Mama Elephant

April Craft Haul + Giveaway

It’s April and I’m so happy to be fairly caught up on things here. Today I spent the day cleaning the studio and prepping room for the May release that’s coming in a few weeks. In addition, there are three brand new designers joining the PPP team and I cannot wait to reveal them to you the last week in April. Enough of the teasers… let’s get back into today’s haul!

This month, I got a couple of the new ones from Mama Elephant and some older stamps sets from Lawn Fawn. Thanks to the coupon that Ellen Hutson had recently, I didn’t feel *too* guilty getting some of the sets I’ve been eying for a while. I also had to stock up on some of my go-to cardstocks and ribbons, which you’ll see in the video.

In case any of the items in the video look like something you might want to purchase, I have linked them below.

*You can find the gorgeous felt I got at Crafty Wool Felt.

borderRecently, I got a bunch of goodies from my friends at Imagine Crafts. You may know them (they recently changed their name from Tsukineko) and are the company behind the beloved Memento, Versafine, Delicata inks and much, much more. They sent me their brand new Delicata 4 ink cub set for me to try out and they also gave me an extra to giveaway!

I always try to host my various giveaways on my different social media accounts, just so everyone who follows me has a chance to win. For this particular giveaway, I’m doing it on the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page. Directions are on the very first picture on my page, or you can click the picture below.

I hope that you have a fabulous weekend. I plan on getting some designing and crafting done and maybe even take a couple much needed days off. We’ll see how that goes. Thanks for spending some time with me today.

You’re My Favorite

As I’m looking back on the last few card posts, I’m realizing that I haven’t posted one of my go-to color combos in a while. I’ve been trying to stretch myself with new and unique colors that I’ve been straying away from the pinks, purples and greens. Don’t worry, they’ll be back soon. I actually got to craft recently and I created quite a few cards that I’m excited to share with you.

In today’s card, I’m pulling out the adorable superhero stamps from Mama Elephant again. There is just something about these stamps that has me a little nostalgic. Does anyone remember the animated movie The Incredibles? I loved that movie when it came out and these remind me of those characters!

*Purchase the Tiny Heroes set at Simon Says Stamp OR Ellen Hutson.

superhero1a

Can you believe I pulled out FIVE of my die sets on this card? I think that just might be a record for me. I used the Stitched Film Strip for the focal point, the Stitched Labels 1 for the sentiment, the Stitched Duo 2 for the main white panel and the Stitched Borders 1 & 2 for the bottom of the card. I can’t even imagine crafting without die cuts now- I’m utterly addicted to them!

superhero1b

Do you have a request for future videos? Lately I’ve been getting lots of requests for more videos, which is very flattering. There are so many talented crafters out there- I’m still in awe that people like to watch ME craft and film!  I have a growing list of requested videos, but I’m always open to hearing what you might like to see!

That’s a wrap for this post. Thanks for spending some time with me today!

Product Release Blog Hop

March_BlogHop

Hello, sweet friends!

It’s been a few days since the new dies and sequins were released and I know that some of you are already starting to get your orders. Hooray! For those who still have orders in, fear not, I’m still busy working on those orders and will get them out as soon as I can. Now for those who were waiting to see more ideas on these products- TODAY is the day.

The last three cards I shared were pastel cards, so I thought I would share a bright and bold card today. Plus, I was looking for a reason to break out the Tiny Heroes set by Mama Elephant and these colors fit it perfectly.

march2a

On today’s card, I used the new Picket Fence die, along with the Stitched Duo 2 (for the main piece) and the Stitched Borders 1 for the grassy hill and the red scallop border. I love how the picket fence really makes the scene feel like it’s outside and brings the whole superhero scene together.

I will admit, I cannot stop using the Spring Flowers Mix. These little flowers work well on so many themes and depending on how many you add, you really can make each pack stretch.

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before March 11, 2015 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!

Ready to hop on over and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration? Each of these gals are extremely talented and I truly am honored they took the time to make something with my new dies and sequins.

