Beachy Shaker Card
Hello there everyone, this is Nicky with you today on the Pretty Pink Posh blog where I’m sharing a fun and beachy shaker card showcasing amazing products from the June release.

I took a panel of white cardstock and over this I layered the new Seashell Background Stencil. Through it, I ink blended softly using a combination of Distress Oxide Inks in Tea Dye, Speckled Egg, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and Saltwater Taffy. I concentrated my blending on each shell or starfish in the design and then with the excess on my blending brush I’d work a little outside the lines also and ensured that everything softly ‘melted’ together.
I removed the stencil and glued this panel to my card base.

I used the Shoreline Borders Die to create a sandy edge which I ink blended with more of the Tea Dye ink. I stamped the sentiment which was taken from the new Beach Fun stamp set and then I backed this sandy strip with some extra think dimensional foam tape and adhered to the background. I made sure to not place the foam tape where I was going to want to tuck the sand bucket shaker.
I die cut sturdy white cardstock about 5 times using the new Sand Bucket Shaker Die to make a stack of the outline pieces and one of the full background shape.
I ink blended a little bit of pink to the background bucket piece and then glued the outline die cuts in a stack, reserving one. I sprinkled in the new Paradise Shaker Beads, sealed it with acetate and then added the final outline.

I glued the Sand Bucket Shaker to the card background at a playful angle and added the handle.
For the finishing touch, I die cut the spade from the Sand Bucket die set. I did this three times. Once from pink cardstock, once from sparkling pink cardstock and once more in white. When I glued the pieces together I slightly offset the sparkling die cut so that you just get a glimpse of it on the right hand side. I highlighted the spade and tucked it in with the bucket and adhered with glue.
The finishing touch was just the addition of a few sparkling clear sequins and then this project was done.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Nicky
