Lots of Love Hummingbirds
Hello everyone, June here! Today I’m sharing my process for a card I made using what I think is the absolute highlight of the May release: the Hummingbird Floral stamp set!

I wanted to create a very elegant looking card, so I colored everything in neutral colors. Just some white, warm grey, brown and of course green for the leaves. I also brought in the Spring Birdhouses stamp set to help with building a scene. Of course I had to pick the one with the leaves on it. I layered the flower clusters behind the birdhouse and I love how that turned out!

I didn’t want to put my scene on a busy background, so I used the Scallop Oval Dies to create a window for my birds. That way I could go all out on the background. I used the Leaves Stencil and Distress Oxide in the colors Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness to create a tone-on-tone look. I also splattered some watered down Rustic Wilderness and white acrylic paint on my panel.

I felt like this design would work perfect for something like a wedding card, so I chose the ‘Lots of Love’ sentiment from the Valentine Greetings Stamp Set. I think it’s great how I’m still getting use out of this set after Valentine’s Day! I stamped it using grey ink so it matched the hummingbirds.
I’ll see you again soon, bye!
This is so beautiful. I would never have imagined this color scheme for these birdies but it’s GORGEOUS.
