Day 2: September Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

Hi crafty friends! It’s Christina again, back to share a sweet and simple card design featuring the fun new Patterned Apples Stamp Set. I can see using this versatile set for fall themes, back to school, or even Valentine’s Day! I paired the set with my favorite thing from the latest release, the Layered Leaf Lattice Stencils, adding an unexpected white clay heart detail. Let’s get started!

My first step was to stencil the background on kraft cardstock trimmed to 4 x 5” with white stencil paste using just the first layer of the Layered Leaf Lattice Stencils. I added a 2” piece of white cardstock to the top of the panel and trimmed it out with a thin strip of black cardstock that I had added a white heat embossed sentiment to. Then I framed everything up with a Scallop Frame that I die cut from kraft cardstock.

Next, I stamped the apple and leaf outlines with black ink on white cardstock and added the apple patterns using red ink. I colored the apple leaves and stems with alcohol ink markers and then die cut everything with the coordinating dies. Then, I attached the apples with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares before adding white gel pen highlights.

My last step was to add White Clay Hearts to the lattice pattern and then attach everything to a black card base slightly larger than the scallop frame.
