It’s release day at Pretty Pink Posh today and I have two cards to share with you using the new free with purchase stamp set called Ladybug Friends. I love this cute little cheerful stamp set that has the perfect sentiment for thank you cards.

During January 2020, we’ll be giving away this not-yet-released 3″ x 4″ stamp set called Ladybug Friends with qualifying orders over $80. Qualifying orders over $100 will also receive the coordinating die set! This is while supplies last and will automatically be included with orders.

My first card uses my favorite stamping technique which I call “random stamping”. I started with a card size piece of white cardstock and then I stamped all of the images in the set with a light color of ink. I then colored them in with colored pencils.

After I colored the images of the ladybugs, I decided they would look better with outlines, so I used a black colored pencil to add them. I used a gray colored pencil to add a shadow below each of the images. I used a white gel pen to add dots inside each of the circles on their wings and lines on their bodies.

I stamped the sentiment in the set on a stitched rectangle from the Mini Storybook 1 Die using white embossing powder. I added a black cardstock rectangle behind it so it stood out more from the card. I also used a black and white frame around the card to frame it. I added some 4mm Raspberry sequins and some 6mm Raspberry sequins around the card to finish it.

For this card, I started by die-cutting an oval frame from a rectangle of white cardstock using the Scallop Oval Dies. I watercolored a piece of white paper with Nuvo Shimmer Powder to place underneath the frame. I attached the white piece to a black card base.

I stamped 3 ladybugs from the stamp set on white cardstock with a light color of ink and colored them with colored pencils. I outlined them again with a black pencil and then added white details with a gel pen. I cut my greeting in half so I could use just the word “thanks” which fit perfectly on a stitched rectangle from the Storybook 5 die. I used gray cardstock and white embossing powder. I finished the card with some Sparkling Clear Sequins.
