Poppy Seed Challenge- #2

Hi there!
It’s a beautiful day in Washington. The sun is shining and the whole weekend is before us. Really looking forward to resting up after my crazy work week. Today I’m spending time with my sister, which will be fun. We’re going to see Bounty Hunter- the movie with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. It looks like a good one!
Today I have a quick and easy card for Lisa’s Poppy Seed Challenge. This time around we were to use spring moss, buttons and polka dots. Usually it’s not too difficult for me to come up with a card with these elements but this time it was a toughy. My mom is doing a show this weekend so she had to take almost all the markers, a majority of the stamps and all of the scallop paper punches. For some reason my brain froze since I knew I couldn’t use these items. This card isn’t horrible, but it’s definitely not my best work. Hopefully I’ll have time to create another card for this challenge!
In closing I wanted to let you know that I *finally* updated my Items for Sale page- I’d love for you to check it out!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you were inspired!
Stamps: Small Daisy Blossom, Large Daisy Blossom, Signature Greetings, Polka Dot Basics
Paper: White, Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist

Other: assorted buttons, corner rounder

2 Sketches 4 You- Kazan’s Sketch #48

Hey, it’s me again. Boy am I glad that tomorrow is my last work day of the week. It’s been a LONG week and I’m in dire need of some rest. Lots of exciting things happenin’ at work, which of course, leads to lots of planning and paperwork. At least most of it is fun stuff!
Tonight I have a card to share that was based off of Kazan’s sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You. This card is a lot more busy than usual, but I still like how it turned out. Can you tell that I’m digging turquoise lately? Seems like I just can’t get enough! Paired up some very “non-Paulina” colors for this one but I think it all goes together nicely. What are your thoughts?
It’s getting late and I need to rest up. Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Eggs Galore

Hey there!

I hope your week has been going well- just two days until the weekend! My work week has been ridiculously busy….can’t wait until I can relax a bit.
Over at the DeNami blog, we’re doing our first Product Spotlight. This month I chose to showcase the fabulous Easter Eggs since Easter is right around the corner and I was dying to play with these eggs again. ;) Instead of the traditional pastel Easter eggs, I decided to liven things up and go bright. These colors make me so happy! One of my new favorite stamps is the Stitched Border– doesn’t it make a great background?
I know I posted a card similar to this one recently, but I wanted to bring it back again for this post. You all know I’m a huge fan of polka dots so I couldn’t resist adding a few with the baskets. ;) I think it freshens it up and also adds a little more color.
Are you ready for Easter? Do you have any traditions? This year I’m planning on decorating eggs for the very first time- it’s going to be so much fun! Any decorating pros have tips? I have NO clue how to do any of it, so I’ll take any tips you have to share!
Have a great day, friends! Hope you were inspired!

St. Patrick’s Day

I know it’s not actually St. Patrick’s Day, but I have another card scheduled for tomorrow so I thought I’d share my SPD card today! If you have seen a picture of me, you know that I am FAR from Irish. ;) Even though I don’t have a speck of Irish in me, I still wanted to create a “green” card. I’m very much a girly girl so it was fun to play with a more neutral color palette.

This week I’ll have two posts with some fun DeNami products. Right now we are having a design team call, so if you’re looking to be part of a DT, this one is a great one! First of all, you get to work with fab products. Secondly, you get to work with me! LOL If you are interested, you can find the details here.

I have lots of things that I want to do this week- one of them being to that video I have been promising! It seems like anytime I get some free time, something comes up. I haven’t forgotten, blog friends! I will get to it eventually!

Stamps: St. Patrick’s Day (Studio G), Background Basics: Tin Types
Paper: White, Brown Kraft, Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss
Ink: Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Tea Dye Duo
Other: Marvy 2″ scallop circle punch, green rhinestones, Ripe Avocado grosgrain ribbon, button, twine

Super Exciting

Happy Saturday! I hope you all have some fun plans for the weekend. Today I had an intense training session with my trainer, went to breakfast with my siblings and tonight we’re celebrating my sisters 21st birthday. I’m hoping to get some stamping done before a publication call ends…..lots of fun stuff planned!

Oh, I am so excited about this post. Lots of fun stuff in this one! Today I have a super fun card featuring a new stamp I bought by Memory Box. Isn’t that polka dot trunk cute? I had fun coloring those little birds and the leaves. After I finished the card looked like it need something so I added some “nests”. I have had these burlap bags for a while and never used them. Isn’t it cute?? I thought it was pretty genius. ;)

Okay, so moving on to my super exciting news…..I am going to be published in CARDS magazine! When I got the email I literally screamed. (My little brother even came upstairs to see if I was okay!) As most of you know, being published was one of my goals this year- I didn’t dream it would happen so quickly! The issue will be released in August- can’t wait for you all to see! To me, CARDS is THE magazine to be in. The best of the best are featured there. I feel so incredibly honored and blessed to be a part of it.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you were inspired!

