Birthday Party Box Card + Video

Hello friends. It’s Lisa Mears on the blog today and these penguins are having a party celebrating Pretty Pink Posh’s 10th birthday.

I love making scene cards and the Scallop Box Card die set makes it so easy to create a fun little scene inside.

I started by coloring the stamps from the Penguin Pals stamp set and the Party Time stamp set using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens in the following colors: Turquoise Green, Bright Yellow, Yellow, Light Carmine, Light Gray, Cool Gray 6, and Lilac.

Next, I used the Layered Balloons Stencil to create a background of balloons. I inked the balloons using the following Distress Oxide inks: Shaded Lilac, Salvaged Patina, Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick, and Hickory Smoke.

Once I finished inking the stenciled background, I die cut it with the layering dies from the Scallop Box Card. I stamped the sentiment from the Party Time stamp set onto the rectangular layering piece that goes in front of the box card and then added all of the layering die cuts to the card base. I wanted it to look like there were balloons floating throughout the sky.

Finally, I added the stamped images to the box card to create a fun little birthday scene. I love using this Scallop Box card die set to create little scenes with stamps. It makes it look so dimensional too!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great day!