March 2015 Release + Giveaway

It’s here, it’s here! The March release is here! This month I have three brand new dies, a new sequin and confetti color and some fabulous new sequin mixes. Spring is on the horizon and you can tell I’m gearing up for it with this release.

I’ve always been a fan of cards that have a scene and with the new Picket Fence die, it makes everything come together perfectly. I pulled out the new Wplus9 set called Unforgettable (which is my current favorite set) and had the little elephant take the spotlight. I think it’s so fun how it looks like he’s prancing along the grass with flowers scattered about. Those flowers are from the new Spring Flowers Mix, which is something that has been requested for some time. I love how this mix turned out and I know you all will love using these flowers on your cards!

March 2015 Release + Giveaway

As I was creating this card, I was trying to figure out a way to add a sentiment and then an AHA moment came. Why not try putting the sentiment on the new Stitched Labels 1 die? I was giddy with how it turned out and now I’m thinking of all the other possibilities!

March 2015 Release + Giveaway

This second card features the new Stitched Banner Duo, along with the yummy new Lime Sorbet sequins. When I designed this die set, I really wanted to focus on creating a banner shape that was meant for cards, but also had the option to be used for other crafting projects. More ideas for this die coming in future posts/ videos!

March 2015 Release + Giveaway

In today’s video, I highlight the way I layered the Stitched Borders 1 & 2 dies. Every now and then, an idea will come to me and I want to share it. This, my friends, is one of them. How neat does it look with the stitched scallop and straight stitched border look layered?! Such a small detail, but I think it really enhances the card.

Birthday Celebration Day #2

 birthday_graphic

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh 1st birthday celebration.

I hope you are ready for another day of partying- I have more designers and special guests joining me today with new inspiration. Yesterday I created a card that had more “boy” colors, so today I wanted to do the opposite and create a super girly card. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I’m trying to create more so I can send them to some special friends.

I know that penguins tend to be used for Christmas/ Winter cards, but I thought it would be cute to use them for Valentine’s Day. Plus, I’m sure penguins fall in love, right?

Pretty Pink Posh I Birthday Celebration Day #2

For this card I used the Stitched Duo 3 dies, which I thought worked so well with the penguins. If you know me, you know I love creating window cards with critters peeking out- hence the designing of these dies!

To finish up the card, I used the red chevron twill ribbon (which I just got back in stock), along with sequins for some added detail.

Pretty Pink Posh I Birthday Celebration Day #2

No party would be complete without guests, gifts and a party favor, right? I know I did a coupon code for Black Friday, but this was a special occasion and I couldn’t pass up the chance to do a coupon. During the celebration, save 10% off your order using the coupon code provided below.

Pretty Pink Posh I Birthday Celebration Day #2As I mentioned before, I have special guests joining in the celebration and I cannot wait for you to see what they made with the new dies and sequins. Be sure to leave them lots of love- I’ll be giving away prizes to some comments left on their blogs!

Santa Joy + Giveaway

As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t done a new release this month….yet. I have products all ready and the goal is to have them all up by November 15th. We’re expecting some sunny days this week, which means I get to film some videos and get these product photos taken care of. Oy, with this overcast and rainy weather, it’s so hard to get some of my day-to-day things done!

Today I wanted to share a card that I may using some Mama Elephant stamps- you know I love them! For this card I used the Cozy Christmas and Block Party Letters sets to create a mini scene. I’ll come right out and say that I think the metallic red sequins on the Christmas tree ties this card together. No fussy bows or twine on this card- just some basic stamping, coloring and sequins!

mamaelephant3a

For those who are wondering the best adhesive to use for sequins, I HIGHLY recommend the Studio Multi Medium Matte. It dries clear, has a super strong hold and you can add as much, or as little, as you want to secure your embellishments. You can find it at Simon Says Stamp HERE or Ellen Hutson HERE.

mamaelephant3b

GIVEAWAY ALERT: I’m giving away an extra Cozy Christmas set that I purchased in this post. With the holidays right around the corner, be on the lookout for all sorts of giveaways on  my blog and social media accounts. I’ve purchased all sorts of goodies to give away to YOU, my amazing readers and customers!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

That’s going to wrap up today’s little post. I’ll see some of you later on my social media sites- I just love interacting with you all on my Facebook page and Instagram– reading your sweet comments and always makes my day a little brighter!

