Sending You Sunshine Shaker

Good morning! Heather here this morning to share another Something Old, Something New card with you – basically mixing together both newer products, and older ones – to show how AMAZINGLY well Pretty Pink Posh products work together! Today, I’ve used one of my first PPP stamp sets – Birdie Friends, paired up with a die that released about a year and a half ago called Stitched Pieces. I added a sentiment from a newer set from last summer called Summer Friends.

I started off by stamping the cute little row of birdies, die cutting them with the coordinating Birdie Friends Dies, and coloring them in a rainbow of Copic colors. I added some details with a white gel pen for interest.

Next up, I used a leftover die cut from Stitched Notes that I had on my desk, and then die cut Stitched Pieces from the center of that panel. I stamped my sentiment in the center of one of the negative pieces.

I then turned that panel into a shaker element – but only did that to the top and bottom portion of theĀ Stitched Pieces. I filled it with Sparkling Clear 3mm sequins, and adhered it onto some rainbow plaid pattern paper.

Finally, I added the birdies with foam adhesive, and added the sentiment piece with a double layer of foam adhesive to pop it out of the center. I also attached it at a bit of a jaunty angle – just so a bit of the plaid paper peeks out from behind it.

While this card doesn’t technically have a “sun” on it – everyone knows that you can’t have a rainbow without the sun! I can’t help but think this card would cheer anybody up – don’t you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

  2. This is so sweet Heather. If the little rainbow of birds doesn’t make someone smile then I doubt the sun would either! LOL Love the stitched window die too.
