Sneak Peek: September 2021 Dies
Hi Friends! Jane here, sharing some sneak peaks of the dies from the September 13th release by Pretty Pink Posh!
My first card is a shaker card using the Leaf Frame die set cut using white cardstock. To create the shaker card, I first created a background using various dye inks mixed with water and ink “smooshed” them on watercolor cardstock using a piece of scrap acetate. While the background was drying, liquid glue was added to the Leaf Frame and sheet of acetate was adhered to create a shaker window.
Double thick foam tape was used to line the edges of the window. The shaker was filled with various colors of 4mm sequins and the background was adhered to the back to create the shaker.
Next, I used the images from Cozy Fall Critters stamp set and the sentiment from Woodland Thanks stamp set and added them to the front of the card. The entire card was then mounted to an A2 card base and that completes the card!
Next up, I’m featuring the new Elegant Pumpkin die set to create Thanksgiving placards.
To create these placards, die cut the Elegant Pumpkin die set out of heavy weight white cardstock. Next, using a large blender brush/blending tool, blend a background using yellow, orange, pink and red die inks. After, the blending was done, liquid glue used to adhere the pumpkins to the ink blended background. Scissors were then used to fussy cut the tops of the images leaving the bottom portion with a little room to add a sentiment.
Next, I used scrap heavy weight cardstock and cut it into a square shape about 3.5 inches square. The squares were scored and folded to create a rectangle card which served as the stand for my placard holders. The pumpkin placeholders were stamped using sentiments from Woodland Thanks stamp set using black ink. Then, the images were adhered to the small rectangle cards using double sided tape and that finishes the project.
My final card features the new Fall Foliage die set. To create this slimline card, I first created a watercolor background using various shades of purple, pink, orange, red and yellow colors. After the watercolor panel was dry, I used the fall foliage die set to cut the various shapes. Then, using the slimline peekaboo windows dies (smaller size die), I die cut a piece of white cardstock and used black ink to stamp the sentiment from the new Falling Leaves Stamp Set.
Using tiny pieces of foam tape, each piece of foliage was adhered to the white die cut panel. Then, the edges were trimmed using scissors. Next, the panel was adhered to a light pink cardstock sized 8 inches by 3.5 inches. The entire panel was then adhered to a slimline card base and that complete the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you found some inspiration using the new fall dies which will be available on September 13th.
