Stencil Theme Week- Day 5

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a square-shaped birthday shaker card. I tend to make birthday cards for girls, so this time I challenged myself to make a card with a gender neutral color palette.

To start, I cut a 5” square white cardstock and inked through the A layer of the Layered Party Hats Stencils with Dried Marigold, Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass, and Twisted Citron. For the B layer, I used the same inks for a tone on tone look. For the C layer, I used Color Box gold ink and finally for the last layer, I used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink.

For the shaker bits, I cut the confetti dies from the Fancy Cake Die in various colors of cardstock. I love that I can now customize the shaker elements inside the shaker card with this new die. Next, I cut a square frame in teal cardstock, glued acetate, and added foam tape.
I cut the Wish Big Script in gold cardstock, added white highlights, and glued it onto the acetate. I then stamped a sub sentiment in a strip of yellow cardstock and glued it under the script sentiment. Lastly, I closed the shaker card and glued the card panel onto a 5” square card base.

I love all the PPP clay confetti for my shaker cards, but I love that I can use the confetti die to make shaker bits in color combinations of my choice. I know that you will love it too!
Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting!
