Day 2: October Blog Hop

Day 2: October Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hello, Gemma here today with a cozy Christmas card to share. I used the new Winter Mug die set, which I teamed with the new Layered Snowflakes stencil.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

I started with the background, blending distress oxide inks through the 3 layers of the Layered Snowflakes stencil set. I used Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina and Speckled Egg. Over the Speckled Egg layer, I also added Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste for a touch of sparkle. I then put the background aside to dry.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

Next, I die cut the Winter Mug from blue and red sparkle card. Behind the red mug, I added two more die cut layers from plain red card, for dimension. There are lots of fun elements in the Winter Mug die set. I die cut some candy canes, snowflakes and marshmallows, along with the piece for the drink in the mugs.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

Once the background was dry, I adhered it to a square card base, then added the Winter Mugs on top. Finally, I added a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set, die cut using a banner die from the Holiday Envelopes coordinating die – both are new sets in this release. I also added a red banner behind for another pop of colour.

BONUS: do you spot the fun trees in the background of my card photos? These were created using the fabulous Pine Trees die set from the October release!

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today on the PPP blog. I’ve made beautiful paper floral arrangements with the new Winter Foliage Dies. It’s a long process, but totally worth it once it’s all put together.

Day 1: October Blog Hop

With the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set, I painted sheets of watercolor cardstock in shades of brown, gold, green, red, yellow, and pearl white. I cut the Winter Foliage Dies in these cardstocks and made a floral arrangement by gluing the smaller elements onto the large flower. I then splattered some white paint on the floral piece for added interest.

Day 1: October Blog Hop

These floral clusters are so addicting and fun to make. You can combine different sizes and different elements and use them for cards, gifts, and other projects. I just love the way they turned out!

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Stencils

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am excited to be back sharing a sneak peek of the new stencils coming to Pretty Pink Posh on October 17th. Today I will be using two of the stencils sets, Layered Winter Foliage and Layered Mittens, so let’s get started…

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Stencils

My first card uses the Layered Winter Foliage set to create my card panel. This is a set of three stencils that layer together to create a beautiful winter background. To make my panel, I used dye ink and small blender brushes to add ink to each layer. So easy to use and the stencils are very forgiving. Once my panel was finished I added a few gold splatters and set it aside to dry.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Stencils

Next, I used the Winter Foliage die set to create my floral cluster and greenery. I die cut the pieces from a variety of cardstock colors and then attached them to my card panel. Lastly, I used the Holiday Envelopes set to stamp and die cut my sentiment.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Stencils

My next card uses the new Layered Mittens stencil set.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Stencils

I started my card by using the Layered Mittens stencil set to make my card panel. I used a variety of dye ink and blending brushes to add the colors to the mittens. Next, I added Deco Foil Transfer Gel to the third stencil (the cuffs). Once that was dry I ran it through my laminator with a Flock Transfer Sheet in white to add a fuzzy texture to the cuffs.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Stencils

To finish my card, I die cut two snowflakes with the Mitten Shaker die and ink blended them with pink and purple ink. I then attached them to the center of my panel. Lastly, I used the Holiday Sentiments set to stamp my sentiment.

Thanks for joining me today. Join us tomorrow as we reveal the products and the bundles go live!

Enjoy your day, Dana

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Dies

Hi Friends! Raquel here and I’m so happy to be here today to share with you some fun and wintery project. I’m showcasing the Winter Mug die set and Winter Foliage die set for the upcoming release. This holiday release is jam packed with so many gorgeous and creative products that you are going to love!

I started this project by creating a background. I used the new Layered Christmas Lights Stencils. I decided to use just the first layer so that my background had this dreamy look and not too busy.

New release will be available October 17th.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Dies

Next up I die cut several dies of this set and also used the pine branches dies from the Winter Foliage Die.