Embellish Fabric Color Challenge

Hey, I’m back with another post!

As I was doing my routine blog browsing I saw that Embellish had a new challenge up. Have I mentioned how much I love them? ;) This time around Ashley challenged us to use some fabric on a card- something I have never done before. I didn’t have any fabric of my own so I dug through some of my mom’s scraps. Shhh…don’t tell her! Since this was my first time using fabric on a card, I didn’t have any genius ideas on how to incorporate it. I added the strip of fabric behind the balloon panel which added some dimension and also reminded me of clouds. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope this card inspired you to play along with this challenge!

Easter Chick

Hi sweet friends!

With Easter approaching us quickly, I thought I’d show you a quick and easy Easter card. Can you believe this card uses ZERO stamping? Yup, you read that right! Paulina not stamping on a card? Who would have thought…. This is my first card using a digital image. Dawn from WPlus9 (the person who released the FAB Funky Foliage) recently started some digital downloads on her site. Normally I have no interest in digital images but this one was just so darn cute! I’m still very much a stamping girl, but it was fun to try something new!

Well, this is a short post. Not too much to say today. :) Have a fab day!

Three in One

Hi there!

I’m so glad that we have made it to Wednesday. Only one more day until my weekend starts! I am so ready for a little R & R. Well, I won’t get too much of that, but at least I won’t have to go to work for a few days! This weekend we’re celebrating my sisters 21st birthday- I can’t believe she is going to be “legal”! I remember when she was in kindergarten…..where has the time gone?!

Today I’m excited to share a card featuring all three of Courtney’s stamp sets. I have been trying to create a card featuring all three sets but kept falling short. Thankfully I *finally* created one that I liked!

Here’s a breakdown of the stamps used from the sets:
Key to my Heart: “Hey Friend” sentiment
You’re Dandy: Cloud images
Look Up: Hot Air Balloon

Last night was the first time in four days that I had stamped. I’m working on a few design team items, which I’ll get to share next week. Right now I’m working with some Easter stamps, which is always super fun. Gotta love the pastel and bright colors!

Hope you enjoyed today’s card and were inspired! Talk to you soon…

Baby Birdies

Thank you all so much for your well wishes, words of encouragement and prayers! I know I can always count on my blog friends to cheer me up! Today is much better than yesterday, but I’m still not feeling quite myself. The past few nights I’ve been going to bed before 9. *gasp* That just goes to show you that I really am not myself- oh yes, and I haven’t stamped for four days! Thankfully I have a large slew of cards that you haven’t seen before…..

Today I’m showcasing what might be, in my opinion, the best baby card I have ever made. I love these colors together! I’m using the adorable Tweety Bird Border and Small Solid Button again- I just can’t get enough! I think this card encaptures everything I love: buttons, scallops, dots, pink, aqua and brown. The only thing missing is rhinestones! :)

For those who don’t follow me on Twitter, I want to let you know that I’ll be at the CHA SuperShow in Illinois on July 30 & 31st. I hope to meet lots more of my crafting friends! Are any of you planning on attending? I had so much fun in Anaheim I didn’t need to think twice about attending this one!

That’s all for now. Hope you were inspired!

Welcome Little Carson

Monday greetings!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Did you do anything fun? I went to a fancy dinner/ auction with my sisters at the Four Seasons hotel in Seattle this weekend. Oh my goodness, that hotel was gorgeous and the view was spectacular! I felt like a movie star- they had valet parking, opened the doors for us, took our bags up to our room, filled the ice and pulled down the covers at night! I could get used to being treated like that! :)

Today I have a fun baby card for my friend. Last year I made this card for her newborn daughter. She loved it so much she framed it! There was just a tiny bit of pressure for this card. *wink* I knew I had to customize it- it makes the card so much more special. It’s a little hard to tell in the picture but there are dots on the cream cardstock….I could never leave that much blank cardstock!

On a personal note, these past few weeks I’ve been dealing with some stuff that hasn’t been fun. I have no motivation or urge to do anything. Cardmaking and even going to the gym feels like a chore. I’ve gone through depression throughout my life but that doesn’t make it any easier to handle. Really hoping that this phase goes away soon– it’s lame! If you think of it, I’d love prayers….knowing I have friends out there thinking of me will really help.

Thanks, guys! You know I’m usually pretty cheery so if these past few posts haven’t seemed like that, this is the reason! (I did try to hide it, but I don’t know how successful I was.)
