Birthday Dinosaurs

Hello friends! It’s Leica here on the blog and today I am sharing this super fun birthday card using the Dinosaur Friends stamp set paired with the Dino Dig Stencil. 

To begin, I cut a 5 inch square panel in white cardstock and made the scene using the Dino Dig Stencil. I ink through the stencil with Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Vintage Photo, and Weathered Wood. I love how easy it was to create a background with this stencil. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the Hope Your Day is Rex-cellent directly onto the card panel in black ink. I also white heat embossed Happy birthday onto a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted above the longer sentiment. 

Next, I stamped and colored the images from the Dinosaur Friends stamp set. I then cut them with their coordinating dies and foam mounted them onto the card panel. I cut a larger square panel in teal cardstock and adhered the layers together. Lastly, I adhered the panels onto a 5.5  inch square card base.
