warm, beachy scenes.

For my first card, I stamped the images onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers.

The colors I used are:

• FLAMINGOS: RV66, RV55, RV63, RV00
• PALM TREE: G29, G17, YG06, YG00; E49, E37, E35, E33

To create a vibrant backdrop, I ink blended a colorful summer palette, then layered over it with the Summer Words stencil and shimmer relief paste for some sparkle and texture.

To build my scene, I used the Stitched Duo 3 die to create a window.

Behind the window, I added die cut waves and a sandy shoreline with the Shoreline Borders Die. 

The frame is popped up with foam tape for dimension, and I finished off the scene with the palm tree, a flamingo, and a sentiment from the Beach Fun stamp set.

My second card is a clean and simple design that puts the spotlight on the flamingo. I had already colored the image, so for the background, I simply stamped the palm tree in a light brown ink onto white cardstock. The flamingo is popped up with foam squares, and I added a bold black sentiment near the bottom to balance the design.

Both cards give off that laid-back, tropical energy perfect for summer crafting. I hope they inspire you to create your own sunny scenes!