I applied some ink to my die cut pieces with a blending brush. These are the colors I used:

Mug: Salvaged Patina, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles Distress inks.
Greenery: Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness Distress inks.
Pine Cones: Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain distress inks.
Berries: Festive Berries Distress Inks.
Snowflake: Pine Needles Distress Ink.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Dies

I applied some glossy accents on almost every single pine tree or of leave and then added Clear Rock Candy Glitter and Distress Mica Flakes.

Lastly, I stamped my sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set and added the gorgeous Pine Green Pearls.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Dies

I started this project by creating my background using one of the new Layered Foliage stencils with Speckled Egg, Festive Berries, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo Distress inks.

Next, I die cut almost all the pieces of this stunning set out of watercolor cardstock. Then comes the part that I love most about creating that is coloring these die cuts.

After debating between different colors combos I decided to use the same colors I had used for my background so the final design had a cohesive look. I have become addicted to using Rock Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter and Distress Mica Flakes on my holiday projects so I applied some Glossy accents onto the poinsettia and almost all the foliage and then sprinkled some of glitter and flakes with my fingers.

Sneak Peek: October 2022 Dies

I also added some Ruby Red pearls and gold heat embossed the Joy sentiment which is from the Pine Wreath stamp set.

I hope I gave you some ideas to create with these new die sets, you are going to enjoy these dies so much! Join us tomorrow for the last sneak peek featuring the new stencils.

Sneak Peek: Happy Santa + Winter Drinks

Hi folks, Kavya here with yet another fun sneak peek! I love holiday releases because it means sooooo many cute critters! I also love all the adorable and holiday themed decor and food that’s usually available at this time of the year!

Today’s card is a fun Christmas card for a special friend who patiently waits for the holiday themed drinks every year. For this card, I used a bunch of stamps from the new release and combined them to create a single scene. Let’s get started!

New release will be available October 17th.

Sneak Peek: Happy Santa + Winter Drinks

I first started off by ink blending my background using Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet. Then, I added a layer of linen cardstock on the bottom for the land. Later, I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Happy Santa, Winter Drinks and Pine Wreath. Adhered them to the card base and added a sentiment from Pine Wreath and Winter Drinks to finish off my card!

Sneak Peek: Happy Santa + Winter Drinks

I hope you liked today’s inspiration. Check back tomorrow for more sneak peeks of the October 17th release.

Happy Creating,
Kavya

Sneak Peek: Holiday Envelopes

Hello friends! Tammy here with a sneak peek of the new Holiday Envelopes stamp set. This adorable set features two different envelope images, along with some fun sentiments and coordinating dies.

New release will be available October 17th.

Sneak Peek: Holiday Envelopes

To begin, I stamped out the snowflake envelope, colored with Copic markers, and die cut it with the Holiday Envelopes coordinating dies. I added some fine white glitter to the snowflakes to add a touch of shimmer. Next, I stamped the penguins from Penguin Pals, coloring them with Copic markers before die cutting with the Penguin Pals coordinating dies.

Sneak Peek: Holiday Envelopes

Next, I ink blended a die cut rectangle with Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I placed the new Layered Snowflake Stencils over the inked background and lightly inked some white pigment ink to create the subtle snowflake background. I then splattered some white acrylic paint (thinned with water) onto the stenciled background to add interest.

Sneak Peek: Holiday Envelopes

Next, I attached the inked rectangle onto striped patterned paper. I adhered the snowflake envelope image onto the background, then stacked the penguins on top of each other, attaching with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto red cardstock sentiment strip, die cut from the Holiday Envelopes coordinating dies and attached with foam tape. Lastly, I added some white  snowflake embellishments from the new Winter Snowflake Clay Confetti to add a finishing touch!

I hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek! Come back tomorrow for another look at the October 17th release!

Hugs, Tammy

Sneak Peek: Pine Wreath

Hello, Gemma here today with an exciting sneak peek of the new Pine Wreath stamp set.

New release will be available October 17th.

Sneak Peek: Pine Wreath

This fun set allows you to achieve different looks for your holiday cards, using the many smaller images from the stamp set on the wreath. I’ve created both a traditional card and a more modern card, to show this versatility.

