Stencil Theme Week- Day 6

Hi friends! Hope you are enjoying Stencil Theme Week! It’s Stefanie here today and I’m sharing a colorful card using the Layered Clouds Stencils. I think it could definitely cheer up someone’s day!

To create the background, I did a rainbow blend of each stencil on an A2 size cardstock. I used distress oxides in Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, and Worn Lipstick. Then I used some water droplets to lift some ink for interest and added some white “splatter” using a white gel pen. I trimmed down the background to a slightly smaller size than A2 and stamped a sentiment in the bottom right from the Easter Sentiments Stamp Set.

Next I used the recently released Umbrella Shaker Dies to create the umbrella shaker. I die cut the top of the umbrella 5 times, then used scissors to remove the middle umbrella lines from 4 of the die cuts because I eventually wanted the confetti to traverse across all compartments. I glued the 4 die cuts together, added a piece of acetate over the top, then added the final unaltered umbrella top.

The stem is only 1 layer and the handle is 2. I glued the umbrella together on the card and used Birthday Cake Clay Confetti for the shaker bits.
Finally I adhered the background onto a white card base using foam tape for dimension and the card was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you like my card!
