Thank You

Hello Doily!

Do you remember when doilies were all the rage in paper craft land? What started as something that was classified as “shabby chic” in style quickly drifted and those of us who can’t pull off that style to save their life  I tried my hand at incorporating them into my cards. At times I was successful, then there were other times I failed at it completely. While doing a purge of supplies and some cleaning, I came across my stash of doilies and decided to give them a whirl again. I truly do love how they look on cards….when they’re done right.

My card today is fairly simplistic, but it’s hard to make anything fussy when I use the Fresh Cut Florals set and dies. I think they’re so beautiful on their own, I try not to let anything take away from their beauty. I had originally created this card and it didn’t have the doily, but it was lacking something and then voila!

Pretty Pink Posh I Fresh Cut Florals

For those new to my site, one of my favorite things to do is use sequins and add rhinestones or pearls on top of it. It’s double the bling without being over the top. SWOON!

As many of you know, I’m prepping for the launch of my shop in these next few weeks. I’m getting the last of the products that will be in the shop opening this week, I just confirmed proofs for my tags and business cards and my packaging stickers just arrived. It’s all so exciting and completely nerve wrecking at the same time! As soon as everything arrives, I’ll be working overtime to get my shop up and running. Eeeek!

That’s going to wrap up this post. If you have guesses as to what will be in my shop, I’d love to hear them. Some of you have (correctly) guessed and then others are very close. Let’s just say I’m starting SMALL and sticking with items that are very ME. *wink*

Thank You Feather Collage

This past week, I reached another milestone here at Pretty Pink Posh- 500 subscribers on the YouTube channel! I haven’t been keeping track of the subscribers there and when I looked, I was so shocked to see the numbers. If you’re one of my subscribers, thank you! I’m not able to do videos regularly, so seeing that the ones I do make are appreciated brings me great joy.500_YouTube

Speaking of videos….I have a new one to share with you all today. I filmed this one last week, but since I’ve been pretty much confined to bed lately, I haven’t been able to edit and upload it until today. It’s a short one, but I love the way it turned out- I hope you all do, too!

In today’s card, I’m highlighting two sets that I purchased recently: WPlus9 Fanciful Feathers and Mama Elephant Many Thanks. Sadly, now that I’m featuring it- they’re both currently sold out at Ellen Hutson. They should be getting more soon though!

And now, here’s the video showcasing how I created this card. You just might see the Stamp Press in use {finally!} and if you don’t have one, hopefully this video will show how amazing it is.

It’s so fun to see what sentiments can work together, I hope you’ll give this technique a try! If you do, I would love to see it! Feel free to tweet or Instagram me (be sure to tag @prettypinkposh) or you can leave a comment on this post with your link. I can’t wait to see YOUR versions!

Fresh Cut Florals

Hello, sweet blog friends!

If you peruse blogs regularly, you most likely have seen the GORGEOUS WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals a lot. I have owned it for a little while now and love it to pieces. The variety of stamps and the endless amount of combinations makes this a MUST HAVE in my book.

I wanted to change things up a bit and decided to do a little masking with the florals and create a thank you card. I believe I have found my new thank you card layout for the next few months- I LOVE how this turned out. Granted, it does take a little bit of work, but if I were to mass produce it, I could streamline things a bit. {In case you receive one, pretend like you’ve never seen this design before….}

When I had finished the card, I thought it still look a little bit plain- hence, the polka dot border. I didn’t want to add any dimensional elements, so this was the perfect solution. Also, since I had the mask for the frame already, it was super easy.

That’s a wrap for today’s post. Just a reminder, TOMORROW is the last day to submit for the 10 Minute Craft Dash #25, sponsored by Lawn Fawn. There have been so many amazing entries so far- I hope you’ll add yours to the list!

Thoughtful Thank You Blog Hop

Hello there!

I’m here today for my post for the DeNami Thoughtful Thank You Blog Hop. I’ll be the first to admit, I had so many ideas on what I wanted to do for this post, but didn’t know if any of them would come to light. With my health being shaky lately, my bouts of crafting have been on and off. I’m SO grateful that I was feeling good one day and was able to knock out this fun little project.

If you started from the beginning of the hop, you should be coming from Pattie Goldman’s blog. If this is your first stop and you would like to start from the beginning, be sure to head on over to the DeNami blog for the complete list of participants.

This is a lengthy post, so let’s jump right into it…..

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about Christmas. It’s hard to resist- my mom has already put up our Christmas tree and the stores are all decked out in pretty decorations. I will admit, mentally I’m not prepared for the crazy holiday season, but I DO love creating pretty holiday items.

Since my budget will be tight this year, I plan on making some of my Christmas presents. I know quite a few of my friends aren’t super crafty, but appreciate homemade items, so I thought I’d create some little gift sets. Since many people receive Christmas presents, I thought I’d create some mini thank you cards so they can hand them out.

I’ve had these tins forever and thought this was a great time to pull them out. They are super handy- I’ve used them to wrap up gift cards, package cards and now using them for Christmas presents. Yay for versatile items!

I pulled out many stamps on this project- I’ll post the complete supply list below. I always enjoy seeing which stamps work together and these blog hops are the perfect time to do so. :) Hopefully it inspires you to try out new stamp combinations, or maybe introduce you to new DeNami stamps.

I know this was a longer post, so I’ll wrap this up. Your next stop on the hop: Barbara Murphy! This gal is such a sweetheart and also really creative. I’m sure she’ll have a fabulous item to share with us today.

Be sure to leave comments on all of the blog hop stops for your highest chance of winning one of the gift certificates. With the DeNami website offering 10% off for the month of November, the gift certificates will go even further! :)

Enjoy the rest of the blog hop. Thanks for stopping by!