Sneak Peek: Pine Wreath

For the traditional wreath, I stamped the image using a few different green inks. I like the texture and variation this gives to the wreath. I decorated the wreath using the holly, berries, and pine cone images from the Pine Wreath stamp set. I added a large red bow, also from the stamp set. All the images are coloured with copic markers and die cut with the Pine Wreath coordinating dies.

Sneak Peek: Pine Wreath

The lovely ‘joy’ sentiment, which I heat embossed in gold, is from the Pine Wreath stamp set and has a coordinating die. I think it looks so elegant with the wreath. I finished the card by layering the wreath over some patterned paper on a 4.75” square card base, then adding some of the new Ruby Red pearls.

Sneak Peek: Pine Wreath

To create a more modern style of wreath, I heat embossed the wreath in gold for my second card. I decorated it with baubles and stars from the Pine Wreath stamp set, all coloured with copic markers. I also added some different coloured pearls to coordinate.

Sneak Peek: Pine Wreath

As with the first card, I layered the wreath over some patterned paper on a 4.75” square card base. I finished by stamping a sentiment, from the Pine Wreath stamp set, in the centre of the wreath.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for another sneak peek of the October 17th release!

Spooky Sky + Video

Hey friends! It’s Mindy with you today to share how I created this Spooky Sky for my little ghost friends.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

When I think of spooky, I think of bats and the Spooky Sky stencil is perfect to set my scene.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spooky Sky + Video

I start by ink blending Cracked Pistachio distress oxide ink to the center of the card front. Then I went around the edges with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spooky Sky + Video

To start creating the scene, I’m using the clouds layer and ink blending on Hickory Smoke. For the bats layer, I’m adding a heavy amount of Black Soot.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spooky Sky + Video

Before I add the third layer of the stencil, I’m going to splatter on some copic white using a paint brush. Then I’ll hit that with my heat tool to speed up the drying process.

Now to add my stars, I’m using Gold Glitz Glitter Gel which has a ton of sparkle!

Pretty Pink Posh: Spooky Sky + Video

I’m using a sentiment from the Ghost Friends stamp set which I stamped in black ink onto white cardstock. I’m going to add this to a circle I die cut from Black cardstock using the Halloween Circles die. This grounds my sentiment a little bit.

I can then add the sentiment and circle to the center of the card and arrange my ghosts around that. The light ink blending I did previously will help draw your eye into the center of the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s spooky card! Thanks for spending time with me today.

Rainbow Tree

Hello, Gemma here today with a fun rainbow tree card to share. I used the new Fall Tree die set to create my project. I began by die cutting the trunk portion of the tree from some dark brown woodgrain card.

I then die cut lots of leaves from white card. The leaves portion is one die, but die cuts out 4 different styles of leaves in 2 sizes. This gives lots of options for changing the look of your tree. I’ve chosen just one of the styles of leaves for my card today.

Using copic markers, I coloured the leaves in a rainbow of colours. I found this easier than looking for different colours of card stock and it gave me a wider range of tones within the rainbow. For those interested, I used the following markers, but you could use any markers you have on hand:
Reds: R29 R24 R22 R20 Oranges: YR18 YR15 YR02 YR00 Yellows: Y17 Y13 Y15 Y11 Greens: G17 G07 YG25 YG05 Turquoise: BG49 BG72 BG13 BG11 Blues: B66 B34 B04 B01 Purples: BV04 BV02 V17 V15 Pinks: RV66 RV34 RV25 RV04

Next, I worked on my card base. On a 5.25″ card base, I used a low tack tape to mask an area. I then blended distress oxide inks in the following colours: Abandoned Coral, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo. Carefully removing the tape reveals a nice crisp rainbow line across the card.

I used liquid glue to adhere the tree, followed by the rainbow leaves. I finished by adding a birthday greeting from the Simple Sentiments stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope this card inspired you!