Until next time…

Mama Elephant Stampede

I am beyond thrilled to be a special guest in celebration of Mama Elephant’s 2nd Anniversary Stampede. The gals at Mama Elephant are such an inspiration to me and I must say, their stamps have quickly become my favorite brand. They have a knack for creating the perfect cute, whimsical and classic sets and their sentiments sets are superb.

Today I’m sharing their new set Block Party Letters, along with Polar Pals (a set previously released). I used the new letters to create “MERRY” and then I masked off one of the sentiments from Polar Pals to get the “and bright” sentiment.

Pretty Pink Posh I Polar Pals

My readers will know that I love shaker cards and it has been a little while since I created one. I thought today was the perfect time to fix this! Seriously, how scrumptious is this Aquamarine, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear mixture?

If you are new to sequin shakers, I put together a video showing how to make your own. It’s not as overwhelming as it may look, I promise! It has been such a joy to see so many of you making sequin shakers after watching my tutorial. Seeing that my video has inspired you totally makes the work behind it so worth it!

Glittery Limes + VIDEO

The countdown has begun: only 9 days until the Cutting Edge Blog Hop

Today I’m sharing some inspiration using several dies, along with stamps from one of the blog hop sponsors- Reverse Confetti! A few of my design team gals are on the RC team and after seeing all sorts of yummy samples using the Fresh ‘N Fruity set, I just had to get this set. I’m in love with this polka dot fruit!

If you know my style, you know that I typically like to add splashes of color to my cards, but I went full on green for this one. I DID go ahead and dress it up with some glitter, sequins and lots of scallops.

Pretty Pink Posh I Glittery Limes

I love myself a good punny sentiment, but for this particular card, I decided to piece together some Mama Elephant sentiment. I adore the “love you” font and I thought it made this card a little more girlie.

Pretty Pink Posh I Glittery Limes

It’s been about a month since I last did a start-to-finish card video, so I thought I would show you how to make this card. It’s not super hard, but I do share some little tricks and tips in this video. I hope you enjoy it!

August 2014 Release

Hello, sweet readers!

It’s a BUSY here today as I’m announcing the new products for August, along with the much anticipated announcement of the next BIG PPP blog hop (that’s coming a little later).

First things first, I’m releasing five new products today and I must say, I’m very excited about each of them. After the great response from the first set of dies I released, I went to the drawing board and got a second batch into production. These dies work SO well with the first dies I released, as you’ll see in my cards and video.

augustrelease1a

This first card showcases the great tag shape from the Stitched Duo 1, but I paired it up with one of the NEW dies- the circles from Stitched Duo 2!

It’s no secret that I love cute stamps and these friends by Mama Elephant are ADORABLE. You can do so many things with them, but I’ll admit that I love using them with my dies. They each have so much character on their own- you don’t even need to be a pro at coloring them!

*Purchase the In My Heart set at Simon Says Stamp OR Ellen Hutson.

augustrelease1b

This next card features the new Stitched Film Strip, which is a die that I cannot stop using. It’s hands down one of my all-time favorites (can I say that if I design it?!) and I think you all are going to love it as well. Just like my other die, this is great for creating mini scenes on cards!

For some reason, I think this little friends look so cute with the mini flower sequins that I have in the Summer Embellishment Kit. It add to the “cute” factor of the card and honestly, it’s just hard to resist adding sequins to all my cards.

augustrelease2a

This card is only the beginning of possibilities with the Stitched Film Strip. Coming next week, I’ll have a product release blog hop with the design team and special guests- you’ll definitely want to get your dies before they sell out! These designers are absolutely AMAZING!

augustrelease2b

Okay, now on to the video showing you the new products, along with sneaks of cards I’ll be sharing soon. Be sure to watch the video- there’s a glimpse at an EXCLUSIVE product for Ellen Hutson!
