Hi everyone, June here and today I’m sharing a fun interactive card using the newest release with you all.

When I opened my DT package, I instantly gravitated towards the new interactive die set that was included, the Fancy Card dies. I always love interactive elements in a card, and especially ones that don’t require a ton of work. So when I realized just how easy it was to put together, I knew exactly what I was gonna use first!

I immediately imagined the slopes on the dies to be hills with a nice skyline in the background. Out of all the vehicle sets that are in this release, I chose the Construction Additions for my scene. I went a bit out of my comfort zone here and chose some bright flashy colors for the vehicles. No pastels and no pinks this time. I used a lot of the small images to fill my scene, mostly from the same set, but I also pulled in some from the Utility Vehicles set.

I cut out 2 of the Fancy Card panels so I could still have some space at the top for my skyline and sentiment. I used Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to create a muddy ground on both of my interactive panels and my main card panel. I used a piece of cream colored cardstock as my sky to match the brown tones, and I splattered some more of the Vintage Photo Distress Oxide on it for some added interest.

I used the new City Buildings as my skyline. I cut both of the building dies out of white cardstock and used my Copic Markers to add some color to the backing panel. I placed it right above the hills onto my card base. Then I adhered both of my Fancy Card panels, creating an accordion-like shape.

Now the fun part: making the scene! I started out with the scene in the front, and used the remaining stamped images to fill up the empty space in my ‘second’ scene, when the first flap is opened. I made sure that the front flap covered the images when it was closed so it didn’t interfere with my first scene. There was a small gap in my second scene where a sentiment could fit, so I stamped one from the Construction Additions in that space.

I left the third scene empty on purpose so there was space to write a personal message to the recipient. To finish my card, I cut the For You Shadow out of brown cardstock and adhered it to the empty space I left just above the skyline. The descenders of the script fit so perfectly between the buildings, I always love it when things work out like that!

And that was my card! I hope you enjoyed reading about it, and I hope you enjoy looking at all the fun new products in this release!
