How to Make Galaxy Backgrounds (3 Ways)
HI everyone! Rebecca here and I have three easy ways to make galaxy backgrounds today!
Watch the video above I Watch the video in HD on YouTube
For the first background, try Nuvo Shimmer Powder on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Simply tap the powder onto cardstock and sprtiz with water. Add some stars with the Spellbinders Splatter White by tapping it from a paint brush. This background is perfect for the Planet Shaker Dies filled with Starry Galaxy Confetti. Grab a sentiment and some stamped stars from the Outer Space Stamp Set.
For another simple to make galaxy background, start with a whole bunch of ink spots on white cardstock. Use some Black Soot Distress Oxide with water and add it with a large paint brush right on top of the colorful ink splotches. Spritz with a water bottle and place a dry towel on top to pick up some of the black revealing some of the swirling color underneath. Add some stamped, colored and die cut images from the Outer Space Stamp Set and Outer Space Coordinating Dies. The sentiment can be stamped and heat embossed in the center of the planets!
For a third way to create a galaxy background, try adding Distress Oxide inks over the Layered Shooting Stars Stencils on dark cardstock. The Distress Oxide inks will sit slightly above the paper rather than completely sinking in. Add the Rocket Ship Shaker Dies to create a rocket shaped shaker with Beach Day Shaker Beads inside. And finish it off by embellishing with some glow in the dark stars from the Starry Galaxy Confetti and a stamped and heat embossed sentiment from the Outer Space Stamp Set.
I hope you’ll try some of these easy techniques to create galaxy backgrounds for some of the fun space themed stamps, dies and embellishments from this month’s Pretty Pink Posh release!
