Fairy Tale Pond Friends

Hi Pretty Pink Posh friends! It’s Jeanne here and I hope you’re having a great day! I don’t know about you but I just love a fairy tale and still there is nothing better than a happy ending!  When I was young I used to love looking through the beautiful books my Grandmother had for us when we would visit.

It wasn’t just the stories that would captivate me.. the beautifully drawn renderings of the events in the book could have me day dreaming for hours.  When I saw the Pond Friends stamp set all those stories came back to me. Stories about becoming who you are and finding your perfect mate. 

My card starts with a soft blue card stock panel stamped with a sentiment from the set. Next I layered on swoops of Stacked Layers 1 of ombre blue card stock to look like waves. A Scallop Oval die cut is left open so the colorful stripes peek through.

Next I adhered the swans and lily pads.  The swans were left uncolored except for their bills and rosy cheeks. I adhered some of the images flat to the card base while others are raised with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.

I know I’ll be reaching for this set for all my real life dreams come true like weddings, engagements, valentines, or just a love letter to my sweetie.
